Something magical and lovely to share for today…
New spell and potion labels in my online shop, with an herbal twist!
Details and names of the labels are listed in my shop.
There are 15 in an order, lots of them, so you can quickly have your own little collection.
They are also fun mixed with other spell and potion labels I carry.
They work well on any shape or size of bottle, as you can see below.
I collect assortments of bottles from extracts, oils and more.
I find antique bottles at estate sales sometimes.
I have found some oldies on our property over the years –
Which I always save for labels as such.
You can fill your bottles with real or make believe ingredients, that's the fun of it all.
It's all up to you.
Let's set off for a visit to Isadora Woodhaven and her garden apothecary, shall we?
And see how she uses her labels?
Through the garden of giant morning glory vines…
Trinkets, treasures, herbs and spells!
Come closer, and peek…
Outside of the gypsy wagon we gather.
What sort of concoction do you fancy?
Mmmm, the scent is sublime!
A mixture of herbs and flowers swirl around.
A clustered display makes me extra happy.
Let's see, what do we have here?
Something for anything that ails…
Curious and wonderful, all the same.
And the first pumpkins of the season, snuggled in.
It's sooo much fun to put these together.
It takes you to another place in time almost.
I dare say, I think Isadora Woodhaven even showed up for a good while.
(she might be my conjuring alter ego)
As I collected and filled and played.
It was an enchanting time.
From Garden Angelica…
To Sacred Sage!
Just collect a few bottles…
Pick up some labels…
Peel and stick just like this…
Easy!
And you are well on your way to your own potion and spell apothecary shoppe.
The sun is changing, the breeze whispers the secrets…
Oh, a magical season is on its way!
Morphing and twisting, from summer to autumn.
Just in time to pick a few garden treats to fill your jars with.
Soooo, the new labels are now in my shop.
I must go now, and play in my own apothecary display, it's sooo pretty in person.
I highly recommend you getting into these sorts of shenanigans yourself.
It's a lovely time, I sure enjoyed myself.
I know you will too!
Love, V
ps:
I have also spent some time making and restocking other potion and spell labels I carry.
You can find these in my shop as well.

Hello to you, My Dearest Dear Vanessa!
How I do love your bottle labels!! So very cool! And I really love the flowers and herbs you made into bouquets for your bottles as well! It reminds me of some really adorable and charming bouquets I saw in Belgian beer and lambic bottles that were placed on the tables of a brew pub that Mr. V and I visited last week here in Maine! They had put wild phlox and hops in them that they grew in their hedges in the back of the building and they were just too sweet!
Even though I am not ready for summer to be over, I am always excited thinking about your Halloween party!!
Wishing you a super lovely rest of your week,
Betty
These are gorgeous – your creativity is amazing! (I especially love the address!)
Ohhhh Isadora Woodhaven. I can just picture her now! A sweet lady with spectacles and her hair in a bun, a few bits of grey streaking through her locks. Too lost in her herbs and tinctures, and muttering to herself about concoctions to engage in conversation too long. I love how your creations always inspire characters and tales in my imagination. These are beautiful labels Vanessa!
Oh, the wonder of it all.
If this isn’t the loveliest post…sigh. Thank you for channeling Isadora Woodhaven at Old Cottage at Cemetery Road 😉 where “The scones are always warm, the flowers always fresh and the kettle always on the boil.” I do love your spirit.
Lovely photos!
You always create so much magic! You are a special person! Thank you! You are inspiring!
Vanessa, these photos are just stunning. The way you combined the bottles and labels with the greenery and backgrounds make for such tasty eye candy—I can’t get enough of looking at them! Your witchy creativity never fails to dazzle and delight. 🙂
Helloooooooo Miss Vanessa!
I’ve been away for a while… and have come back to something just lovely! These labels are wonderful! I’ve been told by the missus that I really need to curb my need to collect jars and bottles until we have a house… and a place for me to store them all… ^_~
Maybe she’ll let me keep squirreling jars away if I promise to put nifty labels on them all… ^___^
I hope you and the Mr. and your furs are all doing well! Autumn & Halloween are just around the corner… yay!!!
XOXO
And to think you have thought of more, very lovely apothecary labels! They are divine! I must have some, my dear!
Gosh! And it’s a three day weekend too!
I will sendeth you an email my deareth with the particulars!
Your faithful and loyal apothecary devotee.
Miss Teresa
I’m off to see Isadora Woodhaven in your Etsy shop!
Love the labels. I just bought a Better Homes and Gardens Halloween book with oh so many great ideas. They have links to printables, too.
And I have pumpkins, that I grew 🙂 Thank you for your inspiration. They are little pie pumpkins. I roasted 2 last week and made pumpkin bread and puree 🙂
I agree. A lot of work goes into making these photos and the set-up is beautiful .
Love clusters of old bottles. Your labels are wonderful!
Saving now the tall lemonade bottles with the corks for
something special. You have such fun in your garden, I just
love to see your child’s heart.
Your whimsy always delights me, Miss V! I love the labels and the herbal spin on them.
You’re in the Desert, and I’m in Arkansas, the Natural State, but yet your garden is quite my respite from the heat wave we’re enduring here! Lovely! …. just so lovely and fun!
