Down a little dirt road in the woods, there was a buzz…
Or was it more like wheels and trotting? We couldn’t quite make it out. We had to quietly skip past the bend in the road to get a better look. But, we had to be very quiet because we did not want to scare anyone away…
Oh yes, dear me, it looked like a caravan of sort. I sent a wood sprite to ask the folks where they were headed?
Seems that they were on a serious time crunch to get to some Halloween festivities… I watched them as they drove away, they were all so fascinating. I hoped I would see them again…
The wood sprite flew around me, while whispering something about a memo…
But of course. How silly of me to forget. The party was mere days away 😉
Of course, I didn’t really forget. I have to say, I am in agony over not being able to tell you what I am up to. You, the only few who show any interest in the madness that goes on at "A Fanciful Twist," and I can’t tell you… I wouldn’t want to spoil a thing though.
So, here is the party 411. Lots of information…
On Wednesday evening (Oct. 15th), I will put up the "Halloween Partiers’ List" in my right hand sidebar. It will take the place of my regular blog roll until the day after Halloween. As there is no way you can visit everyone on Saturday. Unless you are a super blogger (with a cape), which I know some of you are 😉
I am putting up the list on Wednesday, because I am sure to have made a couple of human errors. If your link is not on the list, please contact me via e-mail, and I will add it. If there is any other error, e-mail me and I will fix it. If you have decided you do not want to be on the list, e-mail me and I will remove you, I know life gets busy and you may need to change your plans.
Keep in mind that everyone is invited (whether or not they have a blog). So you may be taken to some Flickr Photo pages or an Etsy shop, belonging those people who do not have a blog. We welcome everyone…
If you have a burning question of any sort, please e-mail me. I am catching up on adding links and answering e-mails today and tomorrow.
VanessaValencia@aol.com is my e-mail address.
This is going to be so much fun!! Let’s have a blast!! I can’t wait to see what you are brewing up!
So, I will see you here on Saturday. My party blog post will go live at 12:01 a.m. (Arizona Time) on Saturday October 18th (maybe a tiny bit earlier if I get too sleepy). And it will stay up for a few days.
Also – In the top right hand sidebar of my blog, is my party button. Right now if you click on it, it will take you to the blog post inviting you all to join the party. But, after Friday, that button will link you to the party itself.
Have an awesome party prep week, and I will hope to see you here on Satruday, to partttteee!!
See you very sooooon!! 🖤 🖤, V
ps: The little house Thriftventure name drawn, belongs to comment number 26!! That would be the lovely Cherry’s Jubilee, Yipppeeee for little house love!! Please e-mail me your address so I can ship you your lil’ house!! 😉

Hi Vanessa,
I saw your work in Artful Blogging and was inspired. I’ve linked your site to my blog as I mention you as my inspiration. Stop by my blog when you have a chance
Cathy
Vanessa,
Sounds like you have everything set to go. Wish I could participate but alas I cannot! If I go to your blog can I see what’s happening? Let me know.
Good Day Miss Vanessa,
Kris
I am leaving for three weeks in India on Friday so there is no way I’ll be able to take part.
Marta is busy planning a Haloween party with her friends, I’ll miss that too…….
you are tooooo darn creative!! well, i’m ready…my things are ready i just need pictures..which i will do tomorrow!!! yay!
I am so excited…this will be fun. In meantime I am giving tours of Italy.
I adore the Anthropology Web site…I want one of everything 🙂
I just love your lovely imaginative bloggy piece of heaven! The “path in the woods” is just so cute! And that little wagon-coachie is delicious 🙂 I can’t wait for the party-party to start (but then, I usually can’t wait for Halloowee to start, either!) I don’t have a blog, but look forward to visiting with all your guests! Thank you for dreaming up this marvelous tour of the creative world of bloggers 🙂
Vanessa – I’ve been thinking about the party a lot the last few days, trying to come up with some plan that isn’t just my every day October Post Spooky. This is fun already.
