The Little Hands Coming out of the Wood…

Did I ever tell you the tale…

About the little hands coming out of the wood?

Little hands coming out of the wood 1

The first time I saw them I gasped.

Little hands coming out of the wood 4

Little hands.

Offering something, but what?

Oh, so much.

My heart fluttered.

Little hands coming out of the wood 3

It was about 13 years ago, when Mister Lovee presented them to me.

Little hands coming out of wood.

(he had them since the late 80's, and never saw the hands, imagine?)

Actually, little hands coming out of a saguaro skeleton.

Nature's magic.

Saguaro skeletons are ever so special.

Especially since they come from inside something that could have lived upwards of 200 years old.

Oh, those little hands enchant me so.

Still.

Come closer….

Closer….

They whisper.

Little hands coming out of the wood 2

I give them gifts.

Little hands coming out of the wood 6

And will never…

Little hands coming out of the wood 7

Ever, be able to get over the little hands…

Coming out of the wood 🖤

Sparkly heart

 ps:

If you look really close, you can even see some Van Gogh swirls.

Oh my, but they are beautiful!!! It makes you wonder, what are they reaching for? They look like they are almost begging, pleading, for someone to gift them something extra special…which you have ;-))).
They reall are breath taking little hands, Vanessa.!!
Much love to you from me…Coricakes

  2. Mario says:

What a fabulous tree. Just in love.

  3. Jenn says:

Bedecked with the jewels and gifts! Like you are giving a gift back to the earth and it is holding it back out for you to share.

  4. Dixie says:

Me thinks the magic awoke when you arrived 13 years ago. One of the loveliest and sweetest thing I have ever seen 🖤

  5. Queenie says:

These little hands are totally cool! What a wonderful gift of ancient nature, beautifully entrusted to you and Mister. Most excellent indeed!
Have a great day and wonderful weekend.
    Always, Queenie

  6. laura says:

I love when I find things in something that others can’t see. I once found a tree whose roots looked like long thin fingers digging into the ground. So beautiful and magical! 🙂
It is so awesome that you give gifts to those hands! Sounds like something I would do. tee hee!
    love & blessings

    Oh wow…nature is amazing!

  8. Kim says:

    Vanessa:
You know what’s so interesting about the hands? They’re made of wood, which is hard, yet, they are so elegant and flowing. I want some hands coming out of wood for myself!
I love to find images in nature. Ava and I were walking at the park today and she noticed a small stump sort of thingie sticking up out of the ground. It looked like a hand giving the Heavy Metal Horns. Not nearly as pretty and elegant as your hands.

  9. Lisa S says:

That’s amazing…… I’d give them offerings too. There is so much that can be imagined – art and poetry from these hands coming from the wood.
    XO

  10. Miss Linda says:

Oh so amazing …these look exactly like hands. What a great find and your jewels look wonderful in them. Oh yes, can’t forget Van Gogh. Great post.

  11. Renee says:

Those little hands are so amazing. Aren’t natures gifts to us the best. And I do see the swirls.
Kinda like lying back on the grass and staring up at the clouds so you can see the shapes there….
    Magical.

  12. Laura Tieri says:

That is just the coolest thing! I love those hands!
The swirls are cool too! It looks like wet, rolled up newspapers!
Like when our newspaper delivery people forget to double bag the paper on a rainy day! :0)

  13. Oh I love them! Nature does the most amazing things! Beautiful photography!

  14. Deborah says:

I love me some tree hands.

  15. Kelly says:

Ohhh Vanessa, what magic and grace these hands extend!!! Such a lesson for ALL, that even something old has something wonderful to share!
Your music choice at the beginning reminds me of some Peter Gabriel.
    Happy weekend!!!

  16. Its Deep Forest. Another engrained in me group, I listened to all
the albums on repeat for years beginning when I was a senior in highschool,
drove everyone mad 😉 In fact, Peter Gabriel did a tune with them
    once.

Beautiful, amazing little hands coming out of the wood! Thank you for taking such wonderful photos of them and for posting, and sharing, the magic of them.
    Blessings,
    Victoria

  23. Marilyn says:

    It is all other-worldly.
    The music from the video,
    mesmerized by the water,
    and those hands reaching
    out.

  24. Little hands and Van Gogh swirls in wood…My goodness!!!…The elves and fairies have been at work for a very, very long time on your magical acreage. Fascinating and definitely ‘other worldly’. (I just looked up at Marilyn’s post before mine and she too, put ‘other-worldly.’) Amazing….simply….amazing.
There is magic in the world after all!!!

  25. Lisa Wright says:

Oh my gosh, that truly is wonderful and of course, they would come to you, as I secretly believe you are a fairy Queen…

  26. Diane says:

How very beautiful!! What a special gift.

  27. Linnea-maria says:

    Wow! That’s beautiful!

  28. Shell says:

Wow, that is amazing. It’s as if your tree is reaching out to share love with you.

  29. Marjorie says:

OH What magic, truly lovely and otherworldly!!!!! This reminds me ever so of ‘the pig’s teeth…in the bark…..they cure the toothache’!! : )

  30. val says:

that is lovely. I see faces in our fence, my favorite is a little fox face that I greet every day. I see things like that everywhere….it is so NICE to know someone else sees things like that. PS…..I love Deep forest too. So much in common, too bad we’ve never met!

  31. Joni says:

It is so great that you look closely and see wonderful things that a lot of us may not recognize, and that you share it with us!

  32. Maybe that is why I love the country so much Miss Joni? I stop to
smell the roses so to speak? And that sort of awareness and bond with
mother nature is something I always longed for without even knowing, and love
    more than anything…. 🙂

  33. OOOh! So neat.
But they freaked me out a little.
I think they seem a bit scary, like the trees from The Wizard Oz.
    Be careful.
Wouldn’t it be creepy if you saw little tufts of dog fur in the fingers?
