So you say you believe in fairies do ya?
Would you say there are fairies spreading fairy dust in all sorts of venues? Like, let's seeeeee, ummm… Hotels maybe?
Remember when you were at that nice hotel and stole (I mean, borrowed forever) a lovely hard cover book that talked about local and statewide delights? All those nice glossy pages?? I have a collection of San Diego ones myself ;) Even one from Santa Fe & I think I have one from New York too…
Well, you can imagine my surprise, when a certain LA based art director contacted me from the creative hub of such books. Nah, I thought. It ain't for real, it just is not. Must be a scam. They must want to bill me for all the books I have collected from hotel to hotel… Yep, that must be it.
But this certain art director, I'll call him Mister M, seemed very serious. He had a list of all my photos and creations he liked. He wanted them, to use. To use, asked I? Hmmmm, what's it gonna cost me? Asks me 😉
Now that I look back on it, he must have thought I was a certified nutcake. I sounded like that kid in home alone, asking oodles of questions, and the guy he is asking questions to, is like, "get lost kid…"
So, I pondered and pondered. And finally, went for it. I didn't understand how they wanted to use my photos, but I obliged. Maybe they would just scatter them around I thought? So, I got all FTP savvy, and got ready to upload my photos to their server. Although, I think I e-mailed them in the end. Either way, I sent them off and that was that…
I didn't let it enter my mind again. Until I got an e-mail from the delightful Miss L (Editor-in-chief from the Scottsdale branch). Who informed me that, the photos were for an article about art and craft in the Arizona Guidebook. (by the way, Mr. M and Miss L, were beyond super delightful to work with)
OH me oh my, says I ;) There really must be fairies!
Miss L asks for my address to send a copy when the 2009 book comes out, and I go one with my day to day activities for a couple of months ;) Like, saving Mister Lovee from well, himself really (ya, I didn't tell you about how he set himself on fire and was covered in it from head to toe all over the back of his robe did I? Umm yep, that is his version of making breakfast, teppanyaki show style I guess - oh and ps, don't turn on the stove when you have threads hanging off the cuff of your robe), and quail eggs from the dog, and bunnies from the dog, and puppies from the dog…
And, and and… Somewhere in there I get in some painting and creating, and squeezing limequats… Hey, speaking of fairies, seems I am like the fairy of our dirt parcel to Mister Lovee and the creatures, or maybe, the creatures here see me more as a Garden Gnome? Who knows…
Anyhow, fast forward to Tuesday. Off I go a merrily skipping along in 3 night gowns and 4 crooked crowns, in the dirt, and check my mailbox. Only to find a parcel so lovely, I squeal. Mister Lovee is driving down the driveway towards me as he is leaving for the office, and I throw myself on his car, I roll over it, and wonder if I should roll in the dirt too?
I skip and squeal, and exclaim, "I want to roll in the dirt!!" Of course, if there was grass, I would opt for that, but since there is only dirt, you get the picture…
So, I am overreacting, because this is what I see when I rip open Miss L's lovely packaging and open the book to the smack center…
WHAT? I never, not ever, not in a million years, expected THIS!
Wholey Guacamole, it's my BABIES!! What, who, where?? Oh goodness me, I must roll in the dirt out of glee!
There are a couple of snippets of my verbage throughout, and even an plug for wonderful magnificent Etsy!!
And, really, all I have to say for today is that, I am tickled to no end, but the one thing that really comes to mind is this…
I believe! I believe in magic and working hard, and holding on to your dreams. I believe in love and life, and even through loss, I believe in the enchantment of memories and heart strings and hope and SMILES…
In my late teens and early twenties, lots of people I met in the world, tried to break me down. Tried to hurt my soul, tried to tell me what I did or what I made, wasn't good, just to be mean. Sometimes I fell, and cried, and got incredibly hurt, but I always got up, and kept holding on to art and creatures and ideas. I learned how to nix the negative out of my life. I built my life around art, made all my life's decisions with art in mind. Art saves me, little faces save me. So, when I see my creatures in a little book as such I smile, and it fills my soul with such bursting joy.
