Where to begin? I am an exhausted noodle head, and missing home already. Isn't it funny when you spend days away from your life, how you feel sort of discombobulated when you return? I miss my Mammie 😉
But, I will shake it off and fill you in a little on my adventures… Well, the good news is, I had a snowey powdered sugar kind of Christmas in the hills at home with my parents and siblings and more… It was a run in the snow and cold and squeal kind of a holiday for me indeed!!
I exited the vehicle down twirly roads, oodles of times to frolick in the super cold weather…
But before I tell you about that, and my discovery of why witches hats are shaped the way they are, I will take you on a little road trip with me…
I left Catalina and drove an hour to the airport, collected my kookie friend, drove to Tubac, Arizona, shopped and ate gooey delicious cheesy melty mexican food and drank margaritas. Where we got hit on by weird guys… Eeeek! We escaped that one quickly though. And insisted (both being tough chicks) that we did not want any strange men paying for our margaritas, no Sireeeeee!
We arrived home to twinkly lights and giant wreaths…
A warm goldie glowey house was a magical delight to fall into…
We unpacked, tucked in, and waited for the whole gang to arrive. A house full, and laughs and bickering and more double over until you can't breathe laughs, and more bickering ;) I am sure we all made my parents insane.
We attempted to go to sleep… Giggle, snort, whining about turning off the lights, chatting in the dark…
We could hear Mombie baking until 3 a.m. We awoke to bliss…
Sis makes these below, every year…
And then, I baked everyone's request. Which I bake every year as well. My own version of…
We prepared for Christmas Eve dinner, to be served after mass…
While we waited for guests to arrive, I went outside and took some photos of the beautiful lights my Mom and Dad and elfin helper put up…
While I was outside taking photos, I took the funniest one facing the house. It was Mr. Lovee in the bar (eating nuts I bet) and Alden (my friend) in the kitchen. Both have their backs turned.. And I wonder to myself, what are they doing? It is so funny to me… Are they nibbling before dinner? 😉
As for dinner – It was beautiful, thanks to my parents hard work putting it all together. We enjoyed it to the core, then sat around and chatted for hours…
To view these mosaic photos, simply click, let them load up, then click again to view large version…
Now, here is one of my fave parts… After dinner and chatting, I talked about going to the North Pole – in terms of Santa's village… And my Dad said, he might be able to take us there…
So, my friend, Mr. Lovee and Mammie and Dad jumped in the car. Noone else was game ;) And we arrived to a magical land for sure. I jumped out of the car and skipped around and bounced and danced. There was pure holiday music streaming through the street (literally from the people's gadgets on their roofs). I was singing like crazy… SO much fun!
I am from a very small town, tiny in fact, so everyone knows everyone, and my mom filled us in on all the light wars between these two houses… I think they both win, in my book!
Isn't it wonderful? I don't think it is cheesy at all, I think it is quite fun. In the past I may have rolled my eyes, but call it the aging process ;) I just enjoyed it tons…
We then drove through town, and I took a picture of the center of our town, where the beautiful Catholic church sits…
I took this one below for you too… I took it from the top of the hill where Granny's house is…
Ever wonder what separates you from Mexico? A HUGE wall, lit constantly, in a little border town… That's what ;)
So, after our Make Believe North Pole excursion, we went home and chatted until the very late hours of the night… Forcing ourselves to sleep… Which is a reason Santa was running very very late the next day, hee hee ;)
Christmas day was filled to the brim! Coffee and treats and gifts oh my!!
