Elves and I, up to our favorite shenanigans. Sweet, salty, sparkly, twinkly and fun, that is our motto 😉
Fairies flutter, owls hoot, gnomes peek about…
Elves from all over the enchanted garden come together, miniature deer too, of course…
For a once a year party, with merriment enough, to collect tales a plenty!
So glad you are here at the pumpkin cottage!
The elves are on their 2nd cottage this season 😉
They insisted on fresh pumpkins to live in throughout autumn, so, I must oblige of course!
The scents and the colors, the crisp autumn air, reminds us to run about, with butterflies in our hair!!
Fix your bow tie, lace up your bloomers!
The party never ends around here, I thought you knew that?

Nightfall brings magic, and song, and spooky tales…
Haunted mushroom groves and scary trolls, witch's flight and goblin's toes!
Let's all huddle and tell our tales, mushroom nog is flowing, and marshmallow surprise is baking!
Please stay a while, kick off your pointy shoes!
Oh, let's soak it all in!!!
I can't get enough, and now I know why. Halloween gives us permission to be, who we really are. Oh yes it does. Cackles and costumes, and decorations and lights. Wacky and crazy and perfect delights!
The gift of the season is, a brain filled with reason. Reason being the fact that, the joy and life that exudes from us during this most magical time of the year, never has to go away. We can bring it out, for a day to day soiree.
Light the candle, and never blow it out, we say!!
Let's hold on tight, elfin hand to elfin hand!
Whimsy and fanciful frivolities unite!!!
Off we go, in a swirl of Halloween, to keep it alive…
And remind ourselves, to always believe in the dream!!!

psss: Witch Fingers & Witch Toes, yumms!
I just finished making these. Before they were baked, I mixed edible gold and silver dust into my food coloring and painted it onto the almond nails once they were on the fingers.
After they were baked, I took more of the edible sparkle dust and brushed it all over the baked fingers….
They are sooo super sparkly in person, mmmm!
And quite tasty!
What is a proper Halloween feast without baked witch fingers and toes, I ask?
(I wish you could see the amazing sparkle of gold dust on the fingers)
On a whim, I used this recipe. It was great! One change I made is that, I used salted butter (instead of unsalted), and therefore omitted the "pinch of salt" from the recipe.
My mom makes a savory version of these. Must try those next year. Alas, I didn't plan these until this morning. Back to my cauldron I go!

Yes, Halloween allows us to make the Imagination come Alive with no boundaries! Those of us with fertile Imaginations can indulge our Fantasies, which is why I suppose I Love Halloween so much! When I picked my Grand-Daughter up from Kindergarten today the Children were delighted that I was the only grown-up that chose to show up in Costume… I just don’t know why everybody doesn’t? *Winks* May the Wonder always stay Alive…

I love your blog year round but especially around Halloween. Thank you for all the effort that must go into creating this extraordinary world….The witch fingers..amazing…..how well do they hold together when you pick them up?