In my humble way, I say, we should try to never let go of our dreams.
And above all, we should smile & believe…
My little dream in life has always been, peace in my soul, slices of happiness, health for my family, not too much worry, and a little space to make things that I enjoy, and perhaps others might enjoy too… I clasp my hands tight in prayer before I go to bed. I repeat my little dream like a mantra, I give huge thanks…
Today, I am sending all the fairies in my neck of the woods your way… Let me know if they arrive 😉
🖤 , V
ps: So, if you read a few paragraphs above, I eluded to Misters Lovee's fire incident (it happened last year). Can I just tell you what he did? Please don't tell him I am outing him here like this. So, there he is making a simple dish called, Oatmeal a la fireball. I am sitting at the computer, where I can see into the kitchen. All of a sudden, I notice the entire back of his robe is bright orange with a blue glow over the top, and flames around his neck. And I scream, LOVEE YOU ARE ON FIRE!! YOU ARE ON FIRE!!! He looks at me, puzzled, wide eyed. Then realizes what I am saying, and rips off his robe. Luckily, it was when he had that long ponytail last year, and so, he just lost a bit off the bottom… He had some threads hanging off the terry cloth robe, that I guess caught on fire, and traveled up the back of his robe, from top to bottom. I guess Ralph Lauren doesn't believe in fire resistant night garb?
Anyhow, do you concur, Mister Lovee will be the death of me via heart stopping freak out? 😉
Please tell me your plus one gives you scares too? Poor Mister Lovee, he isn't that bad. 3 stresses a year is okay. But only three 😉
pss: Did you watch Marley and Me? Oh goodness, I cried so hard last night, my heart felt like it was cracking. Off I go to hug my pooch til she begs me to leave her alone.
Although, the good thing about her, she just can't get enough…
psss: To answer the question on where to find this book: I am told you can find it in nice hotels around Arizona 🙂

Congratulations!!!! The book looks beautiful and you truly deserve the recognition!
Chair accidents and fire?
I’m scared.
What a perfectly WONDERFUL article! It looks so spiffy and polished. Many many congratulations!
…have you thought about getting your fella one of those bubbles to live in that John Travolta had in that movie a long time ago? I understand one is very safe inside them.
I BELIEVE in fairies miss V! Yay for your work being published in that book…that is wonderful! Mmm, guess I’ll have to visit Arizona and stay at a nice hotel so I can snag me a copy, tee hee 😉 I didn’t see Marley & Me but I ready the book a while back and cried like a baby. Definitely NOT good beach read…unless you want everyone staring at you like you are crazy, hehe. I can’t wait to get the postcards I ordered of you cutie pie pooch (I’ll give them big hugs & maybe she’ll feel the love from the east coast). And I’ll be waiting on those fairies too…I think I could use them this week.
Jamie 🙂
ps. can you inform Mr. Lovee that he should stop trying to kill himself, it’s just not polite to do that to you so often.
Oh, congratulations over and over again! How perfect for your little creatures to have such a fine little place in a lovely book! (I’m thinking trip to Arizona hotel to…ahem…borrow my own copy 😉
Yes, marley and me. I cried and cried. My mister other, who pretends to be all tough and stuff about pets, has never actually owned a pet long enough to have it live it’s whole life… We’ve got two cats and a dog, and I’m thinking I’m going to have to be the tough one when the time comes (which HOPEFULLY is in the land of far far away!) I, on the other hand, had my little lucky dog put to sleep while I slept one night when I was in junior high. He paced outside my door wanting to say goodbye, but my parents thought it would be better if I kept on sleeping. I cried the whole day at school (and got made fun of mercilessly by my friends) I remember asking for a sign that he would be okay wherever he way. And it snowed and snowed and school was canceled for the first time I ever remember. Pretty magical, right?
V~
Yipppppppeeeeeeeee Congratulations to you!!! You deserve all the recognition and admiration you get. Your Art is lovely beyond words!!
