Ladies & Gentleman, we have finally achieved, Canvas!

Oh my goodness, where to begin.  I am sitting in front of this monster, I mean machine… Wondering, how it got to be 11:43 at night on Wednesday?  Seeing as how I unpacked a 50+ lb. creature yesterday, and just got it all set up and working, um, now?  So, I have been at it for 48 hours.

I think I literally lose days, weeks, months, maybe even… Okay Okay, I know, melodrama, but, it seems like time slips out of my fingers whenever I do something computer related.  The aliens are sucking my life away through the ions. Or, something like that.  Anyhow, enough rambling.  I have NEWS!!!!

What do I mean by all of this nonsense?  Well, not only are the images above available in prints, in the shop.  They are available as canvas prints. As, a matter of fact. All of my prints, (except the predominantly black and white illustrations) will now be printed on archival matte poly/cotton canvas. Isn't that exciting?  I wish you could see them in person.  They are incredible. I can't believe how nice they turn out.  They'd better, with this fancy printer and such… I hope I made a good move.  I am still wide-eyed…

Here are just a few samples of what I printed to see how the printer worked…(click on any image to enlarge) Of course, the pigment on the canvas and the quality, can in no way be captured by my camera….But, I tried…

So, that is where I have disappeared to.  I feel like the worst blog-friend ever.  You won't believe what I did to myself, on top of all of this?  I am throwing Mr. Lovee a birthday party on Saturday.  The house is a disaster.  The studio is beyond a disaster.  My room, don't even ask.  Disaster.  What to do???? Will you all come help me??  I am a really good cook, I'll feed you real well?? I know, you are saying, "Maybe next time…." Okay okay, I won't pressure you too much….

My life is chaos these days.  Mr. Lovee and my dad have the same birthday.  So, I will throw the party on Saturday night. Then, I will get up early on Sunday and drive two hours away, to my parents' house, to celebrate Father's day and my dad's birthday.  YIKES!  Then I have driving school next week.  But Mr. Lovee is "goin' ta Napa" for a jam session in a week.  So, I will be free and wild.  I mean, free and saintly.  😉 (About driving school, yes, I got a ticket. My first one since I was 18, be nice, I am really sad about it, and the cop was mean, he made me cry)

Things that are making me happy!  The ever tricklin' in of treasures from the Trader Joe's Bag, swap:

From Grinnin Lil's, I am so in love with this little guy.  My heart broke and fell in love from the moment I opened the box! Oh, I love him.  He is sitting in the nook of my legs that are crossed, on the chair whilst typing… LOVE HIM! And, I just ate another choco…And, the Vegimite!  Yumm?  hehehe. THANK YOU!!!!

Then, from Miss Shell, of Sacred Heart Arts!  Hi Shell, yes, it finally arrived! Phew. Treasures abound.  I love it all! And, look at that silhouette! Yippee! My walls are going to look extra special!!! xxo

Oh, and I must tell you!  I have a baby!! No silly, not the kind that whines and cries and does other nasty things… The kind that is cute as a button, sits still, and fits in the palm of my hand….. Yep, all the way from the other side of the globe!  Thank you Miss Anastasia, of Anastasia – Drawing & Dreaming!  I love her! I just love her!

  2. sarah says:

The canvas prints look really effective, good thinking Miss V.V.! My house is a tip too as we moved all the furniture and boxes from David’s house this week. Hence I plan to spend all morning on the computer, generally frittering my time away, to avoid unpacking and tidying!
Have a super weekend, sounds like hard work but I’m sure it’ll be a blast!

  3. Felicia says:

    Your canvas prints look terrific!

  4. michelle says:

LOVE the prints! I can hardly click fast enough to go check them out! May have to wait till after the move to get me one though, What a fabulous idea! I received one printed on canvas from Natasha burns and I love it. Things just look even more wonderful on canvas. Okay, this is the worst part of being a blog friend, because I real friend woul hop in her car and of course come help you get ready for your party but I guess I am a little too far away! Good luck, somehow those things always seem to come together!

