Heloo heloooooo! I wanted to first and foremostly, say thank you to everyone who was a part of our 3rd annual Halloween bash! Heartfelt thanks to fellow partiers, guests, and everyone who peeked in! That also includes silent guests 😉
I am a firm believer that one of the greatest gifts of life, is that we get to actually enjoy our childhood, once we are all growed up.
I think it is easier for me to appreciate my childhood now, because I don't take myself as seriously, and I don't fuss about what anyone thinks about my lifestyle. Do you feel the same way?
I could never understand who it was that made us think that we couldn't be ourselves, and be young and free forever?
We can.
We do have that choice.
We might not have control over the numbers and the years, but we do have control over our minds.
All we have to do is, believe…
But then again, I know you already know that 😉
I say we should always try to believe in ourselves, in our dreams, and in our thoughts.
We should all feel happy for each other, and nurture each other…
Which I do think happens when we gather for this sort of fun, don't you?

I must admit that I did NOT think I would see you here so soon after what I bet was a most exhausting frenzy of Halloween party preparation! I was visiting my sweet mother out of town on party day, and I brought her and my son into the room with the computer and proceeded to treat them to your gorgeous pictures and tale. I read your story out loud to them, and later my mother said that she enjoyed having me read the story in my “expressive” voice. But of course! Could a fanciful Vanessa tale be read any other way?

I so agree with you-seems like the older I get the more I realize its okay to just be ME and to let other people be who they are. I have such a live and let live view of the world. Seems like so many problems could be solved if we all just supported one another and don’t expect everyone to fit into “our” molds.

It is funny because today I was showing Moochoo a photo of me aged 19 and another one of me aged 4 and I told him I could identify more to the little girl than to the young woman ( am turning 39 soon Eeeeeeeek!).
The good thing about adulthood though, is that if I want something, I don’t need to ask to my mama!!!! Weepeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Thank you for a lovely halloween party! I’ve been away today watching a lovely play! Yes, a play! Beauty and the beast!! performed by one of our 3 local high schools. The students were brilliant! We had a splendid time!
