Oh spring, finally here.
Can you even believe it?
I sure can't.
Last year was so dry and warm.
This year we had a super rainy winter with snow on New Year's.
The garden is so grateful.
The desert adores the moisture.
So, fancy that we would go into spring with a little spring shower.
How lovely.
The rain knocked wisteria petals off the vine and created sheer magic on the ground.
The vine was so full and fragrant as the clouds rolled in.
Twisting itself up the gazebo frame that is in the little area where a greenhouse sat long before we came along.
Greenhouse remnants, love them so.
Wish I had a real greenhouse.
But a memory of one is lovely too.
Especially when inside is a carpet of wisteria flowers.
Droplets had purple petals fluttering about, like a mid summer night's dream or something.
Nature.
Amazing.
Some vines crawled up into the climbing roses and are blooming together.
And as I tip toed about today, cool earth and breeze with sun peeking through clouds…
I managed to find enough flowers to make a lovely bouquet.
A perfect way to say hello to spring again.
Oh glorious spring!
Makes me want to write fairy tales and roll in the fresh lawn.
Flower times again.
Seem sort of too good to be true.
Flowers I mean.
Tucking them in here and there.
I really am always in awe of such colors and petals in nature.
I just can't get over it.
Sweet little cup of blooms.
I'd give them to you if I could.
And now the wisteria that hangs on, is full of carpenter bees.
Gulping away.
Sweet things.
As we enjoy the wisteria on the ground.
It's like a little dream for me.
So many years of building my country garden.
Then, one day, the wisteria does its thing.
And I think, wow, my hard endless work is really paying off.
So, I bliss sigh.
Thankful hearted as can be.
As I bring my little bouquet inside.
Sniffing all along the way.
We are so lucky for seasons aren't we?
Fresh blooms of early spring, delicious.
Wonderful.
Beyond words.
Are you spying some goodness in your neck of the woods yet?
Spring excitement is in the air for sure.
Happy weeeeekend!!
Love, V
ps: A little video I took in my garden…

beautiful.
Gorgeous. Wisteria has always held that surreal, ethereal fairytale quality for me. When I was a little girl walking home from school in the spring, I would get in trouble with my Mother because I would stop at different yards along the way and admire the flowers. It made me late getting home and my Mother worried. In my little girl mind, it was like walking through a storybook. Sometimes your post reminds me of how we create our own reality when you walk through your story book world. You make our world a little more beautiful, Vanessa.
your blog is always such a pleasing mix of nature, beauty, colors, fun focal points, calming photos, intriguing art put together in such a fun, awesome way. i love visiting here 🙂
Thank you so very much for sharing this lovely video 🙂 It is still a bit wet, cold and grey in my neck of the woods, so no wisteria blossoms to enjoy just yet….so the sight of yours and the fantastic Mr. Bumblebee certainly made my day a whole lot brighter—thank you sweet lady!
Wisteria Fairy Land! What bliss!
I love the enchanting wisteria video…sigh…
Thank you for sharing your delightful spring day.

The wisteria is pure magic!
Loving your beautiful flowers! Happiest spring!
Beautiful!!! Wisteria flowers are so gorgeous, and that smell…….heaven!
You have enchanted my my dear V! We haven’t an ounce of spring weather yet, not one bit! Going on month 5 of snow covered ground. Send some flowers and warm blooms my way please!
I can’t imagine how heavenly the scent of the wisteria blooming through the roses must smell! Ah, if only you could bottle it….
Beautiful.
Thank you for the photos and video! It gives us hope. At least now we have snowdrops blooming. I love snowdrops!
Your Wisteria is so pretty. I’m afraid to plant it here in Florida since it’s an invasive species and will eat EVERYTHING…but I love it so. It’s just so Southern and ladylike…it’s beautiful color and how it announces springtime. Makes me want to have tea.
My Thai Princess Bougainvillea is bushing out and finally growing up the fence. I need to get some other lattice work to give it a chance to run along the top. It’s so pretty in pink and white colors…very dainty.
Thank you for such beautiful thoughts and images giving me hope that spring is on its way. As I sit among 3inches of fresh fallen snow, which is beautiful, but not what I am longing for, the sounds of birds in your video are the perfect way to begin my morning.
Ahhh, this is just magical Vanessa!!! I wish to run through ur gardens and sing ‘uhhh,’ some song like Julie Andrews in the Sound Of Music!!!! TeHeHEE! <3<3<3
Thanks for sharing your amazing magical world with us, always beautiful and inspiring.
I can almost smell the wisteria in your video. Sweet bee delights me.
A mild winter we did have, so flowers are blooming here. No roses yet,
but blossoms, daffodils, tulips are making my heart sing. Dreaming of
bouquets such as the one here.
Nirvana for sure. What a talent you have for blooming things. Growing and arranging them. What a gift! Seeing your Spring brought a warm breeze my way. We are still waiting for the snow to melt.meanwhile I drink in the sight of your garden and sigh contentedly.
OH how magical! I’ve always wanted a wisteria arbor…..and now we have our own place I don’t think we have quite enough sun…..do they do well in shade at all, do you know? Everything we plant besides rhododendron and hosta seem to melt away into nothing around July here…it’s so wet and shady. tee hee. A veritable mushroom heaven, have we! tee hee : ) Wishing you a most lovely Easter to come and a splendid Spring-time there in your gypsy gardens!!
i love wisteria….and that garden gate OH how I love it!
You had and will forever have me at wisteria. My heart always soars when I see that you have a wisteria post. 🙂 It touches my heart almost more than any other flowers — dreamy drapings of magical beauty. Unreal! And I looove the video, and hearing that busy little bee buzzing away as he works so diligently — boy, he’s got it made with this location! And p.s.: I would purchase a postcard with the first photo on it. 🙂
Oh! And I adore your lil’ cup o’ blooms! 🙂
Wisteria, brings about special memories for me. I had a great aunt and uncle that had beautiful wisteria all over their white front porch. It greeted all of my great aunts patients as they came to her home for Chiropractic treatments. Most left with a hand full of the bush too. Her home was a place of healing and of loving and forvme so much joy visiting them with my new born son. Fond memories of 36 years ago. Thank you.
