Birthday Candle & Miniature

Hello!

Birthday 1

I have been in a world far far away.

In a place called…

Birthday Week.

(sis lighting candles)

Birthday 6

It was great.

I had a birthday party with my family at the country pad.

Mombie asked, what kind of cake do you want me to make you?

And I said, oh don’t make one, too much work.

Then she asked, well then, what kind of cake do you want me to buy you?

I said.

Something CHEESY!

Something Kitsch.

And Ridiculous.

Like, a fairy, in a swamp with clowns & dinosaurs, and santa.

She seemed perplexed, and was like, oh – okay.

With the type of Oh, Okay, that told me she was on a mission.

Birthday 7

Lovee brought me gobs of balloons, and a pretty pretty vintage bracelet.

I forgot to take a pic of me wearing it.

Then my sis and parents drove down the road towards my house, and I could see the balloons below in the distance, bobbing out the car window.

Birthday 3

It was hilarious.

They brought so much food, and we had great music.

I made my dad a mixed cd with songs we both love, and remind us of our life –

Growing up and such.

We all talked so much.

Tears, laughs etc.

Then, the cake came out.

OH YA!

Birthday 4

Santa and Reindeer!

My mom had the gal at the bakery put a santa cake, on a bigger cake, and lump cupcakes all around.

Isn’t it hilarious?

Birthday 5

Totally the cheesewhiz I wanted.

SANTA!!

Birthday 10

I blew out all the candles (almost), and got my hair in one of them.

No torched hair though, yay.

Birthday 9

Matty and Miles barked to come in, and sulked on the porch window.

Finally, Matty had had enough of not being able to see what we were up to.

(he is used to getting his way, you see)

So, he came up with a plan to look in the side window.

RASCAL!

Things they do when you have company.

We had never ever ever seen him do this.

That Matty.

Lovee and I laughed, as Lovee cringed at thoughts of his car scratches.

🙂

Matty on the car

I have had a week of playing with miniatures.

Dioramas and my little treasures that I have collected and made, over the last 15 years.

Miniature 1

I have been to the post office many times, and stood in lots of lines.

Which I quite enjoy.

Everyone around me seems grumpy, but I love it.

Every store was out of living garlands yesterday.

It’s sooo cold.

There is snow on the mountain.

It rained all night.

Love it.

I went out this morning and tossed all my spring seeds around.

My toes froze.

I can’t wait to see what spring brings.

I have reflected on my last year several times this week.

Of ups and down and all arounds.

I only want the good in my mind.

Letting all the anxiety inducing stuff go, as best as one can.

And jumped around to some good music.

I was still a little sick on birthday, so I had no cake.

But I did this morning.

A bite.

And it was goooood.

Birthday 2

December 11th is always a fond day in my heart.

My parents talked about the day I was born.

And how they almost killed me my first 2 days at home with too much clothes and blankets on.

And although it was snowing that day, the doc taught them that I wanted to be naked.

Their daughter who rebelled for freedom from day 1.

Fun fun.

I got a couple cards and treats in the mail too.

That really made things extra special.

I love snail mail.

And those parcels and notes were so unexpected.

I was gobsmacked!

I put my cards on a little table.

And have looked at them several times a day.

Snail mail is so special.

In this day and age, for those who take the time, well, that’s more than swell.

It’s superduperduper!

One of the songs I put on my dad’s special mixed cd was this below.

And I have been singing it ever since.

So, I’ll leave it as this year’s birthday anthem.

With fondest memories of 1986.

Great lyrics!

So time is a river rolling into nowhere
I will live while I can
I will have my ever after…

Sparkly heart

  7. I am so glad you liked the cake! It was a toss up between the Santa head and a cake decorated to look like a yule log. There is no way to describe to you the way we had to carry this to the car, place it in the car, and then yell at our father on the way, so he would stop breaking hard or not to take the turns too crazy bc we wanted the cake to arrive perfectly!
