I was all spooked out, when real life got even spookier!!! I mean really weird things are happening. Lights are going off and on, alone. I heard kittens in my studio, loud ones… And, my radio that was unplugged, turned on… Okay, white lie… The radio was plugged in, but it still turned on on its own. And it was off. I mean totally off… The lights in my bathroom, have been going off and on by themselves since a family member passed away.. Hmmm…. Verry Verry Intristink. Coincidence? You be the judge… Hee heee…. The girls are so excited about all the paranormal activity… They can hardly stand it!!
So, the girls and I are doing "giveaway choosing duty." Mr. Lovee is out at Monday night with a bunch of hot 60-something years olds. No, really, I am serious. One of them said he’d come and pick me up and take me away and pack up all my stuff. Mr. Lovee offered him money… Well I oughta!!!! I told Mr. Lovee, I am like mold, almost impossible to get rid of… hahahahaa. He laughs, nervously. (joking)
Anyhow, everyone is waiting with bated breath around here to see who the giveaway winner is… So pile up in the chaise and lets draw a name!!!! I want to get some new fun pillows soon.. Alas time is not on my side these days, but soon!! If you see any in the internet shopping world, let me know… Bright and fun pillows…
So Mr. Warlock says the winner is…..
Oh no, I felt so guilty just choosing one. I get all anxious for you!!! Anyhow, it went like this…. The magic was brewing all around… As I dropped all the hand-written names in…
Into the pot, they get twisted and turned…
And the first name I pulled was…. Wait, I couldn’t do just one, I had to do three…
But, I couldn’t stop there, I decided to pull 5. I decided 5 is a good number, I think it is my lovely friends lucky number?? So 5 it is…
So, there you have it. 5 winners. Cherie, Joy, Marjorie, Mary & Dave. FUN!!! So, each one of you will get a fun goodie bag!! It will be silly, Halloweenie, Kookie, and Spooky. A little treat… (e-mail me your addresses, please)
I am so so sorry for those of you who didn’t get picked. However, I will have another giveaway soon, so keep playing, please!!!
I have to say, things are getting a little crazy in my world getting ready for my show. It seems the pottery process is sooo slow. So many steps, glazing twice, 2 weeks in between. Paper dress girls, prints, cards, real-job, art-job, jewelry-making, cleaning up gallery… Oh my!!! I love the madness though.
Anyhow, I want to ask you all to forgive me for being so slow in visits right now. I love your comments (I live for them really) & am sure all of us who blog adore visitors… So, please be patient with me. I could use all the good vibes I can get. I promise to be back to normal after the show (it is in 2.5 weeks or so). I don’t mean to be a blog hog, but I looove your comments!
Now, I leave you with a story…. Twisted Sistahs
I just adore having holiday themed books, that I can whip out during different times of the year. Love this book!!!
Have a lovely week!! I will be back very very soon!!! Now, tell me, any spooky things happening in your world????? xooxox
Poof! I am off on my broom….

Sending lots of good vibes your way…and can’t wait for your return!
Mary
I should get the wiring checked if I was you!
You are hilarious, off on your broom. And all those weird things going on at your house – very seasonal hauntings! Lucky winners (and yes, five is it – thank you). Good luck corraling all the madness in time for the big event! I know you will manage it. 🙂 xoxox
Oh my goodness – the spookiness!!! I am such a baby – I read a REALLY REALLY spooky story on the internet yesterday and could hardly bear to be alone in my loft space during the day – if any spookiness happened here I couldn’t bear it!!!!
Oh but you are so busy!!! And do you even make time to sleep? You do seem to thrive on it somehow though. Good luck with the preparations for your show!! xxx
Oh, did I miss a prize draw? 🙁 Loving your spooky Halloween happenings, things are always a little wild over here right? You display jewellery in the most awesome way, and I adore your cushions especially the ‘Bewitch Me’ ones. The Pumpkin Book…swoon!!
