All too quickly, it is time to say good-bye to another wonderful October.
I wanted to share our tablescape from our Halloween Dinner before we go on to the next month.

I truly had the loveliest month.
I did everything I wanted to do and am so glad I had the opportunity to have such fun.

I didn’t want the month to go by without sharing the Halloween tablescape.
I am a Snoopy lover to the core, grew up with the Peanuts characters (as many of us did) and had an original stuffed Snoopy as a child. (I still have my Peanuts characters, safely put away)
So, when I saw these pink Peanuts plates and mugs, I had to have them.
They were sold out everywhere, so I pieced together as many as I could from Ebay, Poshmark and such.

They make me so happy and go well with my striped plates you’ve seen since about 2010.
A pink and orange Halloween, just how I like it.
I remember the first time I started sharing pink pumpkins, painted pumpkins and a pink and orange combo for Halloween everyone thought I had gone mad. But then it absolutely became the Halloween norm.
Pink and orange make such a stellar color combo.

Twinkle lights and cute characters were out in spades for the festivities.

My little jack-o-Lantern I handmade wanted to join in the fun as well.

I used to think anyone that liked candy corn was insane, but dare I say, a couple candy corn mixed in with popcorn is sorta delightful.
Of course, I love candy corn mostly for the nostalgia of it all.
What is Halloween without candy corn?

I just adore the Peanuts gang.
They tug at my inner-child heartstrings so deeply.

I really enjoyed the lighthearted fun of the table.
I think adulthood is when you can really satisfy all the desires of your child-self’s heart.
You can buy what you want, make the mess that you want, do anything you want.
Who’s gonna stop me now?
Teeheee!

The popcorn was soooo beautiful in person.
It was covered in iridescent and gold edible glitter and stars.
Unfortunately, they completely disappeared when I tried to take a photo.
But boy did they sparkle in person.
It’s almost like a magic trick.
Literally impossible to see below, but shining bright like a diamond in person.

I joke that this is the look on my face the day after Halloween. (Toad below)
It all came and went like a whirlwind.
Just whipped through and disappeared.
Talk about Tricks and treats!

Another lovely memory for the books.

And now it is November…

A lovely new month to enjoy.
I do love a good November.
I feel like it is a perfect time to collect garden findings.
Make wreaths from dried flowers and such.
It’s almost like a wonderful time to rest and reflect, and of course to give thanks.
The Christmas bug bites me after Thanksgiving.
I really don’t have the heart to race into the seasons too quickly.
I know we jump into autumn as fast as we can at the end of summer.
But I somehow have to make sense of my seasons our I’ll get trampled in the hustle and bustle of the holidays.
I adore the holidays, I just need to slow things down a bit.
So, November will be for preparing my garden for next spring, with all the seeds that must go in as the cool weather arrives.
For going on walks and making things.
I have been painting a lot at night and hope to share some art with you soon.
It is my greatest wish that you too had a lovely October and are doing well out there in your neck of the woods.
Collecting firewood and making spiced tea.
I can see the swirls of smoke coming out of your cottage chimney in the far distance.
When the moon is high and the stars are twinkling.
See you very soon.
All my best,
Vanessa
PS:
I shall leave you with a little video from my tiny cottage on Halloween night.
Your videos make me so happy. Thanks for posting!
Your table is so magical! I adore the Peanuts dishes. I never saw those at my stores here close to Nashville, Tennessee, but I will keep a look out for them next year. Thanks for sharing.
That is so yummy the stripped ribbon makes it. Thanks for sharing content that is light.
You always manage to put me in such a festive spirit when I visit your blog. Pink and Orange are so special together, but the black and white ribbon always touches my heart. It’s all beautiful and whimsical.