And yes…I do believe in fairies. They are out there somewhere watching over me 🙂
I haven’t yet seen Marley and Me. I need a whole day of movie watching and jellybean eating. There are so many I would like to see, some of which you have recently recommended. I have been itching to watch Little Women for it has been too long since I watched it last.
Have a l-o-v-e-l-y week Miss V!!!! Congrats to you again.
Kylee
aaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!
oh my goodness this all so very exciting!!!!
I can barely contain myself!
big hugs and cheers!

HOLY ETHEREAL DOLL NYMPHS, FAUN BOY!!!!
Vanessa grows FAMOUSER and FAMOUSER!
Couldnt happen to a kinder, more compassionate, more deserving, more inspiring Queen Fairy of the Tales!
They picked you you you to be the representative of Arizona’s best of the best where ALOT of the best are, and you are the best! Wowie wow!
(We fanciful follower twinklestars have known it all along!)
Garden gnome, my foot. You ARE the magic!!! Keep believing! Keep creating!
In all seriousness, roll in the dirt, girl. You deserve it and then some!
(squealing excitedly, as giddy as if i were there, which i am in spirit,)
xoxoxoxo rooooooo
congratulations on the book! it’s beautiful. your pictures are always so luminous!
you are such an inspiration. if ever i feel blue, i just read a posting here and i feel immediately better and most definately inspired.
you know, i found your blog by searching Tolteca Tlacuilo in Tucson on Flickr. i worked for eddie gallego there from 1994-1996. i loved it sooooo much and i miss tucson more and more every day.
Congratulations on your photos in the AZ Travel book. That’s great news! I would be overly excited, too!!
Mr. Lovee certainly doesn’t need any more accidents – car, fire, or other. Too scary!
Congratulations!!!! I love to read your blog and to peek at all your amazing creations. I’m so happy for you! You inspire all of us.
Wow! Congrats on your article!! I totally believe in fairies – I love them. I also watched Marley and Me the other night and had to jump up and turn off the dvd when it became obvious he was going to die. I can’t bear to watch things like that!! My own puppy got lots of extra love and treats that night, too. 😉
Oh beloved little New Age Hippie, I am ever so thrilled for you. But not surprised. Even bigger successes are coming for you. You are one talented little gypsy. I am sorry to be so shallow, yet your story of Mr. Lovee setting himself on fire left me with one question…was he naked under the robe? **blows kisses** Deborah
Yeah !! Guest Book Arizona !!!! Your little darlings looked darling on the page. And so you’ll spread even more MAGIC as it is seen by more and more —believers and non-believers. Congratulations.
Cyth
I do believe in fairies, i do. i do…
A big, huge congratulations on your sweet art being published V! It couldn’t happen to a sweeter girl. So how many gray hairs has Mr. Lovee given you by now? 😉
Have a magical day,
Tracy M.
See, Miss V? I am telling you again… “the doors of opportunity are opening around us all the time…we have to have the vision to see what it on the other side and the courage to walk through…you never know what other opportunities for greatness are waiting on the other side”… a W.O.W. from me to you! I am not surprised in the least…now what hotel in Tucson do I need to stay in to get my hands on one of those?
Your poochie-poochie-poo is so marvelous when she smiles! The Easter Bunny just bought Marley & Me for the basket…shhh…don’t tell my wee ones (who are not nearly so wee anymore but yet still play up the EB myth!)
I had great blessings bestowed on me last night as well (go see my blog sista!). You just never know what your “something good” is going to be!
Love you oodles Miss V!
Enjoy the day!
Erin
1. congrats…makes sense for you to be in that book cause you are fantabulous.
2. fairies have been corresponding with my little girls via notes, and little gifts left on the window in front of our garden.(note to self…must post about this)
3. my hubby is a manual arts teacher so i worry every day that he will come home minus some part of his anatomy!
4. laugh in the face of those non-believers for he who laughs last laughs the loudest!!!!
%*_*%rosey
P.S.
I had a very realistic dream last night that I was coming to visit you (don’t worry, no stalker tendencies here). I had a note with “Arizona” on it, I was thinking I’d meet you and your Mr with the curly hair and maybe we’d do crafty stuff together. And we would, but first we were going to watch tv.