Giggling and ripping paper, and trying on goodies and thanking one another, but enjoying eachother's company more than anything…
I made my Mammie her very own Sugar Plum Fairy and oodles of jewelry ;)
Then slowly, everyone started disappearing playing with new toys… I was enamoured with Mammie's yearly delight, "The Fairy Tree." There are more fairies in that house than anywhere, I am sure of it… Except a store or fairy factory. They are on the mantle, in my sister's room, and better than anything, in the magical Fairy Tree…
Oh and the cutest thing, Santa left a brand new bicycle for Mammie ;) She jumped right on it…
When Mammie came in from riding, she said "the only one watching me ride my new bike was Mr. Lovee." He was such a cutie, helping her, making sure she didn't break her neck… And they were both freezing because it was truly coat and scarf weather – and the snow was looming…
Not that you care ;) but from where Mammie is standing, all you see for miles and miles surrounding the house is this… And I have long crazy tales about exploring that land myself as a wee kid…
Anyhow, I have completely lost track of why I am talking your ear off (or eyeballs in this case), or what I am talking about…
Oh yes, Christmas… Sooooo, after gifts and such, we piled in the car, and went to my Grandma and Grandpa's house (Mom's parents). My friend Alden, had such a wonderful time with my incredible Grandparents, who lavished her with more hugs and kisses she could have ever hoped for. So much so that she was moved to tears. When asked if she was okay, she said she longed to have her own family as such, with grandparents to love… It was very touching and made me want to hang on to everyone for dear life myself…
It was starting to get cloudy and snow weather was rolling in, so these photos at Nana's are very weird in color…
Granny's house is the best… Alden questioned my Grandmother oodles on tortilla making, and was as in love with that wood burning stove as all of us are… She asked my grandfather so many questions about his fireplace and such, I think he was in seventh heaven 😉
By the way – the thing that astounds me is that my grandfather is 80 and doesn't have a white hair on his head… Floors me every time…
Granny puts up a huge beautiful manger…
Kids opened gifts. My brother Adam, gave a beautiful pop up Alice in Wonderland book to Carolina…
Surrounding her were 15 loud people all opening gifts… But I didn't get clearance to slap their faces on my blog, so you can imagine it all ;)
After Granny's, we drove home, and spied the Ferromex Train…
4 deer were waiting for us on the other side of the gate to our driveway…
And just in time for winter – all the leaves fell off of my favorite tree, in one afternoon…
Are you bored at my super long post yet? How do they get sooooo long? Goodness me…
Well, the next part of my story is the last part for now ;) And it has to do with witches hats… You see, I have made a discovery. Witches not only made those great hats for stylish effect – they serve a huge weather purpose.
They should be sold for the winter, not just Halloween!! They need to make a winter wear debut in a major way… Maybe I am on to something? And better yet, they keep your camera safe from rain or snow, and your eye make-up too!!
You see on the 26th, when snow was falling everywhere, I urged a few to pack into the car, and let Mammie and Daddy take us for a drive in our Winter Wonderland… I got dressed first. And realizing I only had a witches hat - I found brilliant use for it…
I put on 3 layers. I felt like a snowman. Here is the only chance you may get in life of seeing me in that get-up… In the pantry door ;) I wore that hat all over snow filled lands…
I am holding a huge bag, so that is what you see on my shoulder…
And, I have to confess. My sister was mortified at my outfit. Pistachio green pants, three tops, a thick winter Indian quilted coat (with lots of colors), and a witches hat. Truth be told, I wasn't embarrassed of my outfit in the least bit. Nope, not at all… Told you, I am nutty sometimes… She hollered "Are you really going out like that???" Umm, Yep! 😉
It was soooo theraputic to be out in the wildnerness, in the silence of snow falling… I forgot to change out of my high heeled boots, so I wore them, to walk all around the wildnerness… I walked down roads that had less snow, as we exited the mountains, where it was dangerously snowing a bit to much to be on those roads…
As we drove into town, the snow subsided…
And we drove by a little house literally in the woods, in the middle of nowhere…
Alas, I have to confess, that little couple inches of snow, was all I think I might want in life. The cold is a tad too cold for us Arizona people. And I don't think I can live in Wisconsin. Mr. Lovee's family has been sending a ton of hate mail to us, because of the snow shoveling Mr. Lovee is making fun of them for… ;) Isn't he a meanie? 😉
We needed warm drinks after all that… So we headed to Patagonia, where on the outskirts, sits a shrine that I have been to over a hundred times in my life…
Curious? Come with me.. I'll give you a sneak peek…
Up the super narrow stairs, still in these bad boys…
Inside, you slowly open the little gate to fill it with your candles or prayers, etc…
Then off to Patagonia, Arizona - not far from our house, to get warm at the cafe… I think Patagonia must have a popluation of about 700-800 people max… It is teeny tiny, and quaint and charming, and again, teeny tiny.
