I acquired some new friends over the holidays.

My holidays were beyond wonderful.
I traveled, I spent time with special people.
I went places, saw things.
Had a lovely new year.
Dinner & dancing.
Eeek, stepping outside the box.
Kinda like the days before I became a country hermit 🙂
Did you have a nice new year?
My new year emerged like a shooting firework.
It's been go go go non stop.
In fact, my best friend from college is driving in now from the midwest and I am meeting her later.
We'll spend a few days together catching up.
Time is flying by faster than ever.
I need to gasp for air, but I am having a ball so I'll take it.
I can't wait to see what this year brings us all.
It feels like wonderful things are brewing.

My husband bought me a cute mouse from a woman that owns a florist shop in Florida. I discovered him under a pile of papers on the counter & was smitten! It was the first one she made & she was reluctant to sell it. I left the store before him & she ended up selling it to him along with something else for me. I was pouting about not being able to buy him even after we got home. Boy was I surprised on Christmas morning when I opened the box! I even cried I was so happy!
This year I am going to try new things & get more organized!

I am drinking Lady Grey Tea at the moment. I was eating a bite of cheese cake and the tea was the perfect compliment to drink.
2015 and 2016 kind of melded into each other like there was not even a blink of an eye in the transition. I guess because I have been so busy, the two years became the continuing of my inner self journey. Last year, my word for 2015 was ‘focus’ and it did remain so throughout the entire year. I met new online friends who made me even more aware of the impact any of us can have on each other, in a good way for sure! I have been at peace in the midst of unknown world events and what may transpire. Just to be myself and be at peace, and try to pass that inner focus on to others.
May you have a blissful year, in the day to day pursuits of happiness and creative self-expression which you so wonderfully share with so many of us who are inspired by your dreams and creations which are in a magical world concocted by your special talents. OH! You know what I mean, Miss Vanessa! You are so special and have touched so many lives with your fairy tale stories, dreams, and creations!

Happy New Year, sweetie. Glad you are having fun and getting to spend time with family and an old friend. It really is magical to have that over the holiday and as the new year begins…such promise and reward at the same time, eh?
My past week has been scary and hectic. My Grandma Marie had a stroke and we really feared the worst as she was partially paralyzed on one side of her body, but she’s bounced back with all of the vigor that our matriarch is famous for. I love her so much and knowing that she’s not quite yet at full health, but going into rehabilitation that will help her heal and equipped – it makes me breathe a sigh of relief. WHEW! She’s my favorite person on the whole planet.
Anyway, it’s been strangely chilly in Florida and raining here too, which makes a unique combination of weather, so I’ve been doing a lot of cooking, watching TV shows, and reading. I don’t mind that though, it’s great for my mental well-being. 🙂
