I cooked so much, and my friend brought some fresh/raw homemade cran-orange relish, homemade lemon meringue pie (with her own lemons) and salad.
There was…
Turkey that fell off the bone, brown sugar candied yams, mashed potatoes, stuffing chock full of delicious veggies, green bean casserole, oven baked croissants, fresh cranberry orange rind relish, herb vinaigrette salad, 5 pies (lemon meringue, traditional pumpkin, pumpkin cheesecake), dessert wine, and so much more I can’t recall now.

Veevala! So glad your fur baby got cuddled and your tummy got full. 🙂 I had a great Turkey Day; I was downtown by 7am for the Thanksgiving Community Event. Busloads from the Homeless Shelter came in – we either fed 800 people or 400 twice 🙂 plus delivered to Hospice <3 it was lovely, on a lake, with music, and the sun sparkling. And they made ME the Dessert Princess!!

I allowed myself to go off my low carb/ no sugar plan for this day…..and I enjoyed every minute of it….well, except for the sluggishness afterwards….haha!

Your turkey looks like a magazine turkey. Do you do all the turkey prep? Ohhhh yuck, yuck, yuck. My husband and daughter do the turkey prep as I can’t stand to look at the thing! Especially the floppity neck skin and the magic bag of gooshy innards! Blech!

your pumpkin bread is sooooo popular with the family. I gave away more loaves on Thanksgiving. I have to bake another batch tomorrow (or Monday).
Thanksgiving was part of my family here. I roasted the turkey and a ham, made enough stuffing for an army, mashed potatoes, green beans and finally found a recipe for cranberry/jello salad that tastes like my moms. I made mac and cheese, too. Family brought sweet potato casserole, potato salad, deviled eggs and rolls. Oh forgot the pumpkin and chocolaste pies I made.
My sis in law and I did shopping today then had them over and my uncle to help eat more leftovers. It was good and I’m still tired.
Every year I say I’m not doing so much cooking next year.

Matty got a penguin, and they both got turkey – and i made the livers and
gizzards for them. And Matty LOVEs toys too, but Miles loves them
more. Miles takes his bag of toys, drags it to the middle of the room, and
takes everything out of it. Matty, just likes to take the toys away from
Miles mostly. But he does sleep with them too. Last night Matty got
the horse 😉
