I meant to be here yesterday, alas, photographing littles and stitching up garments is busy bee work…
I got them to stand still for a snapshot, but only for a second…
Cakehead babies have so much to talk about, baking this and baking that.
Then there is Miss Magnolia Francine Littlewood, and the stitching of her tea stained gown…
She has been a dream to spend time with.
From the moment I held her head in my hand, giving her eyes, a nose and a mouth she had all manner of curious tales to tell.
Not to mention, the importance of her golden bee…
She will tell you about her bee friend, if you ask her.
Oh the tales she weaves!
Tales about the golden bee, and ankle long hair, and her best friend Mister Birdling, and the forest, and…
Well, her tales never end, thankfully.
They are charming, and old fashioned, and beautiful and mysterious in their own way.
Her bustle is made out of chicken wire, formed around her body. She is a full doll, with legs too.
I hand made all of her clothes for her, and then chose the sweetest smelling tea to grace the fabric with a lovely stain.
Her hair is very long, one could only dream to have hair that long.
Imagine?
It is made out of all natural fibers.
With a few tiny golden ribbon strands for good measure.
From time to time you will see her scurrying to and fro with her birdling friend.
They host parties in the woods all the time.
3 tier cakes are quite the norm.
In fact, they are hosting a tea party in the garden at midnight tonight.
You are invited to step in, in your dreams.
All you have to do to insure that you arrive is repeat the following as your drift off to sleep…
"Tonight I shall travel to a tea party in the woods."
Then envision the tea party and repeat the phrase over and over.
Just like that, the chances of you being there increase by 75%.
I learned this from a professional teacher on dreams, you see.
Oh wait, me mustn't forget the cakeheads.
Oh no!
They bring such sweetness…
Meet,
Henriette Heirloom Tea Rose Butter Cream Cake…
Yummy.
And her friend,
Madeline Sweet Pistachio Cherry Fairy Cake…
Hellooo Sweet Madeline!
And, Lorelei Sugar Bottoms Lavender Tea Cake…
Sweetie!
And the heartbreaker herself…
Penelope Blueberry Raspberry Ruffled Cream Cake!
Fancy a nibble?
Cakehead love for certain.
They spread it around whenever they visit, I tell ya.
They are so colorful and sparkly in person.
Can you tell in the photos?
Not sure 🙂
Anywhoooo,
They have all been added to my online shop as of now.
(They are all now sold, but more to come soon)
I am crazy behind the scenes with Mad Tea Party tid-bits.
Trying to get everything together just so.
A few more days and I will have it all squared away.
Promise 😉
Love, V

SWEET!!! post! I LOVE all the new faces and their names are DREAMY!!!I LOVE that lil birdie too! I still have my darling glitter bluebird with the songnotes hat!!!
Oh dearest…if I had oodles of dollars I would treat Miss Magnolia and her Cake Head friends to come live with me. They are SO magical, Miss Vanessa!!!! Your attention to details on your dolls are simply fabulous. I know they will all find loving new homes quite soon! xoxo
I love all of the delicious colors you use for your little creations 🙂 It makes them look good enough to eat! They remind me of creations that would be featured in a little gingerbread house, somewhere in the woods…
Keep creating, doll!
So endearing!
Lisa
I love these. I clicked on the link but do not see them in your shop. Are they listed somewhere else? xx
They are so sweet, Vanessa…and they sell quickly! You are so talented my friend!
Missed them all it seems! Ah well. More to come? I can’t wait. They’re lovely. Might there be any elfin friends for Willa popping up in the shop anytime soon…? I’d adore one 🙂
Such BEAUTIFUL creations. I haven’t got a knack for clay. Maybe one day I’ll be able to make something out of it. I can certainly appreciate the creations other folks manage though. Yours especially are stunning.
Oh I will certainly be saying that before I sleep tonight. What a delight to be transported to a midnight tea in the woods!
Sheesh! Vanessa!
Your cupcake girls and dolls must have sold like hot cakes! Oh well, I have a couple of your goodies as it is….I know your creations ‘fly off the shelf’ in your Etsy shop the moment you post them but this time it must have broken a record for how short of a time before they were sold!
‘Good Fortune follows those who are blessed with rare talent’. Oh? Is that an echo I hear of Fortunato speaking? Very wise dog.
Can’t wait for the next mad tea party. And your work is gorgeous. As always. Looking at your blog always feels like a little trip to fairy tale land 🙂
Miss Magnolia’s glorious hair! Oh to have hair as long! Gorgeous.

Oh, my Magical Muse, you go from your near death experience to birthing babes!!! Only you 🖤🖤🖤 I am quite smitten with Miss Magnolia Francine Littlewood and ever so sorry **sniff sniff** that I missed her debut. Oh well, perhaps by the time my mister has my bookshelves built you will have birthed more Lit’l ones.
Ever so excited about your Tea Party. I do hope I have enough time to pull my family of Lit’l Ones together and join you again.
**happy smiles** Deb