I do have an eensy teensy favor to ask you, or perhaps it’s more of a suggestion. I know that folks have visited my blog for previous blog parties sometimes weeks after the event. It’s really hard to get to everyone right away, especially if there’s a lot of party participants. And I like to stop for a bit and not rush through everyone. Would it be possible for you to leave the participant list/links up longer, at least through Halloween? You could take it off your sidebar and just add it to the end of the party post, that seems the most common plan I’ve seen. And now, back to party planning! (and maybe some dishwashing too – sigh)
My daughters were out last night decorating the house for Halloween. A bit too many spiderwebs for my liking but they think it is awesome. I was quite pleased, because I thought this is just in time for Vanessa’s party. Can’t wait. Karen
Oh I can’t wait! I haven’t even started my preperations! EEEeekk… Anyway,
Congrats to that lucky girl who won that marvelous house!!!
Siempre es todo tan mágico en tu blog, I love it!nos vemos el 18, en tu fiesta!!!count me in!
see you!
hugs
Marina
Just stopping by as I do everyday (I have you linked on my blog for others too). But, today, had to finally post and tell you how very amazing and intoxicating (like being sprinkled with pixie dust!) I find your blog and artwork and most importantly, your imagination – just magic. Love your halloween party preparations and wish I could attend, but just can’t match your fantastical efforts. I’ll probably crash the party a minute but would feel bad to officially participate since I just can’t do what you do in any way! You truly have a gift and I so appreciate that you share it with the world!
marsha
Just coming to get the button! And, darn! I didn’t get the house, but congrats to the winner.
Vanessa – the anticipation is half the fun!!!! A couple of witch friends are getting antsy for the party, one even attacked the candy stash! geesh – no patience what so ever!! If you get a chance, stop by my blog for the newest post, about these 2 witches! scrapbooksandjournals.blogspot.com
Looking forward to the fun and visiting everyone. cherry
Trick or Treat my Dearie!
I’m in, I’m in!
And Love the cute little witchie in her lovely orange party dress!
Sandra Evertson
my girls and i took photos last weekend in preparation but they were during the day cause my camera is not that great at night shots, so our photos are not as spooky as night shots but i think we can pull off something special. have a look at my blog page for a sneak peek… xx rosey
You always put so much work in your lovely posts! I can’t wait to see what fabulous fantasy you show us this time!
What a wonderFULL and magical adventure you take us on. I’m so excited for your party. My sweet mystery guest made it just fine and he has really taken a liking to our dear Ludwig Marquette!
I have party favors ready for EVERY guest who swings by my blog on Saturday. Oh what fun — but I must run, for I have more photos to prep and collages to create!
I’ll see you Saturday my dear!
{soul hugs}
Kathryn
Oh my goodness this all sounds so exciting, although I won’t actually be able to party I’ll be taking time out from “The Orchard” to visit you.
I do so wonder who is in that coach. Life in Arizona sure is like a fairy tale!
Vanessa,
You just can’t wait until Saturday! LOL
~ Gabriela ~
Oh I wish I would have visited sooner! I would have definitely participated. Now, I suppose I’ll have to console myself with visiting. That’s all right, all the fun and now work!
Whee! We are so excited over here. Ruby Roo changed her costume idea last minute, so we will be working to craft a new costume in time for the big event. Good thing this puppy is a maven on the sewing machine, and I can leave her to her own devices.
An old friend of mine came into town yesterday, and we went on a two day thriftventure here! It was way too much fun to pack into two days, and I got some ridiculous stuff, hee hee. Did you know that power thrifting can be tiring? ‘Cuz it can. 😉
I am getting ready and thinking up some new ideas for the party! I can’t wait since we just went to a party last week and got in the mood for ours!!
yippeeee yipppeeee!!
i can hardly wait!!!!!
xoxoxo…jenn
This looks like it will be way too much FUN! I’ll stop by after my vacation to see if there are any cookie crumbs or cider left for me to nibble.
Have a marvelous time, Miss Vee, and party on!

Hello Vanessa,
I cannot wait till Saturday either, hahahaha I will be at a witchcon…well no one has to know that. That’s why I have made my post already! Tomorrow I’ll leave for the weekend. Please can you put up the list of participants until Tuesday or the whole next week? Otherwise I have to bewitch your blog and we don’t want me to do that do we?
Have fun and thank you very very much for hosting this fun event!
I have chosen your blog for the “I love your blog†award. Stop by my blog to claim your prize… it’s really not much of a prize. Just a photo of a rose, but it’s still pretty cool. Congratulations!