I stayed a couple more days, and then had to deal with packing… My least fave part. But, the fact that I was packing treasures was fun… My car was so full! I had all sorts of stuff, including big furniture. Which I loaded into my car myself. I am proud of the huge tasks I accomplish (moving furniture and such), and I feel so gratified. I found ways to do a lot of it without hurting myself… Mr. Lovee says I am crazy strong ;) Tee heee ;) Not too tall at all, but strong like Popeye ;) Okay, not quite… Maybe a little strength mixed with a whole lot of determination 😉
Sooooo, believe it or not, I think that is all I have to say for now… Later (next post) I will share all my paper cutting I did on my trip, and show you how I kept everyone totally entertained…
Here are a few…
I couldn't cut paper fast enough… Everyone wanted one… You know, people are easily amused when there is nothing else to do but eat and chat and play… 😉
I must be off, I have really overdone it this time, with this super long post!! Must make sense of my unpacking and rest up… We might go out of town for New Year's… My Grandma's birthday is January 1st…
All I know is I am one tired girl… How about a vacation from my vacation? ;) Any ideas?
Can't wait to catch up with you though!!! How are you guys??? Did you have a Holly Jolly Christmas???
More sooooooon!! xoxo, V
ps: I forgot to take photos of Mammie's village (which she asked me to take, oops), but you can see last year's here…

Beuatiful, wonderful, cozy, sweet Christmas post! Thanks so much for sharing all these pretty pics!
Thank you SOOOOO much for taking me along Vanessa. What a lovely celebration. It all looks out of this world!
Thanks for taking me on your Christmas trip! I still needed a little Christmas as I was ill 🙁
But now I’m getting better and pretty much looking forward to 2009! I wish you a very happy 2009. Live your dreams!
Your Christmas adventure sounded and looked SO incredibly amazing. Your mothers house… it is like a wonderland! No wonder you are so brilliantly creative – so is she!! The land you explored as a child… that looks like you could have CRAZY adventures!! I’ve never been anywhere like it and now it makes me really want to sometime take a trip out west and see this beauty for myself :). When I saw the “snow” you went out to see (and how many layers you wore!) I have to admit I giggled. Guess what? In my hometown of Alpena, Michigan they got over 48 inches of snow!!!!! Can you even imagine that?!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful holiday vacation… I almost feel as if I was there, standing next to your sister blushing about your green pants and lobster bag topped with a witch hat. 😉
Hello sweetness! Thank you for all those warm and fuzzy pictures!!!!! Seems like you had one “fairy” magical and enchanting Christmas! I love your mom’s fairy tree!!!!! And, how did you make it in those boots?!!!!!hahaha!!! Take care, and Happy New Year!!!
Oh, yes~ *~HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA!!!!!!~*
Miss Vanessa,
I love your photographs of an enchanting family home. Browsing through your parents home, it is obvious where your creative eye came from. Your mother’s decorations are gorgeous. I love that fairy tree and how it matches the mantle garland. It looks like you had a magical Christmas. Happy New Year.
Karen
Vanessa, this is wonderful. I’m sure you know that I oohed and aahed at your 🖤Mammie’s🖤 gift. What wonderful homes you have to visit. And your friend was so lucky to share it all with you!
