Tea in the Spring Garden 🖤

When spring bursts into my garden I like to make sure to enjoy it.

Take some time and really be present in the loveliness of it all.

What better way to enjoy the garden than with a tiny tea party?

Tea garden 3

It's so easy to let spring pass you by.

It all happens so quickly and changes minute to minute.

So, I had to simply enforce a tea party today.

Tea party, no option.

How's that for rules? 🙂

Tea garden 4

It's been windy, with bits of blooms and petals flying around everywhere.

Tea garden 1

This morning I decided that I would extra enjoy the rose arbor for afternoon tea.

Tea garden 2

I picked roses and did some garden chores.

Then I chose some pretties, placed them on a tray and out I went.

Tea garden 8

I find putting pretty things together and taking photos to be so inspiring.

One inspiration leads to another.

Tea garden 14

I picked fresh chamomile for tea.

And let the wind toss wisteria petals about.

Tea garden 13

Those first roses of spring sure do make me happy.

Tea garden 9

The colors and feelings the spring garden ignites are so sooooo exciting.

Tea garden 7

Just being in the moment.

Tea garden 16

Candles dripping in the wind.

Tea garden 10

Picking ranunculus and matthiolas.

Tea garden 15

Happy as can be, under my rose arbor.

If you stand right in the middle it almost gives you a hug.

It's ever so full and happy these days.

Tea garden 17

These colors are so truly joyful aren't they?

Tea garden 18

Spring in full effect.

Tea garden 5

Tossed about, infusing the soul.

Inspiring the mind.

New and fresh and pretty nature.

Tea garden 23

Such a lovely place to be today.

I enjoyed it immensely.

I feel true love for my garden.

So glad I worked so hard on it for so many years, the pay off is really something.

There are days you have to say to yourself, it's time to have some fun.

Cart some tea things outside and make it happen.

Then you're so happy you did.

Swooningly happy.

Sometimes, you have to be a part of making the magic you want to experience.

Creating it, planting it, watering it, and then the part so easily forgotten.

Enjoying it.

Appreciating it.

Tea parties included 😉

Hope spring finds you extra well and lovely as can be.

I am busy as a bee gallivanting to and fro, jumping, hiking, visiting.

I've really been going going going a lot lately.

With visits and friends and family.

My days are gone in less than a snap, it's crazy.

What's happening out there in your woods?

Happiest spring wishes to you!

Love, Vanessa

Sparkly heart

Oh my gosh! That was a fantastically colorful post!!!
So very pretty! I’ll bet some of those photos would make very nice postcards! Hint, hint! :0)
I would love to be at that tea party!
Looking back at the photos I think they ALL would make wonderful postcards!

  2. Spring hasn’t been quite as welcoming up here in Michigan. I did take a picture just today of our only daffodil that’s open. The bright yellow made me quite happy. But not near as happy as your tea party! 🙂

  3. Your garden and tea parties really are magical!

You always have the loveliest china patterns, so feminine and delicate. Drinking tea out of those porcelain cups would be a special treat and especially sitting near those roses. Do they have a strong scent? I know that sounds funny but my Don Juan bush is such a young thing and only blooms rarely, since it’s still establishing itself, that I don’t get to experience the flowers very often.
I’ve been socializing like crazy and having fun. I’ve loads of costuming opportunities in the next few months, but that makes me happy. Overworked at times, but happy nonetheless. So, YAY! 😉 I really need all the happy I can get because my home life and work life are nutso right now. Nothing is going smoothly and it’s upsetting my love for Libra balance. Which is another reason why I love coming here and escaping reality in your beautiful garden. Hahaha!

  7. So very beautiful! When our storms pass I might have to do the same 🙂 Mwah!!

  8. Lori says:

We all need to stop and smell the roses now and then. Happy Spring!

  9. Deborah says:

That is some mighty fine china there! Lovelovelove. And the ranunculus! My Brawny Man and I used to add to our bulbs every year. You have been my Magical Muse for many years now … and as much as I want to create the magic, for I believe exactly as you do, surviving Gary’s death is about all I can accomplish. Well, I do teach every day and love my Kiddos tremendously, but I so wish I had energy left to create. I have not given up, though! Light that perfect pink candle for me tonight and whisper a prayer.

Oh my! That teapot!!!! how fabulous…wherever did you find such a magical thing? We still have snow in Canada….what a treat to see your beautiful spring photos…thank you for sharing the magic!

  18. I adore this post! It is definitely swoon worthy.
Your sparkling, colorful China is so very lovely. It hits the proverbial spot for tea! Or maybe that is ‘spot of tea?’
I will be anticipating going to my ‘fancy’ house and set some tea things and have my own party in town. We are more in the ‘burbs’ in our comfy family house, so I have to do the fancy stuff over at the other house. Maybe next week I will fit it into my schedule…with a note to self ‘Day to Self’ next week!
And, of course, this post reminds me so much of a peek into Wonderland and anticipation of the Mad Tea Party!!!
    =^..^= Can’t wait!
