Beautiful November.
Brings big rain rainstorms.
Tallest zinnias.
And endless birds and butterflies.
The hummingbirds and butterflies are obsessed with the flower nectar.
The yellow belly finches want the seeds.
The cardinals just turn up from cooler places to see what's going on, snooping around for pumpkin seeds.
And so, the seasons are slowly shifting in these desert lands.
Butterflies make me so happy with their funny faces.
Fluttering to and fro.
I've always felt so attached to them.
Like we're part of the same family.
But maybe it's only because Vanessa means butterfly.
It could be a subconscious thing.
Amazing creatures, don't we all love them so?
There were too many different types to get them all at once.
These few lingered a bit more.
There are these 3 chatty hummingbirds too.
Sooooo difficult to snap a pic of.
I tried though.
Yellow belly finches hang upside down from cosmos flowers.
Their favorite seeds it seems.
Beautiful wonderful November.
A shift in the air but a garden still full.
It could change any day.
So for now, I just enjoy the dream.
Or is it real?
Could be both.
Daydreaming with the butterflies.
That's where I'll be 😉
Hope you are doing wonderfully.
Love, Vanessa

We both have pink, orange and flowers on the mind lately! This is simply lovely and oh, how it makes me smile!
The photos of the cosmos, zinnias, butterflies and birds are quite lovely. I didn’t know that Vanessa means butterflies! Your name truly suits you!
I sure wish we lived where you live! Although, I imagine the bugs are a lot bigger than here in Michigan! 🙂
Waou I love ypur nature pics 🙂
Aw butterflies! I didn’t know Vanessa meant “butterfly”! I bet Rhonda means roly poly, ’cause I’ve eaten waaaaay too much sugary stuff lately — and then made a cake to boot! Only, the cake was dry — rutro – so half of it I made into a poke cake (you know poke some holes in it and then pour in the sweetened condensed milkand then frosted it and added sprinkles and called it done); the other half I crumbled up, stirred in frosting, rolled into balls and froze and then dipped in melted chocolate! I made cake balls! That’s so trendy of me ten years later, haha!
anyway, our weather’s been kinda cool….it’s been very cool in the mornings and late evenings, warmish by mid-morning through mid-afternoon. I snapped a couple pics of butterflies last week, (though yours are beautiful what with the butterfly’s posing and all!) but honestly haven’t seen many lately. They must be at your house! 🙂

Flowers in Novemeber!? Ahhh, you live in Arizona, lol. Sounds like a magical paradise to me. I’m in Canada and have already taken out the fall fleece jackets, and there’s a crunchy leaf carpet across the outdoor world!
Those yellow bellied finches crack me up! Great captures.
Beautiful pictures! The weather in Chicagoland has been great! We’ve had some warm & sunny days. I’ve even been wearing shorts the last few days! My flowers are all still looking good. I know it’s just a matter of time! It will change.
There was just a parade & rally here for the Cubs & the weather couldn’t have been better!
Go cubbies! Congrats! 🙂
It’s been a loooong wait for us Cubs fans! :0)
I love the pictures. The heat and drought finally got to all my zinnias. But my little fighters the petunias are still blooming. It is so dry here I wish we would get days of rain. There are so many wildfires burning in our beautiful mountains. There is so much smoke in Chattanooga now and even out here in the country where I live. Today is the first day it has seemed to be getting in the house.
Love your posts. I needed some pretty flowers today.
Missing my daily dose of Miss Dbl V.Even when u don’t have a new post,I skim your old posts. It just makes me happy!!!We r in Co.,working on our cabin,n have been w/o internet. But,snow is sure to show up soon,n back to E.Tx. we will go!Happy November!Oh,n what was your Halloween feast that was delivered???!!!!Love,Ceci
Enjoying your beautiful garden pictures. I too love most all of the outdoor creatures. The butterflies are my favorites. Thanks for sharing!
Finally getting some cooler weather here in central Texas. Happy Thanksgiving.
Gorgeous captures! I think I will start calling you Butterfly! It certainly fits you perfectly! I couldn’t keep my zinnias alive through the heat this past summer. And, they were just totally being eaten up by I don’t know what! Yours are always so perfect Miss V! Miss Butterfly! 🙂 xoxo