And I thought about your dog and worried I’d get allergic but reminded myself that Arizona is warm and you could keep the doors open.
😀
Not that exciting but hey, for once I had a good time while sleeping 🙂
Wow!!!!!! I do believe in Fairies..i do believe in Fairies…Vanessa those pictures look amazing in the Arizona book. It is well deserved! And thank God Mr. Lovee is doing well.
OXOX
anji
I do believe in fairies I do I do!
That first photo is just wonderful.
Congrats on being published in those books!
I’ll have to sneak into a hotel and get a peak at one (for I live in the Phoenix area)
Oh! That’s very scary, what happened to Mr. Lovee. I know, I caught my hair on fire boiling bratwurst. Pilot lights on gas stoves are quite dangerous!
Glad he’s unharmed :]
Again, you have the most enchanting blog. I love it <3
Yea!!!!!!!! That’s just wonderful and what a beautiful page too. Good going girlfriend! Hugs!
I believe….I believe….and I am SO proud of you, kindred spirit! I was so excited I called my hubby to see your post! What wonderful news and happy times! You have so much understanding for someone so young! I always want to write down your quotes in my journal! And I love all your new creations and noticed they FLEW out of Etsy! I know there will be many happy people with magic coming there way! Keep believing and good things will continue to come your way…I count my blessings every day, too!
You never cease to amaze me Miss V…I am so stoked you made it into the Scottsdale hotel book! I will have to get a hotel room in town just to get the book your lil lovelies are in :0)
Thanx for the reminder to not let life get us down…how did you know I (we) needed that?!?
Keep a close eye on the Mister…he has some scary life altering events happening…you are his saviour…his angel…keep up the good work!!!
Enjoying your glory,
Rowan Willow (alter/ artist ego)
aka Tiffany :0)
What a beautiful spread Miss Vanessa, and you are a sweet worthy recipient of all the fairy dust in your life. 🙂
Take care,
Martha
I Believe in faeries! I Believe in Faeries! I Do beLieVE!!! ANd I’d say that Mister Lovee needs them about to protect himself from him! What a character he must be with all his “antics oblivion” :).
When hubby and I went on our third date he accidentally kicked me in the head…it was then I new we would wed.
Congratulations on your new publications! I’ll have to ask me sis to stop in and “borrow” a copy for me from her local hotel, and yes, there are a few nice hotels in Yuma…even if it is an armpit on the face of that beautiful state…oops! I didn’t mean for that to slip out, but I’m sure you’ve passed through a time or two and understand perfectly what I meant :).
have fun rolling in the dirt!!!
xoxo Cori
I will be in Phoenix in October this year so you can bet one of these will make it’s way into my pink suitcase *giggle*
I am tiptoeing off to bed saying…”I believe, I believe, I believe….”
Love,
LuLu~*xoxo
Congratulations…I am so happy for you. I think you are to at least 12 minutes *smile*
It seems that one cannot pick up a magazine without coming across your wonderful art.
Not complaining…celebrating you wonderful success.
I was trying to figure out where to go for my US vacation…well this clinches it…Arizona is now a must…do you think Motel 8 will have these books? …just kidding.
I am so proud of you…and yes I believe in Faeries.
It sounds like it is quite a large job to keep Mr. Lovee alive 🙂 I know you are up to the task and that he is well worth your effort. xoxo
I do believe, I do believe, I do believe in fairies!! Please send one this way asap, it has been one very fairyless week & I don’t think I can bare it through the weekend w/o one! …Congratulations! Now people on vacation can steal you 😉
btw, my mom has a fire story similar to your + 1’s. She was wearing a kimono robe with the huge sleeves & turned on the gas stove to make a pot of tea. Well she must have gotten too close because next thing you know she thinks she’s having a hot flash (hahah) but then looks down & sees her robe in flames (not so much hahaha as ahhhhh). She goes running around the kitchen screaming about being on fire & lost most of her robe, a touch of hair & singed some arm hair before it occurred to her to turn on the water faucet :)..thee end!
