New Years are the bestest, most wonderful, don'tcha think? I was thinking today, how fun a New Year is. It makes everything seem fresh and new. Invigorates natural adrenaline, bringing us slices of warm fresh baked optimism… Yummy yumm… Like a perfect round felt ball, born at the stroke of midnight on December 31st…
I for one, believe that fresh starts can happen any time. A renewed (& positive) perception is the key to the door of your cozy home in your very own sugar plum forest…
I love simple blissful little days, spent inside a perfect sugar plum house fading from pink to canary yellow… Now if I could only, err, argh, eekkk, squuueeze myself in there… Ouch… hee hee 😉
And so, at the foot of the Sugar Plum Forest, through the Fairytale Forest, past the Magical Cypress Grove and down a pink hidden path in the woods, is where I find myself this New Year's Eve…
A place where you are invited to join in celebrating the New Year with Elfin creatures, faun, birdlings, fairies, and me 😉
We mingle and enjoy some shroom-nog and bliss pie that Miss Dunce-ling Birdie made for us…

Oh, we nibble and munch galore!! Did you get enough to eat?? I sure hope so, because now it is time for dancing as we wait for the midnight hour…

A perfect time of the year to break out of your shell and be free… I love to get crazy and dance alone in my house. It makes me feel so fantastic and is really good for the soul!!

happy 2009! I wish for peace and freedom for everyone in this world! I made that wish long ago in primary school when we had to write a poem/wish for the new year. Mine was picked out along with a few others, and we painted the poems on banners and the were hung at a nearby windmill for a few weeks. But the wish sadly has not come true yet…
My wish for the new year is that the economy will miraculously recover. People will have jobs to help pay for clothes to keep them warm, a roof over their heads to keep them dry and food to keep their tummies full. That we will all have just what we need.

I have so many things that I am desperately wishing to come true for me…but, my true wish is to slow down and stop being so desperate about wishing for things…finding the part in me that can trust that everything that I am wishing for will come to me when and if it is supposed to…and to truly enjoy the moments in between, laughing, living, loving.

My wish for the New Year is to pay closer attention to all the beauty that surrounds us and to allow it to flow through me and into my own art. I want to appreciate the people I care about and love, even more than I already do. I want to learn to be gentle with myself, to stop beating myself up for everything I see as a fault. Oh! and to smile at people I pass just to see if I can get them to smile back… Also! A really big wish that you will have a wonderful, creative and happy year, because you affect so many of us with your blessed little self and we need you to continue to inspire us and give us a little fantasy world to escape to… I adore you!!!

new baby fariy I made for the new year fall a slept and forgot to wake me.I told her I still need to add ears and hands but she still asleep.SO I added the ears so she can hear me now. As for my wish ,that everyone in blogland are friends forever and stay happy .and safe.

Happy New Year sweet Vanessa! You are one crazy fun girl! I love how your mind works. You can weave a story quite well. I believe you should write a childrens book and have your fun creatures as the characters. I know your photography transports me and it certainly would transport children to an amazing fun little world. Think about it.