You have the absolute BEST blog in all of blogdom!! I love visiting it, and it always leaves me happy!!!! Thank you for being you!
Suzan
Yay for the winners! All that spookiness sounds too weird! And you sound very busy. Never fear….I will always visit you and leave comments when I can. I love your photos and the way you spin a story.

Your such a sweetling!! 🙂
And thank You, thank you, thank you danka, dear!! : )
Congratulations to the winners!
Creeeepy lights going on and off… think I’d be way to freaked out if that happened to me. I really like your pillows, very fun!
Of all the things you do .. don’t you sew? Since your so creative you could come up with some pretty funky pillows I would think!
there are always spooky things happening in my world, I bring that out in a place…I sound crazy but it’s true, true, true…
like every time I am stressed out or very upset I hear a small bell jingling, this used to happen every night for a long time after my father passed away, you see he had a small bell he would ring to get my mothers attention if he needed something and could not talk…after he passed every night the bell, the bell, the bell…. then it stopped, years later I moved into the family home and there it was, but loud…the bell, the bell….I had to tell him he needed to stop it was scaring me, so he did, now the bell only happens when I need it to, you know….like when I need to know my father is still there.
true story…but I have many more.
The only spooky thing that has happened to me is being one of your winners!!! Spooky because I’m not someone who usually wins anything so I am delighted and thrilled to be receiving one of your goodie bags!! I can’t wait for my treats to arrive (and tricks if you are feeling so inclined with the season!).
Love the books you’ve displayed…so creative when people can write and illustrate for Halloween…you make me miss my children’s younger years when Halloween was all about them!
Best of luck with the show…sounds like you are reveling in the madness…but isn’t being creative just another sign of madness?!? LOL!! Enjoy every moment!!
Woo-hoo – can’t believe I was one of the lucky winners! Btw, LOVE the pot the names were picked from… 🙂
As for weird thing happening here – we have an old Doctor sign that hangs in our kitchen from two grommets – every now and then it gets turned around by itself. It’s written on both sides but one way it hangs very noticably crooked ….
Thanks again V.V.! 😉
Madness and spookiness- oh my!! ;D I missed the drawing- boo! Oh well..:)
Love the book too!Enjoy the broom ride!!
Oooooh, paranormal activity! Love that!! Nothing like that going on around here…just me working my buns off cleaning and organizing. Best of luck with your show, I hope it’s a smashing success!!
xxxooo
Congrats to the winners!! And thinking super productive thoughts for you!
Hey silly girl, you linked me twice.
I think your house is haunted!
Now you see it, now you don’t, now there’s two.
Lucky ducky winners!
Hi Miss Vanessa! I missed your drawing post…where does the time go? Congrats to the winners!
You know…that whole lights on and off thing, that happened to me right after a very close family member died and I was in her house alone packing it up. I tried to ignore the lights, but then something crashed to the floor in the kitchen while I was in the living room. Never knew what it was because I swear, NO ONE has ever exited a house faster than I did that day! I’ve never forgotten that whole experience so who knows….you may have a visitor!
Twisted Sistahs! The author of that book lives in CT! I LOVE his books….do you have “Miss Fiona’s Stupendous Pumpkin Pies”? Also a book about a witch and it is so cute! Love the illustrations in his books!
And last but not least….I covet your green witch’s hat! So very pretty!
Blue Shmoo won your last one and now these five? Sheesh! What’s a girl gotta do to win?? Would it help if I told you that all of these past months I’ve been lying to you? I’m realy a 60 year old bald guy.So I want a “do-over”. Hmm…or maybe a comb-over.
D.
I just know if Mr. Lovee had drawn the names I would have won…nah, just kidding….or am I?:)
Spooky goings on? Unexplainable paranormal happenings? Faulty wiring? Will we ever know? Let’s consult the manual, shall we? Page 1,297 says such happenings two weeks before Halloween usually indicates a STRONG……
oops, I ripped the page. so sorry.