  5. michelle says:

Oh, I forgot, I love all your treasures, but that silhouette is absolutely to die for!

  6. cruststation says:

Freaky, I sent you that email to Mr Lovee before I read this 🙂
Happy birthday to him and your dad this weekend. So what’s this 50+ lb. creature you’re talking about anyway? They force you to go to driving school for getting a ticket over there?
Great work on the canvas prints, they look almost like originals, I shall go browse your shop in a second, you’ve been busy. Good luck with everything!!

  7. Gillian says:

I was going to call you and see if you were still alive. Good to know you are! I think the prints look FABULOUS! You made a good choice, deary. And I would totally help you, if I were closer, you know that! But I would also totally steal that silhouette piece, so maybe it’s best I stay at home. 😀

  14. Marjorie says:

oooh! Canvas prints! How neat! How wonderful! I am a jealous little printer, indeed! : ) They really look lovely and lush! Le sigh….. : )
Also….how dare that mean old cop make you cry! (coming from the girl who cries at every little thing!)
    Good luck with your parties!
    I’m off to dream about canvas printing…. : )

  15. Gina says:

So much to look at! The prints are in beautiful colors. I bet it feels good to get them out there for everyone to see. The mail treats always amaze me, such kindness and talent out there. Good lucky with taming that monster before it eats you a live. 🙂

  16. Karen Beth says:

You make me laugh! “No silly, not the kind that whines and cries and does other nasty things…” That is something like I might say! 🙂 So… I have to ask… how many prints of each do you have available for purchase? I REALLY am interested in one of the Strange Beautiful Lady. Do you only have one? Please let me know if you can. Good luck on the party preparations. If I were close enough AT ALL, I would come and help you in a heartbeat! Have fun!
    xoxoxo,
    Karen Beth 🙂

  20. Sonya says:

  25. Wende says:

Oh! The canvas is perfect. Big moves are scary—but this seems like a good thing!

  33. cally says:

i just skim read cause i’m SO late leaving the house, but WOOHOOOOOOO, i totally share your excitement. i’ve been wavering about buying a fancy printer for 3 years (but seems silly when my house can’t accomodate it yet) so it’s good to know that these things really look and feel as good as they say on the promo stuff. see, i may not always believe the sales people, but i definitely believe you.
i won’t be on the computer this weekend so a pre-HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Mr Lovee sent all the way from Scotland on the back of a virtual highland cow, with it’s ginger hair blowing in the wind and it’s poo available for your compost requirements :0) xxx

  44. cally says:

Happy Birthday to your dad too. I had missed that part when I wrote my 1st comment. I’m having a mini VV catch-up as we drive to my parents for father’s day too. and for the opening of their garden (in the pouring freezing rain-boo hoo). I’s only a 1hr drive but i do like to grab bits of you when i can – oo-er!
so the mean cop made you cry, what was up with him, wasn’t he wowed into submissive cautioning on account of your good looks, charm and high heels? doesn’t he know you are the darlinj gof the blog world and should be revered and praised, not given a ticket. unless you ran over his foot, that would put someone in a justifiably bad mood, but somehow i don’t imagine that’s what happened.
i’m mightily impressed by your desert drive hairdo fun, i applaud your successful efferts to ward of drive-home-insanity! Especially after all your trauma’s on the way there. trips can be a trail so it’s always good to reward yourself with exessive quantities of good food at the final destination.
we are driving through thick mist. Mr P ws just saying how lovely and quiet the road is. Then I pointed out it’s actually as busy as ever, it’s just that we can’t see in front of us. At that momnet we reached the peak of hte hill and the mist claered for 40 feet in front – there they were, cars and cars and cars. they will all disappear in a second as we go down the other side of the hill, yup, there they go, 7, 5, 2, 1 car in front again.
    ……
2days have passed before i got an internet connection to post this. hope your weekend was peachy.xxx

  45. Ooooh, how exciting! Which printer did you get? I’ve always been fascinated by those things. So cool, and the prints look awesome! ~A 🙂
