Can you believe it?
The magic of Christmas has made its way to us.
Another bless-ed year.
Picking garden bits for the celebration.
Beautiful scents.
Greens and reds from nature.
The birds ate all the pyracantha berries but the nandina (heavenly bamboo) has some for us.
Candles on.
Acorns and carnations in tiny glass bottles.
Mantle full and happy.
A lone coral rose popped up just in time.
It's bright and cloudy all at once.
Sun bobbing through clouds sending light streaming through the windows so beautifully.
I find a tattered peach rose.
Perfectly vintage.
I decided to use my miniature lemon tree as my Christmas branch this year.
The gophers ate the roots and it toppled over.
I saved it, and painted it matte gold.
Covering it in dried autumn roses, garden flowers and berries.
I had a longing for something more natural this year.
So, I waited and waited to see what I would do on the tree front.
I always put up a branch with baubles.
Filling my lost lemon tree with dried roses had some kind of hauntingly wonderful beauty to it.
For my heart at least.
A dried rose tree was just the thing this year it seems.
I wish you the most dreamy warm holiday season.
I am quite busy, so many visits and things.
But, I'm enjoying it.
I went on a quick road trip, did some shopping, returned to madness and plunged.
And now here we are.
Christmas eve.
I can't even believe it.
The spirit of Christmas has truly filled my soul.
I'll go to a beautiful mass this evening.
Never forgetting the true meaning.
Then off for merriment a plenty.
I hope you are doing wonderful beyond words.
This year has zipped by at speeds I can't even fathom.
So, I'll take deep breaths and savor these next few days.
Thanks for being out there.
May your dreams escape your wishes, flutter around you and morph into reality.
I have a funny feeling, they will 🖤
Lots of Love,
Vanessa

I tend to keep things simple…MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

On Wishes And Riddles
* * * Querida Vanessa: a ti y a los tuyos una felicÃÂsima Navidad, que pases un alegre Fin de Año lleno de risas y diversión y que en el 2016 tu mundo siga siendo tan mágico, original, simpático y encantador como siempre. * * *
How come I just had to say this in Spanish? Maybe because today I feel like a child. Christmas makes you feel that way, doesn’t it? I was born in South America and as a little girl I soaked up the merry and cheerful way in which Christmas is celebrated under the Caribbean sun. I suppose the happy sound of the wishes that were exchanged way back in my childhood days around this time of year have been deeply engraved in my heart. So here is the answer to the riddle: Sometimes when you say things that come straight from your heart you will use the language that will best convey the feelings attached to it.
And here’s another riddle. What kind of language do plants use? Do they speak to us through form and colour? Do we „hear“ them through our eyes? How does Nature reveal her heart and feelings to us? By way of magic? Unravel the mystery!
Beautiful! Wishing you a Merry Christmas!

Hello, Miss V,
Wishing you belated Holiday wishes, and a Happy News Year! My computer would not let me access the internet at all yesterday. Bummer!
Yes! The new year is here! Where did 2015 go? Down some rabbit hole vortex I imagine. I am sure the memories will surface in our musings as we journey into the next frabulous year! It’s all in the Journey, isn’t it? That phrase is going to follow me into this next year…The Journey…wherever it may lead.
Blessings and peace and safety for this New Year!
XOXO
Miss Teresa
And as always, your photos are glorious!
Have you ever considered publishing a book? Your creativity is so inspiring. I so love your blog and do wish I could get it coming directly into my e-mail as it often gets lost in the daily shuffle, but then I get to glutton out by going back through months of your posts! I just loved your parting words in this post! I hope you don’t mind that I have printed them out so that I can see them every day. 2015 was just a horrible year for a variety of reasons and I am hoping, no, demanding, respect and cherishment (is there such a word?…apparently not) in 2016. Thank you, thank you for your inspiration! And happy new year! I’m going to go cut some snowflakes. There’s a lot of winter left here in Colorado!
