It's getting mighty sparkly out there in the world, in the midst of holiday week madness, don'tcha think? I love it, the chaos. I mean, if you take a deep breath and say "c'est la vie," then it's kinda fun…?
I have been to the post once, and on my way back for one more "oodles of parcels" shipment. Although, I am shipping every 24 hours or less, up until the 22nd (per my shop).
I am the gal in the post office that everyone dislikes (too many packages & holds up the line). I can literally feel the eyeballs on me. So, I just smile and make sure to be super organized, so I just get there and Jason slaps a price on everything, rings me up, and off I go.
Which is what I am about to do in 3 minutes.
So, here's the deal.
When I get back, it's party time.

ps: I do a lot of my shipping from home too, but sometimes, I love visiting our little post office, which is tiny and usually not that busy ;)

You should invest in a shipping scale my dear. I did and well now I’m the one the patrons of the post office hate, this time of year, because I skip the line and drop off my already-paid-for-shipping-labels-printed-and-slapped-on-at-home packages… if looks could kill! LOL
I find myself apologizing to the poor people stuck in the line that extends out the door!

Happy Holidays to you! I know what you mean about the Post Office! I’ve started printing labels online so I can just drop them in the box. 🙂
Now whenever I have to wait in line and someone in front of me is mailing bags of items I just decide they must have an Etsy shop and imagine what kinds of things they must sell. 😉

I found a little out of the way postoffice near my home (its in Tennessee and I’m in GA) but its never crowded. The other day I went in and there were 4 people ahead of me, the longest line I’ve ever seen in there. I was glad I was last cause I had a couple pkgs to mail and needs stamps (I love the new evergreen stamps)
My postman was good to me today, brought cards and a gift from my secret Santa. So I have scrapbbooking goodies to play with and a new cookbook. When there is time.
Party yea. Yes tis been sparkly here too, my Christmas cards have left a bit of glitter everywhere.
I have goodies for the party. I’ve been baking today, made a cream cheese pound cake for a friend at work (she LOVES it) and she’s bringing me a dish of her dip that I can bake on Christmas eve. Cool idea, huh. I have Scottish Shortbread cookies and Chocolate chip cookies. We just have to save some for my co-workers tomorrow.
Want some hot chocolate with whipped cream?
I love this time of year. Even if I don’t finish everything I thought I should do. I just scratch that thing off my list.