We had 2 feet of snow here right before Christmas! But due to rain and warmer weather, it is almost gone. Time for more!
Oh my – what a wonderful holiday you had! Seems so festive compared to the quiet one I shared with my hubby. Hug all those relatives tightly as you can’t imagine how sad and lonely it is when they are gone! Loved your magical photos – thanks for sharing them with us!
Oh, everything looks so lovely Vanessa…what a wonderful trip! Love that Sugar Plum Fairy, bet Mombie was in awwww. Glad you had a magical Christmas…ours was great too! Now trying to get back in the swing of things and what to do for New Years!?! Hmmmm, decisions….desisions! Can’t wait to hear what you get into 😉
Your mother’s fairy tree is incredible and I bet they come alive at night – moving all about the house and causing holiday mischief!
Happy New Year to you & yours. ‘:)
Vanessa, What a wonderful, magical Christmas you had. It is so much fun to be able to go with you on your adventure. Thank you for sharing your Christmas enchantment.

Vanessa, you are a very talented girl. Your photos are gorgeous! You’re parents home is gorgeous! Wow….what a post. Loved every bit of it. Have to agree with Christina…..”a magic carpet ride”. What a beautiful holiday celebration. This post is “beauty” in every sense of the word. I am so glad to have found your blog. Happy New Year!
…and love, love, love the witches hat!
I love it when you talk my eyeballs off.
Thank you for sharing your family with us. I have embarressed siblings too.
And you’ll probably hear this a million times, but I love your mother’s Fairy Tree. It’s magical and now I can see where you got some of your special powers from.
Happy New Year!
Two of my favorite things, tamales and Patagonia, AZ.
It looks you had a wonderful Christmas with your family!
Beautiful post and beautiful photos as always!
I wish to you very happy new year, lot of health and creativity!

Strength and determination was the only thing that got the new couch in my house (well, that and taking both the front door and the couch legs off…I think I surprised Rich, but I told him it was this or the roof must come off…he didn’t believe me)
Your Christmas looked so magical! I just love the journey to your families…it’s always so very fun! And how did you get snow?!?! We only got some tiny sprinklings hereabouts! But, Christmas was still lovely.
We are heading our your way in a few days and straight on to Toombstone and Bisbee…and will be in Tucson on Sunday. I don’t know if you’ll be available…but I would love to see you! I would also love a stop at Anthropologie…
Everything looks so magical I’m getting into the Christmas spirit again!
Christmas was fun and relaxing 🙂 I need to seriously start working on my new business but now I have a bit of a cold. Or angst about the future which I blame on the cold. Or something.
Hey what do you mean about the fairy factory? Fairies are BORN, not made? Hm.
Oh your photos are beautiful Vanessa! Loved every minute of the tour with you. Your mammie’s fairy tree is lovely and so is the house. I especially loved the backyard. I’d definitely fly down that slide into the pool!
Martha
XOXO
What a wonderful post!! Everything looks so festive and magical, and your Mom is an absolute inspiration (The apple doesn’t fall far, hehe!) Thanks so much for sharing your winter wonderland with us, and Happy New Year!!

Sigh… Another wonderful escape post from Miss Vanessa! I just love these! Looks like such a wonderful magical Christmas. Thanks for sharing with us. I suggest some video watching and vegging out for you! With maybe a little art thrown in, because after all I know that is fun too! Happy New Year!
Your photos are always so magical in the way you describe them.I always get excited to see a new post by youAll the pictures are great,I especially love the snowy roads. Thanks for sharing!
Looks like you had a wonderful Christmas!! Great photos!! Glad your back.
Kris
Our Christmas was a bit weird, as it had to be postponed due to the most snow Portland has seen since the 1960’s. Portland so rarely gets snow, that basically the entire city shuts down when there is more than an inch on the ground, as the city has no capacity to clear roads and sidewalks and people aren’t used to driving in it and such. This year, we had a total of 15 inches, and it was on the ground for 12 days straight. It was really nice to have basically a whole week off due to snow and then Christmas day, and I *love* cold weather and snow, but it was weird sitting at home Christmas Eve just cooking dinner by ourselves with a foot and a half of snow outside.