Happy, Happy! It is truly wonderful when you listen to your dreams and they pay off. Congratulations. I will be looking for the faeries and give them a treat for them. They are always welcome in my place.
Oh, Congratulations, Vanessa!!! You must be thrilled to the point of bursting!
That is the most delightful “brag” post I’ve ever read and I loved every bit of it! It is definately something to toot your horn about and be very proud of! 🙂
Congrats! Ya deserve nothing but the best! Wishing ya further Fairy visits of beauty coming ya way. Please let Mr. Lovee we are sending PROTECTIVE FAIRIES his way! To keep him outta trouble. lol
Hope ya day is beautiful.
Big Hugs~
Oh my goodness! So happy for you! Think of all the people who will be stealing the book now just to have YOUR art! hehe
Glad to hear Mr. Lovee is okay after the fire incident last year. It reminds me of DH’s wish to drive a metal pole into the ground so DD can ‘tee off’ and practice for softball. Needless to say, it missed the ground and hit his leg. Yeah. Not pretty.
That’s so exciting Vanessa! Those fairies have been looking after you alright. (And Mr L.!) That book looks gorgeous-it made me laugh the way they refer to you as Valencia-so official sounding! Well done to you! I was excited to see Mr Wolf standing there too-I will show him later!
Mr Lovee is a bit of a danger zone isn’t he? Andy, my other half is not too bad though he has his moments. The worst thing he did was this-we live in a downstairs flat and when it is dark you can sometimes see into upstair’s windows. We had been having a last look in the garden(it was summer) and our neighbour lady suddenly went into her bathroom and was in full and naked view against the frosted window. I did what sensible people do and crept quickly down the steps. Andy did what silly people do and leapt off the edge of our decking (about a five foot drop) and caught his chin on the metal top of a chair, cutting a perfect circle. If he had caught himself in the neck I dread to think what would have happened. It makes a funny story now and I am so happy it turned out that way!
Oh what a long comment!
Have a great weekend with your fairies, Mr L. and your lovely pooch!
Sarah x
CONGRATULATIONS!!! I love the photo of your pooch rolling around in the dirt in your honor!!!!
Yaaaaay! Vanessa! We’re rolling around in dirt for you!!!
Love,
Tecu’Mish and Stel
Hi Vanessa ~ Popping in to say hello & wish you a great weekend!
I have a lil’ something for ya at my blog! ‘-)
SpOOky Best,
Chris (-:
I do indeed believe in fairies!! HUGE congratulations on the article – well deserved recognition for you and your magical creations!!
I am giggling here at “Oatmeal ala Fireball”….I remember many years ago my husband making “Chicken ala Fireball” – a dish involving too much lighter fluid on the charcoal grill, resulting in the singeing of his then very long and curly, Cat Stevens like locks (and eyebrows too as I remember)….
Methinks some men are born without the self preservation gene. 😉
Marley and Me is on both my “to be read” and “to be seen” lists, in that order – can’t wait!
Congrats again – always sooooooooooo wonderful to see fellow artists and lovers of magic receive recognition. The world could do with more of that sort of thing. 🙂
~ Carolee
Hello dear Vanessa, it has been so long I’d forgotten how lovely your little faces are and how they make me smile. Congratulations on the book, it couldn’t happen to a sweeter person! The pictures are squeal-with-delight lovely, I hope they make random travelers want to make things 🙂 I’m glad your mister is feeling better, but do keep an I on him, he seems a bit disaster prone and we can’t have him frightening you out of your wits again 😉 I’m going to go outside now (we finally have nice weather here in Germany!) and roll in the grass for you 🙂
Tatjana
CON-GRA-CHU-LAAAAAAAATIONS!! Lookie, there at all your sweet little creations peeping out from that gorgeous book, just cheering you on! You are a celebrity…. And to think- we “knew you when.”
I think some lovely cupcakes sporting swirly pink icing and sprinkles served with sparkly, popping pink champagne are the order for the day.
