Heloooooo hello! Warmest greetings & buckets of thank yous, from Witch Hollow!!
It was so hard for me not to pop in for several days. I hope that everyone who wanted to, had a chance to visit the Halloween parties at their leisure.
Thank you, beyond thank yous, for making it so much fun!!!
We have had, hands down, one of the craziest busy weeks. With every imaginable thing going wacky, from commercial printers to shoe straps. But, there has been a lot of good too, baking for mister and his friends, painting furniture, lovely meals, painting, massive cleaning and catching up with life. Not to mention delicious strolls through the garden, with incredible weather. Warm days, cool nights.
And now, now we sit on the cusp of the spookiest day of the year. With last minute costumes and menu decisions for our Halloween feast.
The boys wanted costumes with capes this year. I tried to convince them to be witches, but, they were like, awe Ma, do we have to be witches????
Miles was like, okay, I'll be a witch if you reeeeeeeeeally want me to. But I'd rather be a pirate…
Mister Matty (short for Matisse), was like, this is ridiculous. Isn't playing Jane Austen Lives with you good enough? Now I have to be a witch for Halloween?
Oh how he whined….
"Riarrrr, riarrrrrrr, grrrrr…"
This stinks….
So then, because I know how it feels for your Mom to make you wear things as a kid, that you just loathed to the core of all cores – I suggested just capes.
No hat.
Just capes.
They loved it.
Miles was like, well, I didn't mind the hat thaaaaat much 😉
Can you believe Miles is alread 11 months old? With a birthday 1 month away, sniffle!
And so, dressed in our best Halloween capes, we wanted to thank you, thank you, thank you!! Thank you for joining us for the Halloween party and making it extra ooooodles of fun! It was marvelous! Worth every bit!!
Also, please don't forget, we have many free Halloween goodies over in our "Free Treats and Ideas" section.
From masks, to cupcake toppers, to paper spider web tutorials, to a Printable card! All from me, to you!
On a side thought…
I recently became better acquainted with Pinterest (thanks to my lovely friend Rosie), and I have to say, I am really loving the concept. The amount of folks who come here from Pinterest each day is amazing. Do you love Pinterest?
One reason I 🖤 Pinterest, besides all the collections of inspiration, is that, it has opened my eyes to what folks like, from items I share here. I almost fell over the first time I saw the hundreds of photos uploaded onto Pinterest from my bloglette (later photos drop off I am finding).
Last year when I shared my paper spider web tutorial, I never thought it would be so liked. I actually thought that I wasn't that amusing with my paper spider webs, haha, and forgot about them. (HP used my spider webs, in their down-loadable halloween handbook this year)
Until I spied those spider webs pinned more times than I could imagine, way before Halloween.
So, I am enjoying Pinterest very much. The collection of photos folks post are beyond inspiring. The autumn collections have been jaw dropping, wow, you Pinterest Pinners are incredible!!!
Your collections of beauty and inspirations are beyond wonderful!
And the best part is that, when you click on a photo, it takes you to the source of the photo. Which, is super important.
I get a kick out of seeing my photos out there, and sometimes an especially huge belly laugh from some of the descriptions folks use. Mainly because I am always amused at people's own interpretations of things. Most Excellent!
(If you have a Pinterest page, feel free to leave your link in comments, I would love to take a peek)
It is all very exciting, more collections of eye candy out there than imaginable, fun stuff!!
So, I veered there 😉
But the main thing I wanted to say today is
THANK YOU!!!
The party was a blast because of your visits and participation!
Can it be that Halloween is nipping at our toes so soon? In mere hours?
Too sooooon!
Sobs! Can't it last longer???
I will be back beyond pronto!!
Love, Vanessa
ps: The winner of the goodie bag from our Halloween party, chosen at random is…….
Sue Young!! Hoooooooray!!!

BOO MWHAHAHAHAHAAA!
Thank you so much for having the party! It was wonderful and I am so thankful to have gotten to participate, as well to all the lovely folks who stopped by. I must say, Matty and Miles look absolutely scrumptious in their witch’s costumes! I could just eat them up 🙂
Love to you and yours on the one holiday that’s supposed to bring loved ones together (tee hee, a Boy Meets World reference there)

Oh I did so love the party, well parties… I wore out my stripy stockings with all that merriment!
So, you have been bitten by the Pinterest bug too eh?
Here is mine – you might just find something you recognise in my board ‘Artists I love’…

Hi Ms V,
Yes, I am on Pinterest too. http://pinterest.com/creativegoddess/
I’m really curious as to how you found the information on how many likes, repins and comments were on a photo. I can’t seem to find that on any of my photos. I’d love to know! 🙂
V
I love me some Pinterest, too! I am pretty much a daily browser. And yes, I have also seen some of your things there, Vanessa! Your boys are so cute and such good sports. I missed your blog this last week, but I figured you wanted to be sure that your party was front and center for the week. Halloween hugs!
I just wanted to stop by and tell you how much I have enjoyed your blog and wish you and yours a very…
Happy Halloween!

Vickie, heloooo!! Well, I think, because I am not certain, but I
think that the photo automatically says it, if it has any repins etc. Right on the photo itself, below it. That
is where I see them on my photos. And, the way I figured out where all my
photos were in Pinterest, was, one day I noticed lots of visitors from pinterest, so I followed
the link through my Typepad Stats, and it took me to the photo, and on the left I saw
a box that said “more photos from afancifultwist.typepad.com”. And I was
like, what? I didnt put those there 😉 And then, I looked further,
and figured it all out, haha!
Sooooo, I think that, if you use this link http://pinterest.com/source/afancifultwist.typepad.com/
But after the “source/” input your own blog address or web address, it will
show any of your photos that have been uploaded. But it drops
them off as new pins come up, from what I can tell? I am sort of feeling
myself around, and figuring it all out by trial and error ;))) hahaa!
Love, V
Happiest of Halloweens to you and your delightful hounds, and Mr Lovey too of course <3
Amazing Ms V,
It worked like a charm! I thought I was a bit of a Pinterest pro but this is brand new news to me! 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
Oh, and I’ll be following you now because we both know how much I love your photos. In fact I was watching one of your flickr streams while I was on the treadmill yesterday. Not stalking… just filling up on inspiration! 🙂
Love you to pieces!

I haven’t pinned any photos from your site yet because I love them all and that is all that would be on my boards! People would be like who is this crazy girl who only likes one website? 🙂 But I probably will eventually.
I love it when I see a new post from you. It means my eyes will feast and smiles will follow. Thank you for doing what you do!

Thank you for a fabulous Halloween Party. And just so’s you know, I found out about you on Pinterest. Then I added you to my Google Reader and now we are fast friends. (at least on Reader, you’re my friend)
Happy Halloween!
It’s so funny that Miles is like, “yah, ok, let’s do this,” and Matty is like, “hell to the no, I didn’t sign up for this.” I love Matty’s attitude, it’s a lot like mine… remember when you used to want to dress me up and do my makeup and I would run from you… I know how Mattie feels, all too well!
Thank you for a wonderful party.
And I love the pics of Matty and Miles, I really heard them thinking all that.
The dogs look fab – Happy Haloween
Congrats to your very lucky winner! I know she will love your Halloween treats. 🙂 Miles and Matty look so adorable in their Halloween garb! 🙂 I am on pinterest, too!