Darling girl your whirling schedule would make even the tasmanian devil dizzy! I just know you’ll get it all done and with a flourish…..just sit in the chair…remember?
XOXOXO
Love,
A Twisted Kindred Soul Sistah
WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
I can’t wait for my goodie bag! 🙂 Thank you, and we will for sure be sending good vibes your way for the show.
Happy Tuesday!
I love visiting your blog, I always feel like I’m enterting a dream world. Spooky things in my world, hmmm…I live out in the country with no neighbors and my big daddy is gone on trips a lot so I always have spooky noises, hooting owls, trilling racoons, coughing deer, I just seem to notice them more when the moon is out, which will be next week. Can’t wait!
I would have to say that spooky things, just never seemed spooky to me. I guess I am a hard one to spook. the only thing that ever spooked me was when my son talked about the little girl that lived on our stairs, in a very old house we lived in, in Washington. Odd things happened all the time. Once while my husband Fred (he was from my other life.) was out to sea, my shelf that held all of my China, that was bought over seas, fell. It just came out of the wall. It would not been a big deal, but it had been screwed into the studs in the wall. I had a dog that would growl at the dresser in the spare room. Many odd things like that. It went on for months, so I did a little digging. I found out that a family was killed in this house. We move out shortly after that. So you could say I am sort of like the coweredly lion. I do believe in spooks I do I do.
Love Erin~
I love those spooky stories… Are you scared or do you secretly like at as much as I do :)? I love it when those unexplainable things happen, make me optimistic some how! I did some research for school, philosophy, about this subject. So interesting! Also about escapism.
Oh those people who won are so very lucky 🙂 Too bad for me, but still I love it that you show how you draw a few names! Makes it also very much fun even if you don’t win something, just as much fun I guess! I love it those prices you give now and then.
And don’t mind about the comments, I love it if you come by so now and then! And about the weblog of the week, thank you so much that I can use yours! (Not to be a bootlicker (is that an English word…?) or anything, I just really love your blog…!)
So just take it easy and enjoy this nice time of the year and just do what you love to do and watch more Carnivale and other good series and movies!
xxxxx Les
No spookiness in my world… you know I try to avoid that kind of thing. 🙂
Sending all sorts of good vibes your way! I know the show will be GREAT!
xo,
Karen Beth 🙂
Ohhh…congrats to each and every winner! How lovely…hmmm…odd goings on in the house? Well, a kind friend reminded me that Mercury just went retrograde (and we all know how that reeks havoc with our electrical things) but, it was right before he told me that one of my favorite shoe stores in town is having their 20% off anniversary sale starting tomorrow (and I just cleaned out all of my shoes to make room for a new pair I have been coveting for a while now) So…at least that’s lovely news dear Mercury! Heavens, I’m on a bit of a tangent, no?
Good luck with your show preparations Miss V. Make sure to take some photos of the finished products for all the blog friends to see!
Sounds like lots of spooky fun.
Enjoy the show.
The lights in my mom’s car flicker and she always blames it on my grandma Babi. So… maybe it’s her fault?
And off you go!
Congrats to the winners. Lucky few. 😀
congrats to the lucky winners! wheeee! …I witch I could have won..I know the prizes will be Spooktacular…HOWLever,I promise you there will be no BOO-hooing from this GHOUL!!!!

i utterly adore all your gorgeous witchiness!!! 🙂
Many spooky, ookie, and creeeeeepy collaborations going on at the Pagoda! take your time sweetie -pie,no rush at all. I feel like soon my wonderful webbing fun will be limited. I will tell all soon.
there will be some very happy people – im with doona o- boo hoo- just joking- how are you dear- now im thinking about- putting on my apricot satin ball gown and sitting under a big old tree and sipping a cool glass of champange- want to come join me-
Well, we are very unspooky here(I made that word up myself!) Sad however that it was not my lucky day! AAaah well, maybe next time! Love the book oh, and can’t get enought of that gorgeous hat. I want to make something similar in pink for my niece to go with her witchy costume. Good luck with the show, happy to hear from you at all, you must be crazy busy!