Celebrate!!! Big hugs from Kathy in Chicago
I BELIEVE! I BELIEVE! =)
Ahh, reading your blog is such a joyful experience! Congratulations on finding all your beautiful babies in a lovely photo in a BOOK! I’m so happy for you!!
And no, I haven’t watched Marley and Me yet, but I want to. I love the last picture of your pooch – she looks like she is smiling!
Hugs to you – take care of that Mr. Lovee! =)
Donna P.
I do believe in faeries!! I do, I do!!
🙂
In fact, I hear them calling out to each other often, far off in the woods here!! It’s ever so haunting!!
And!! CONGRATS!! AND CUPCAKES TO YOU!! What a lovely feature of your LOVELY work!! Arizona is lucky to have magical, whimsical, fanciful creatures like you inhabiting their realm!! 🙂
I’m so proud and happy for you!! 🙂
Magical!
Congratulations!!!
Do I believe? I am one (truly ;o)
xx
Sumea
congratulations!!!!! Isn’t this a wonderful surprise and that this blog world leads to sooooooo many wonderful, exciting opportunities…
oh yes, I believe…
x..x
steph
Well well!! Congrats on the lovely feature! I think plus ones are meant to give us a scare AT LEAST 3 times a year! As for the dog…I never thought that I would kiss a doggie on the mouth, but I sure give Miss Molly plenty of kisses! Love your writing as usual!
First of all, congratulations on your visiting fairies! I truly believe that your positive attitude (and most likely those nightly prayers) have opened amazing doors for you. You are truly deserving!
Secondly, let me say “thank you”. Do you have any idea how uplifting your posts are for other artists? I struggle daily to stay positive. I still have folks in my life who don’t believe in what I do and belittle the artist in me. Having this blogging community is medicine.
Your “stick-to-it” attitude and cheerful, intriguing personality is a bright spot for many artists, including me.
I so wish I were on my way to a nice hotel in Arizona, but alas ~ I have no travel plans in the near future. I have been in and about Arizona many times and I absolutely love it. I actually use lots of Arizona references in my art.
Congrats and thanks:
Kim
Garden Painter Art
Hooray! More spreading the news about your gorgeous art and beautiful Arizona! Bravo, dearest V. And yes, we must always believe in magic – faires and otherwise – and in ourselves! As for ML, he doesn’t do anything by halves, does he??!! 🙂 xoxox
wowowowowowow how exciting for you.
The pictures look very beautiful.
PS- my mom did the same thing with her robe once, but she sneakily threw all the evidence away so no one (her hubby) would be the wiser.
Wonderful! Wonderful! I am so thrilled more people will get to enjoy your loveliness! And the Mr. Lovee! Yikes! He has got to be done now!
Congrats Miss V! Your famous girlfriend!! Woweeeeeeee!! I can now say i personally know a celebrity crafter!! or arteest!
I love the smile on your pooch…she’s a sweetie pie like you! Hope Mr. L is feeling better!
YOur dolls are so wonderful and creative and each have their own personality..so cute!
First of all, Miss V you are a bad girl! (heheheheheeeeee stealing, oh I mean “borrowing” those books) and second of all, you’re going to have to just tie Mr. Lovee to a chair and make him stay there for his own safety! (But you’ll have to feed him so he doesn’t starve of course) hehee, and third of all, Woot! Congrats on your pics being in there, that’s super duper exciting!! And your sweet little doggie, she is just so cute!!
Stay out of trouble, Miss V.
*wink*
~Krista
CONGRATULATIONS Miss Vanessa!! Personally, I think the more people who get to see your work, the better! It’s so magical and it truly does change the people it touches. As someone who is lucky enough to own several of your dolls, I can attest that they not only belong in books, but in museums and galleries as well! They are some of the most special things I own.
Mr. Lovee…sigh. Tell him they’re casting for the new 3 Stooges movie…he may be just what they’re looking for! AND! He does his own stunts! 😉
Wow, Missy Vee… You be PUBLISHED! And you didn’t have to beg somebody for it. Congratulations.
