I think they used to carry this magazine sometimes at the local Rite-Aid in the next town over, but I haven’t seen it in a long while. I’d love to be entered to win a copy!!

Howdy! I could use some escape-ism: 2014 thus far: one cat diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and irritable bowel disease=radioactive iodine treatment for first and all but standing on my head trying to get him to eat the new food (which he doesn’t like) for the second; oh-and pilling him 2x a day (ever pilled a cat? They are related to TIGERS-especially at med time!; second cat develops mysterious bump on her head-which, fast forward one week, doubles in size=surgery for its removal and pathology report that is inconclusive, hence more testing. Add to that–all 4 inside cats with three different diets=a 4-ring circus at feeding time to make sure no one is sneaking the other’s food (we won’t even talk about what it takes to prepare food bowls. Add to all this—a sick husband who after two weeks of waiting on hand and foot, recovers and, now that you caught his germs, conveniently has to go out of town-leaving you alone to deal with all of the above AND taking care of yourself despite being sick…and that’s only January and February! Need I beg more?!

What a wonderful magazine … I have never seen it over here in the UK …
Howdy there, Miss Vanessa. I shall live vicariously through you as it is -10 here in my neck of the woods. (PA) Spring seems a tad bit far off at the moment. I shall go to our Lowes store, sit on their new patio furniture, smell the wet dirt from the just watered house plants, close my eyes and pretend I’m sitting in my garden with you. Would you like some tea? With fresh mint? It always helps me when I get impatient for flowers and the smells of spring. After doing so I can then go back home and enjoy what is left of our winter. I do so love ALL the seasons here, but it is nice to escape once in a while. I did notice some of my daffodils are peaking through the snow. Poor babies – I think I need to crochet some colorful scarves for them….that would bring some color to my world. All my lovely flowers wearing scarves, and maybe mittens too, if they had hands. All sticking out of the snow. Can you picture it?

I love your fairy tale eggs. They are gorgeous. All those pictures in that magazine look so inviting, but I really fell in love with that last one. I’d never get any work done in there, I’d just sit back and stair at it’s sweetness. ha.