Thankfully we got together with the fam this last weekend and it was really nice. Definitely a Christmas we’ll remember for a while.
Here are some pictures, I think you saw some of them on Flickr already 🙂
http://picasaweb.google.com/poetas/ArcticBlast2008#
It was nice to have some pictures to go with the stories you told me on your way home! However, I think that was the longest post in the history of the world. That’s ok, though. Because I’m all about avoiding responsibility by reading blogs. You’re totally my enabler!
You know, someday when you are older and gray (but still quite young at heart), you will be able to look back on this blog and its various adventure posts and say to yourself “I’ve lived a helluva full and wondrous life”.
Keep it up – you’re keeping us all young, vicariously.
Happy New Year!
Kate
Wow, wow, flipping over WOW! What an amazing pictorial story. I’m in awe of your parents’ house….and I love the sugar plum fairy….and I love your boots! 🙂
I just wish we’d get some snow — every single one of my online friends seems to have gotten some!
Merry Christmas Miss V! How sweet a holiday you had. You can talk my eyeballs off anytime (love that image!). Seeing how another part of the world celebrates is always a gift. Yes, we have the snow and the cold up here, but I, too, am Queen of the Impractical shoe…and am wearing said black boots now! My family loved the special canvas prints they got as presents, just wanted you to know. I love the witches hat, very Potter-esque, and the shrine adventure. Thank you for letting my mind wander to where you are! Happiest of New Years to you! Enjoy the day!
Erin, TesoriTrovati
OUCH!!!! My heart hurts with such an explosive longing to have experienced your Christmas holiday in person. I feel like when you’ve had the most incredible dream and then you wake up and foggily (sp?) realize that it was just that, a dream. That yearning for it to be real, is a very real and physical ache.
Also, You can never EVER write too long a post for me, the longer the better. I love experiencing your world if only in my “dreams”. Love you little miss V.
That was the most fun reading blog post that I have ever seen! You surely know how to celebrate in such a fun way!! Your pictures were absolutely breathtaking and you are one very lucky girl! Your post made my laugh and cry too. Your friend said it all when you went to visit your grandparents……….
Happy Holidays Vanessa! Can’t wait to see how you ring in the New Year……………=o)
*Lori
I want to spend next Christmas with you! Such a fabulous account of your amazing holiday adventures and beautiful photos to boot! Happy New Year, dearest Vanessa. xoxox
OK- I can’t stop the feelings of jealousy any longer. I WANT you to adopt me and I want to spend every holiday with your family. Did you win the family lottery or what 🙂
Lovely post my friend!!!
OH!!
I’m so glad to see your Christmas was a delight….and you got some magical, lovely snow!! HOOORAY HOORAH!!
Your post is a treat (as always)!!
Witchy-Winter Hats….why,yes!! Perfect idea, Miss Loverrrly! : )
And now I’m quite hungry for more sugary treats!! Those dainties all look so yummy!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR to Yeeeeeee! 🙂
WOO hoo! You are one whacky, wonderful winter witch with all the whimsical wanderings ! The tree! The deer! the Snow! You are wonderous!
I could stare at your photos for hours and hours. You take the most amazing shots. That fairy tree is absolutely beautiful.
Vanessa,
Looks like you had a lovely Christmas. Your mom’s fairy tree is delightful. I’ve been collecting them since my daughter was tiny. We used to have fairy tea parties…which I’m sure your mom had for you.
There’s a little patch of fairy moss…growing in the middle of winter…by my mailbox. Everytime I see it, I think of you…since I know you collect it 🙂 I’ll have to post about the moss and the fairies soon.
What a happy, festive family celebration to share with us.
