Hi friends, I am coming to you with a vast plea for positive thoughts, and for hopes that someone in Tucson might see this post, and know where Coco is.  Please please, help us find Coco!

Coco is a female Chocolate Labrador, 5 years old, missing from the Northern Heights area in Oro Valley (Tucson, Arizona).

Coco NEEDS daily medication!

If you have seen her please call: 520-237-2703

Update:  Coco is still missing as of October 9, 2011.  If she is found or any info comes my way, I promise to update this post, as well as mention any news in the current post at the time.  Thank so much 🖤

Coco belongs to a friend of mine, who I have known since I was 14 years old.  And to her grown son, who I have known since before he was born.  Coco is their everything.

Coco went missing from her backyard night before last, in a home my friends had just moved into a couple of weeks ago.

Her boy misses her desperately!!!

There are oceans of tears, search parties, prayers, handmade signs and hopes swirling around thoughts of Coco right now.  Constant calls and visits to the humane society, animal control and more.

Their lives are upside down right now, searching, helpless, sleepless…..

We don't know how or why she is missing.

My friend got home from work and Coco was simply gone from their backyard.

Sigh……

This is the area where she went missing from (Northern Heights), map below.

This is all I can do to help, short of praying my heart out-

In hopes that someone might google info about her, and find this.

She is wearing a collar with her contact information.

Please please call 520-237-2703 if you know anything about Coco.

I know you will send up some thoughts, in hopes Coco is returned home, safe and sound.

ps:  I took these photos of Coco last summer, on a whim, and searched for them frantically today.  Such a beyond important thing to have really good pictures of your pets, kids, loved ones.  Take pictures if you have not, have them handy.  That is a lesson learned……🖤

pss:  Feel free to spread the word and use any of my photos!!  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!  Coco is in Craig's List, and her grandma lives at her previous home.  So, everyone is working hard to find her.  Oh, how I hope to all hopes!!

  7. Wind Dancer says:

If they just moved, I’d check their old home. Chances are you’ll find Coco there or on her way to it. Good luck!!!

  8. Wind Dancer, you are so right! The good news is that my friend’s Mom lives at their other house. And they keep driving back and forth in hopes of finding her. Hopes a bunches!

  9. Kelly says:

Vanessa, maybe Coco got out and headed back to original home before they moved? I have a sister in law living in Marana, she can pass on the word and contact her friends living out that way. Sending out prayers for coco and the family!

  10. Alia says:

I live in Oro Valley so I will be sure to keep a sharp eye out. Unfortunately I don’t many other people around here to tell. I was going to mention the old house too, but it looks like they are on top of it. Poor Coco, I hope she is okay!

  11. Sarah says:

I am sending good thoughts and hopes. I really really hope Coco is found. xx

Sending all my positive energy that Coco will be found quickly. What an awful experience for your friend and her son. When you are an animal person, you feel their pain.

    Kim

  15. Thoughts and prayers ascending that an angel of mercy will deliver Coco home.
    {heavy sigh} Poor baby fur baby…

  16. Ruthinks says:

I am so sad for them. I am in KS, so very far away, but am hoping and praying for a safe and speedy trip back home for Coco. When they are driving around looking, maybe they can have some of her favorite treats with them in the car. My dog we had when I was young got out of our backyard and was missing for several days. I grabbed some of his favorite cheese to go searching with my mom in her car and we finally saw him. He was very scared and even seemed like he didn’t recognize us, so I went back to the car and got a slice of cheese, and then he timidly came to me, grabbed the cheese, and hopped in the car. Best Day!!! Locks were put on the gate when we got home. Hugs to your friends, Coco, and to you for helping them.

  17. Jessica says:

Oh I will post something on my blog to send them hope and hopefully help people find Coco quickly! Poor little thing….I am soooo sorry to the people who are missing their loved one. That must be the most difficult thing in the world.
Sending positive vibes and thoughts your way! You are in my prayers….
Hugs, hexes, and bunches of good luck!

  19. Laura says:

I see someone else mentioned it already, but the owners need to go back to their previous home and look for the dog. Sometimes they get confused when they move. I’ll be praying they find this precious dog soon! Tell them to put a Lost report on Craigslist, signs up at the vets in the area, and of course, call the pound/humane society in case someone turns her in.

  20. Laura, you are so right. All great tips!
They have done all of these things. My friends Mother lives in the
previous house, which is good news. They put Coco on Craig’s list the day
she went missing, and my friend has been to the humane society and animal
control twice (and called hundreds of times). They are so
desperate!! I hope they find her, sigh…..

  21. Cori G. says:

Oh Vanessa!!! How sad!!!! Have your friends checked the old house to see if she’d turned up there?? I know that many times animals will do that when they’ve left a home they loved and moved to another. Growing up I had a dachshund named Lady Clara Bell who moved to Phoenix with my mother(she was 15 at the time of the move). Clara decided she didn’t like Phoenix and walked right out into the desert heading back to Yuma. She was found a week later miles and miles outside of town heading south.
I know that the Lord cares deeply for His little furry creatures. My prayers are with your friends and I pray that Coco turns up soon.
    xoxo

  22. Nicki says:

Hi, Vanessa – my heart goes out to your friend. I have a cousin who lives in Arizona, though I think she lives in Phoenix. I posted on her Facebook wall in case she or maybe her friends find Coco or hear about someone else finding a dog. Never know! Hopefully the word will spread and Coco will be safely home soon. Good Luck!! Be sure to tell us what happens.
    Nicki

  23. Thank you sweet Nicki!!!

  24. Nicki says:

Also I reposted your info on my blog in hopes of further spreading the word. Hopefully if they google about Coco they will get one of our posts. If you or her owner don’t want me to post about it, though, do let me know and I’ll take it down. Just trying to help as I’ve had pets missing in the past and I know how hard it was to wait and worry. One time our cat went into a neighbor’s basement somehow just before they locked up and went on a trip. Poor baby was stuck there for like two weeks. We thought he was dead. Luckily he survived somehow and we got him back much thinner and scared, but okay. There is always hope!!
    Nicki

  25. Nicki, post away!! I welcome anyone to do so, it means so much!!!!
    xoxo

  26. emile says:

I don’t know anyone living in that area who could keep their eye out for her, but I’m keeping Coco and her family in my thoughts & prayers. This breaks my heart — I really, truly hope they find her soon!!

  27. Theresa says:

Oh, this is so heartbreaking. I will keep sweet Coco in my thoughts. xoxo

  28. Rachel says:

Oh no, your poor friends. I really hope that they find Coco soon.
Unfortunately I don’t have any links to Arizona but I’ll be sending lots of positive thoughts and hoping that Coco returns safe and sound.

  29. Leslie says:

Have they found sweet Coco yet???????? My heart is breaking………..

  30. Leslie, no sign of Coco yet. There were some strange occurrences with
the neighbors prior to her being gone…… so, all sorts of thoughts are
swirling. So sad…… But I am still
    hoping!!!!!!!!!

  31. Linda Diane says:

My heart breaks over sad dog stories, and I am praying that Coco is safe and well and that she is back home very soon. I will continue to pray! Sending love to those who miss her and to you, Vanessa, for being such a loving friend to them.
