I was walking through the garden, when I heard the most curious sound.
Like the musical notes of a fairy size piano.
The sound iridescent bubbles would make if they could sing.
What could it be?
And then, I saw them…
Was it really them?
The magical shoes of deepest fairy tales?
The magic shoes of times long long ago, when medieval kings and queens roamed storybook lands amongst magic and witches and 100 year sleeping spells?
Could it truly be them?
Why yes.
Sitting in their dollhouse attic…
It seems it is them!
For as night approaches they begin to twinkle ever more.
In every color of the rainbow.
Sparkles dancing about.
And so, it has come to be that, the magic shoes are here.
In Fanciful, Arizona.
However…
They are in search of a new home.
New adventures.
New magic.
They have never been worn, sitting in their perfect new box.
With millions of little sparkle rhinestones all over them.
But I did hear a fairy tale princess may have worn them at midnight in dreamlands?
Perhaps, they will fit one of you?
Or maybe, they want to sit on your shelf and bring magic waves your way by night?
Whatever the case may be…
The magic shoes are in need of fresh tales.
Could it be that they belong to you?
These magic shoes will be going to a home chosen at random.
A giveaway, yes yes, it's true.
But I am certain, it won't be so random.

I find it quite likely as I tall as I am that they will not fit me. That said I wouldn’t mind making all my friends try them on like Cinderella. That lady can get a bad rep. sometimes. She only wanted new shoes and a night off. Who doesn’t? ;o) Deborah

I would, depending on fit, wear these to sparkle on New Year’s Eve, or gift them to my mother for Yule, because they are completely her style 🙂 Me and my mother have sizes 39-40 European (which is size 8-9 in US sizes).
What I would prefer though, is that if these shoes are a smaller size (which they probably are) that you give them to someone else even if I’m the lucky winner. Shoes such as these should be sitting on a dancing woman’s feet, not in a dusty cabinet in our little cottage.
How can you bear to part with such magical sparkly broom riders? Oh they are divine. I am in agreement with Ms Misantropia, as I have a size 9 foot. If they are smaller than an 8.5 do not enter me, for they are destined for another princess’ feet! 🙂
Oh my, what worlds you could visit with a pair of magical shoes! Maybe they are like the “Traveling Pants” bringing luck, magick and joy to whomever they visit? Wouldn’t that be neat? 🙂

Really, is there anything a fabulous pair of shoes can’t do?
Maybe, with just the tap of a be-jeweled toe, these will magically whisk me, or whoever wins them, down for a visit with you, Miss V, to see your lovely gardens and all the wonders of Fanciful AZ. : )
If not, at least whoever they choose to go live with will look sparkly and stylish while out for a fancy dinner – or fancy errand-running – whatever makes a person happy, right?
They are divine, and, since I adore shoes, I would be indescribably delighted to win them, but I fear, as I have size 9.5 feet, that these are probably too small for me. If that is the case, I had the same thought as Ms. Misantropia and the other Jenn (Hi, other Jenn-with-two-ns!) – please don’t put my name in the drawing if they’re too small (or too big), because then they belong to someone other than me. Such splendor! If the size prevented me from having twinkle toes, I would dress my Barbie dolls in their finest and slip them into their new sparkly magical “sport cars” as I did when I was a child, and “drive” them toward the light! After all, it’s “top down” weather in southern Arizona!

If the shoes of a million sparkly stars were a size 7 and found their way into my world, I would act on the spirit of Vanessa’s own vision and allow them to take me on a journey of fanciful twists. One year of adventures outside of my box and promising to chronicle my journey of growth in photos and reflection – a journal for myself and to inspire others. How many places could my sparkly shoes go? What will they teach me? Hopefully they would teach me how to fly.

They are truly lovely, and I can feel your magic from here. To wear, would need to be a size 8 1/2 . However…. My girlfriend sisters come in all shapes and sizes. When is grand present they would make as a gift at the girls camp out each Labor Day weekend. Someone will be to going to the ball!

If I win these magical fairy shoes, I will slip them on at midnight and travel the world over, flying in the shoes, as I will be able to fly! As the world turns, I will follow midnight across the globe, never reaching dawn, always traveling with midnight, bestowing dream wishes, with the twinkling, magical shoes, which will scatter fairy dust and moon beams into the sleeping dreamers eyes who are taking their midnight journey’s into Fairy Land. I was sitting here alone as my kidling and hubby are away and decided to check out my favorite blog, A Fanciful Twist! Lo and behold, I got distracted by two of my favorite things, shoes and something sparkly! Can it be such amazing shoes existed? And the Gypsy Queen would have them of course! I will wish on the stars that sparkle that my name will be chosen and they will magically fit me and leave a trail of glitter behind me as I walk! Always thankful for you Vanessa, you never cease to bring up my spirits!
Okay. Let’s be honest. I wouldn’t wear those shoes. However, if they should happen to show up at our house, I would set them outside in the spring next to the little pond I dug. That way any fairy sneaking through would know that they were most welcome to play here. I might even turn them into a couple of fairy houses! That would be so much fun. The frog princes that live in my pond would be so excited to have fairies living nearby. I wonder what flowers would be the most appropriate to plant around fairy shoe houses? I better start investigating right now in case I should have the magic post!
Shimmering bejewelled shoes that light up the darkest of nights. Made for dancing on tip toes and twirling beneath the silvery moon, amongst flowers and foxes and spiffy ballrooms. Oh but to dance while those lights sparkle and prance, on into the night. Feet clad so bright.
I would love to own the magical shoes. I feel that they are oh so inspiring, even if they don’t fit, they really don’t need to fit on my feet. In my mind one size fits all. With all the magical colors I believe that they will show you the future, of the many ideas ahead of ones self. Oh please , please be mine.

I would wear my magic shoes together with my favourite dresses and sparkling magical jewelry as often as I could. Or maybe they would sit on a shelf where I could see them, filled with beautiful crystals and gemstones. Or maybe, if they should fit her, I would give them to my sister, who could need a bit of magic in her life now and then 🙂

Oh, I do believe those are my magic shoes of courage! I have been searching for them everywhere! When you where the shoes, you can face any feat without fear, and conquer the quest with strength and honor. The magic shoes of courage also allow you to live with courage- courage comes from the French word for heart ‘le cour’ and means to live with integrity from your heart, no matter what. So, when painting, rescuing little fuzzies, singing, or anything, you must be true- and these shoes keep you grounded in that special magic.

These would make lovely faery shoes. Size doesn’t really matter since if they didn’t fit me, I know ever so many other faeries that would simply SQUEEEEE with happiness at the thought of wearing these to the next faery ball. 🙂
Oh I’m sure those magical shoes were meant to be with me—like moths among the whisperings. You see, I’ve already worn them in a dream. They leave a trail of glitter wherever you go. But I must not keep them oh no… they hold a special magic destined for someone else. Where I come from we chose to walk barefooted; in the wisp of wings we walk.

If I had a pair of magic shoes I would have them wisk me away to different times and places. I would visit times forgotten and make new friends where ever the magic shoes took me. There sparkle would enchant anyone who saw them 🙂