Drats! Oh well, maybe next time but I’ll keep coming back even if you didn’t have any giveaways. 🙂 Your Twisted Sistah’s books reminded me that I should dig up my Scary Godmother books for my niece.
ohhooh..
the spookiest thing that happened to me
[aside from being surprised
by your Mr. Warlock ]
was this:
you actually drew MY NAME
*somepinkflowers*
to be a winner
but
magic intervened
and turned my name into
~~Dave~~
that happens sometimes…
🙂
that is OK,
i will try again NEXT TIME
as your fun thingys are so
*fancifully twisted*
carry on…
needed to get myself in a halloween mood and i just knew you were the best place to come! Did a swift catch up on your posts, so much happiness, it’s just oozing out like jam (jelly) in a big super spectacular fruit sponge cake.
All the Mr Lovee wonderousness going on, the boudoir etc, your new chair, your wonderful winter coat (majorly love that coat) and your new man… Larry – oh he is utterly adorable.
Mr P’s cat has one of those extra long tails, they are so dashing aren’t they. But Mr P’s cat does not share any fondness for water, quite the opposite. Larry is clearly an exceptional creature. And maybe you will become used to the cat hair etc, my mum was allergic but then we got a cat and over the years (quite quickly actually) she got used to it and though she still got a runny nose and wet eyes a little it was never as bad as it had been all the previous years of her life. I hope it works that way for you, clearly he has some magical powers so I wouldn’t be at all surprised.
I’m thrilled to have stayed up late to pop in for a visit, for stories (the 6 swans, wonderful find, I saw it animated on tv once). And I’m especially pleased that you are getting fall weather and respite from the baking heat. Having had almost no heat here everyone is a bit low about the cold weather, but it’s mostly dry and looks like it may get pretty soon. If I’m not back in time then Happy Halloween to you Miss Wonderful Xxxxxx
Vanessa darling you are a dear to share goodies and 5 is the BEST number in my opinion. Loved this post all the spooky happenings perhaps your spooky visitors have friends who are visiting me….cool air has been filling the studio late at night while my paint brushes often find themselves upside down in their container…I like to believe it is my friendly muses coming to visit however perhaps it is the 5 year old who feels the art room should be his….nah lets stick with the muses.
XOX
Kristen
Hello, moldy mamma!!! Hee hee
Loved that, you were crackin me up. I like to think of myself as tough to get rid of too, makes my man just shake his head. Actually, I tell him he must count his lucky stars that the Gods smiled upon him the day we met!!! LOL Remember, hooks in, don’t let go!!!
As for my spooky goings on, my house has always been haunted. Our electrician was spooked and wouldn’t work here alone when we were wiring the place. They like me though. They don’t bother me, no siree. They like my company. I have yet to be weirded out. It’s other people that get weirded out here. My house is going on 100, and when she turns a big century, I’m a having a huge par-tay for her!!! Yippeeee!!! I’ll even invite the ghosts.
xoxoxo
Blue!
Hey Vanessa! I’ve never known anyone get so excited over halloween (it’s really not a big deal over here at all). Be careful you don’t accidentally turn yourself into a frog in the midst of all the excitement!!!
Okay Curiosa you blog hog…you have me searching for spooky happenings but all that did was I saw a peeled off piece of tire on the highway and I thought it was a dead armadillo and wondered how the heck he crawled all the way to Kentucky before getting hit…
And doesn’t Consuela make some beautiful bright pillows? Did you get the treats yet? Las ropas?
Yes, actually: I was manning the desk at the local arts festival exhibition on Wednesday morning, when the large glass doors to the foyer slid open by themselves, stayed open for a while, then slid shut! They open automatically when someone approaches (but nobody visible was there)! Soon afterwards the lady who was taking over for the afternoon arrived – but she couldn’t have made the doors open herself – not physically, anyhow. 🙂