May your New Year sparkle!
Elizabeth
I just love all the wonderful pictures!!! So much fun and I too want to go to the North Pole. I am an elf at heart. Glad you had a good Christmas and I want to wish you and Mr. Lovee the very best New Year. Hugs, Bobbi Jo
Holy Moly missee!! Thanks so much for taking us along on the Merry Christmas holiday….You are descended from a long line of magic makers.
Happy New Year!!
x..x
Una entrada maravillosa!!!
Las fotos alegres y coloridas.
Que tengas un 2009 lleno de amor y salud.
Bendiciones.
You truly live in a magical world. I am always swept away into fantasy land when I visit your blog, but more so this time. Wow! Just WOW!!
What’s that you say? You’re next trip is to Denver? How exciting!!!! I can’t wait. 🙂
Wow, even I need a little break now for some air. Amazing photos! But I must say I loved the white bedroom most of all – it looked so cosy 🙂
Hope you have a fantastic year ahead of you, Vanessa! Keep posting, we love it.
It looks like you had a wonderful Christmas, thankyou for sharing it with us.
And I think I’ve said it before, but your parents’ house is AMAZING. And I love the fairy tree, so beautiful and colourful.
I now see that your magical life is genetic! What a fantastic way to celebrate Christmas. I love your parents’ red Christmas Eve dinner table–beautiful!
Happy New Year
Thanks for sharing the photos of the family adventure, I miss all that family stuff, now that my brothers and I are all seniors, we don’t get the big family together, and we should! Enjoy it, everyone seems to go in different directions as you get much older! Thanks for bringing back family memories.
Karey
I love your long posts!!! You know how to make Baklava!! I love Baklava and haven’t had any all season long. I must rectify this tomorrow and go out to get some. I’m sure it wouldn’t be as good as yours.
I felt like I went on a grand adventure to your family’s for Christmas. The tree, the food and gifts. The shrine you shared with us is beautiful.
I wish you a very wonderful, magical and blessed 2009, Vanessa.
I was reading right along, enjoying the pictures and your wonderful lifestyle…then the Menudo sign…but it’s okay because Carolina was next and I shook it off! Look how she’s grown! 🙂
Tell Kristin at least you weren’t wearing your nightgown and Kentucky flip-flops when you went out!
Your mom’s tree is amazing!!! Love that wide red silk or whatever!
Vanessa, welcome back and Happy New Year! What a lovely post and just beautiful photos. It looks like you have a very magical Christmas!
Cheers!
I waited and waited for this update post and then when it came I almost didn’t want to read it until I was sure another one was coming along soon! Kind of like the Harry Potter books—it was horrible to finish one because you knew you had a long wait until the next one…fortunately you’re more prolific than JK Rowling!
Your holiday look magical and like so much fun…I can understand Alden’s feelings totally!
Have a Happy New Year!
What a wonderful post!!!Your parents home is just beautiful~!!!!
Every pic was amazing….I am always tickled to see how many photos you put up!!!
You pour so much love into each post for all of us to enjoy in blog land;-)
So blessed to have met you this year really a fabulous adventure!!!
Hugs and Happy New Year to you and your family,
xoxoxo
Kay
Happy New Year Miss Vanessa!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed your trip. I wish I had a shrine in a mountain side to visit here in Ohio.
I just LOVE how over-the-top your whole world is.
love and kisses
It all looks so magical! I am so glad you all had such a lovely time! Wisconsin eh? I hale from Racine, Wisconsin. And yes, I can attest, shoveling snow is an exercise in futility that is worth making fun of…unfortunately it is also necessary for safety. We’re getting another 4 to 8 inches while I sit here writing…
Happy New Year!
What fun Christmas adventures! Happy New Year to my favorite story teller:)
WOW! You had an amazing Christmas! What a fabulous place your folks have! Looks like a ton o’ fun and beauty.