OK, now I’m laughing… You’re Mr Lovee is SO High Maintenance. Just keeping him alive is a full time job. You could wrap him up in layers of bubble wrap and stick him in a corner maybe. I hear you can get the jumbo rolls at Staples real cheap. 😉
Give that Baby a sloppy kiss right between her beautiful browns for me. (That’s my dog-kissy fetish – that spot between the eyes.)
xoxo,
Kate
I do believe in fairies! I do!! I do!!! And in you – those of us who follow your blog have seen your creations, your photos, your whimsey, and felt the laughter. I’m not a bit surprised to hear that you are now famous!! Whoohoo! You are the bestest.
And I must tell you that my insides now hurt really, really bad from laughing so hard at the oatmeal a al fireball story, but seriously – Mr. Lovee is going to be the death of you from heart failure if he doesn’t quit pulling these little stunts! He needs to be padded and insulated and kept in a very, very safe place. Happy
Congrats oh talented one…we never have doubted you. Ever!
Mr.Lovee needs to chill out, stop burning and falling and just look after himself. Don’t give V a heart stopping freak out all the time Lovee!!!
Marley & Me, well, I took two eight year olds and a four year old, all four of us blubbering away like fools.
We weren’t the only ones.
Great film.
Dogs rule.
Do little dog dolls! Yes!!!!
xoxo
Congratulations Vanessa. I am not surprised, you are such a talented lady. Arizona is proud to know you and so am I.
Blessings, Karen
P.S. I do hope Mr. Lovee is on the mend.
Congratulations Miss Vanessa!!! I am sooo HAPPY for you!!! You sooooo deserve this!!!
Hugs!
Michelle
Ooooh gorgeous! How wonderful! I want a copy! I am moving to Arizona in a couple of months…I suppose I’ll have to put on my ninja fairy outfit and sneak into hotels at night until I find a copy for myself…
Oh my! Congratulations…and how lovely indeed…
congratulations on the magazine spread, no one deserves it more than you.
xoxoxo
Renee
Such a wonderful and amusing post!!! I have an affection for the very nice hotels (and spas) of Arizona, so I will be sure to obtain my own copy of the book!
Wonderful news! Your pictures are always so fabulous!! Fairies and gnomes and sprites..oh my!! How can one not know they are there. Such busy little ones they are. Flitting all around and whispering magical stories into our heads. Yes they are wonders!! Oh to hold one in my hand..how delightful that would be!
I am so glad they and you, are looking out for your Mister! What a trip he takes you on.
Hugging you
SueAnn
Congrats on your feature! Woo Hoo!
My Plus 1 gives me heart attacks too. Not long ago he was in the garage working on his truck rather then the FJ. Luckily I decided to go to the kitchen, from being in my studio for a while. I heard loud yelling. I opened the garage door and I saw his hand locked under the hood of the truck. I went to pull the latch from inside and couldn’t find it. All he kept saying (among some other choice words) was it’s in the same place as yours. We drive toyotas. Well it wasn’t in the same place. But I did find it and he was just fine. We live pretty much in the boonies and our closest neighbor was away, so no one would have heard him. I have been very close to getting baby monitors so that when he’s in the garage (a lot) I know he’s ok. Until then, I go out about once an hour to check on him…LOL
Your photos are always awesome, so I’m not surprised! I think I’ve said before you should publish a book similar to your blog posts — I’d buy it!
And I’m a bit scared of dogs, but that photo of your dog changes my mind!
Yes, congratulations. My plus one are two dogs, and they scare me on a regular basis (too close to the road, won’t come when called, etc.). I’ll not forget my trip 30+ years ago to Tucson (my bro and sis-in-law were living there), the distances we drove, the time we spent in Mt. Lemmon, etc. Never forget the smell of a rainstorm in the desert, and watching the lightning strike in the mts.
WoW!!!!! How exciting Vanessa…for you….and me! I get to share in your joy as I see the wonderful bird lady that you created is featured so elegantly! When she arrived in my home, I knew she was extra special!!! I love this magnificant, special connection that I now have with you, and every guest who sees the beauty of your work in that book!