WOW! What an amazing Christmas you had! Your folks have an incredible place! Happy New Year! 🙂

I love that you are so generous to post all these photos, and to TAKE them, and to show all the pretty stuff you know we love. Very sweet!
I wish you a lovely new year, and Many Happy Returns to your Grandmother!
Hi Vanessa!
You are the best and thanks for ALL your support & friendship in 2008!
Hoping 2009 will be a great year for BOTH of us!!!
Happy New Years!!!
XOXO
Chris
You really run the gamut of extreme weather in Arizona! And those cookies! I was drooling into my keyboard and then came the baklava, happiness is a piece (or two!) of baklava and a cup of warm tea. Have a very Happy New Year Vanessa!
What a lovely Christmas you had! Thanks for sharing it with us, too! =)
Happy New Year!!
WOW!! Snow in southern AZ – that is magical.
Loved all the Christmas photos. Thanks for the info about the shrine outside of Patagonia, I didn’t know that was there. However, now I’m not sure when I’ll ever get back to Patagonia, let alone AZ. Some day soon hopefully!
Ga – are you sure you weren’t at Trump Towers for the holidays? If I were there (your parent’s house), I would NEV-A leave…your parents would have to kick me out! What a house! Your mom should participate in Tablescape Tuesday at Susan @ Between Naps on the Porch’s blog. Mr. Lovee looks a little like Yani (sp?) from behind. Hmmmm….are you hiding something from us? ;O)
Hello Miss Vanessa,
Wonderful photos of wonderful places!
~ Gabriela ~
That tree is truly enchanting! I could stare at it all day…
I think I’ll join Tara and come spend next Christmas with you!!! You are the most hilarious person on the planet.
Don’t you get exhausted??? From entertaining everyone? You even show us your boots! I’m howling with laughter here.
Your Mammie and your Mombie MUST be the same person, am I right?
Love it all, and especially you. How can people keep a straight face with you around? The grins must explode onto people’s faces when you walk into a room.
Happy New Year!!! I just love you.
Oh, and I already read the post above so I won’t comment, I am one of the unfortunates who must return to work tomorrow.
🙁

Sending smooches~!
I loved every single thing about this blog, from your stories to your photos to my wish once again to be able to meet your family and, well, to be honest…EAT!! OMG…the food is always so fabulous at your Mammie’s house!
I have that same Alice in Wonderland pop-up book…I love it! One of my favorite books actually.
But above all else I am left with your observation of “the silence of snow falling”. Because for me, this is the most beautiful thing about a new snowfall. And for the first time in a few years we’re actually getting a LOT of snow and we love it! I absolutely love the quiet stillness of snow falling, especially at night. It’s so peaceful.
PS…send me your baklava recipe…it looks YUM-O and I could truly live on the stuff (as long as I have coffee to go with of course)!
As we enter another new year, I am once again thankful that I “met” you…you have brought much to my life. Happy New Year Miss V.! 🙂
Happy New year from your AZ neighbor of East Mesa Area.
Love love your photos. I hope someday get though point of veiws of gatherings.
We eat tamels for our Christmas Eve dinner.
I showed photos of the making of them a few weeks back on my site under wordless wed.
Have a great 2009!
Hope to see your work in person someday.
Katrina in AZ
What an awesome post. I love the decorated palm trees & the fairy tree. I just showed it to my hubby & told him I want 1 year round. He said no. We’ll see. haha. Aww, I want a sugar plum fairy too.
Loved all your pictures from Christmas, and I have to tell you that I LOVE Tubac. I’m in Gilbert, here in Phoenix, and my grandmother lives in Green Valley, so we visit there alot. It is just the cutest little town. It is so much fun to go exploring.
Tricia S.
I came over from Confessions of a 40 Somthing… So glad she sent me over here to see these gorgeous pictures of Christmas. I’m going to go back and look at each picture again! They are wonderful. I will be adding your lovely blog to my blog list. laurie
