He has two beautiful fluffy beds. One store bought by granny, one made for the porch, by his mama. The porch bed (like his brother's) is a table turned into a fortress of squishy wonderful cushioney white puppy bedding. Set on 5" foam no less. (he likes his beds just fine)
Still, he'd rather choose the spot where shoes are taken off outside the door, to catch his siesta.
Under a tall planter, intertwined with soles.
Is it because, he loves shoes?
That's my guess.
The true sign of a shoe lover.
Hopefully, not to become, a shoe eater.
Which would be tragic.
😉
So now, I am off to create a deliciously fun day for myself, whilst staying on our little plot of earth.
Any ideas?
ps: Last night I saw Mother and Child (intense), and Catfish (oh my goodness!).
I liked them both very much.
pss: I am always with little Miles, or available for him. Still, he loves hanging out with those shoes during his mid-day nap (which I know he does because they smell like our stinky feet, which he likes, tee hee). I think it's adorable 😉

Cute…cutie! He probably feels safe with his parents scents…perhaps put an old tennis shoe in each of his beds…
Miles is so adorable… I hope he just only loves to sleep with those shoes… he’s got good taste. My little Bassett Hound Beau used to love shoes, and chewed up my last pair of red kitten heels… but I loved him anyway, and those shoes hurt my feet, so… I will always smile when I think of Beau..
Puppies and kittens love the scent of their owned “persons” and shoes are one of the best ways to snuggle and stay close for comfort and security. Miles is TOO cute and I just love puppy breath. Did you ever watch “The Sex and the City” episode when Charlotte has a new dog and it tears up all her shoes and purses? Of course, I know Miles would never do this, Charlotte’s doggie was a Jack Russell Terrier and cute but very devilish…not nearly as cute as Miles is though.
I just can’t get over how adorable he is!
I think he likes the smell of the shoes because it smells of you. My dog use to still my underwear and sleep with it! Eeeeeeeeeeeek!!!! The vet told me it was like a comfy. Errr…, sweet, but still…
What could you do?…hmmm…take a pic of the fist thing you see when you go outside and make a wonderful Vanessa story with it.
OR…blog…
OR…paint something red! ( I love this colour!)
OR…find a match box and create something with it!( one of my favourite games since I was a little girl).
Bye for now!!!!!!!
XXXxxxXXXXXxxXXXxXXXxxxxxXXXXxxxxxxXXXX to all the members of your family and you!
blush blush blush…should have read previous comment before posting it and corrected my spelling mistakes………………………………………………………………………………………bad bad me……now am hiding under my desk.
BUT I AM FRENCH so I have a good excuse…
:p
He looks so happy on his shoes!
Ahhh, that is so sweet.
awwwww….
When I was little we had a cat who was much older than I was; my parents got him when he was very little and I don’t know if he was too young or had lost his mother or something but he got a white wool slipper which he’d crawl into when he was super tiny and when he was bigger he’d just hold it until he fell asleep :'(
Awww, so cute! I didn’t realize how behind I’d gotten on my blogging until I saw this cute critter on your post and thought ‘did she get a puppy??!’ Such a sweet little guy. And such big paws to grow into – they grow so quick! Another one of my furry babies left me during the weekend. Louie – or rather King Louis who ruled the house with a furry fist. He was the brother to my beloved Lestat who I still miss dreadfully so it was his time. I have just one cat left and cherish him all the more. I dunno if I’ll be getting a kitten anytime soon – you know how it is to need time to grieve and move on.
So I’m so glad for you and your new oh so cute little guy. He seems to have a little mohawk action going on. 😉 LOL Oh, and also having my 200th post and a little giveaway if you are interested.
Best wishes! (and that Frida book looks cool – I’ll have to look for it!)
Puppies and big dogs for that matter love to lay in your major doorways (my guess thats where your shoes are?). I think its just to keep an eye on us. Maybe so they don’t miss out on our comings or goings.
Buddy the Wonderdawg likes to sleep on actual FEETS. So, i like the shoe thing much better 😉 Good lord you find the cutest puppy in the history of cute puppies!!!!!
What’d ya end up doin’?
xoxoxvivivivxoxoxoxroooooooooo
And hey what’d ya plant the other day????
Soft, sweet and a shoe lover? I think you’ve stumbled across the perfect man… puppy. 😉
<3
I, too, wonder if baby Miles smells his mama’s scent and feels comforted. He looks like he would be the BEST to snuggle up to. He came with an enviable coat of the warmest-looking fur!
What kind of delicious fun did you find to do, Miss V.?
He is so stinkin’ adorable! I agree that he looks like a puddle full of snuggly fur that you could kiss on all day long! And he likes shoes – what a boy!
Oh he’s a fluffy little gem, I tell ya…and too cute that he wants to sleep with your shoes (which by the way, those booths…marvelous 😉
Are you gonna plant something (which is just weird to even be thinking about because it IS FREEZING here!! Or bake something, or make some candy, or pies…or what, what is it V…I can’t take it!
p.s. Speaking of delicious…I’m having 12 of my girlfriends over for a girls night tomorrow and I’m so thrilled to try a new ‘Grand Raspberry Trifle’ recipe I found with homemade whipped cream and all…oh it looks deeee-lish! And I’m making lots of other little goodies along with a pomegranate champagne punch *licking my lips as we speak* 😉 Wish you weren’t so far…you could totally join us, of course! 😉
p.s.s. tell me what your up to, tell me, teeeelll me…….. 😉
Hugs,
Jamie 🙂
Miles is so beautiful 🙂
While Miles is finding your sent with your shoes, he is leaving his sent for you. He will always be loyal to you. He feels safe.
Well really…who doesn’t love shoes? I sleep with my closet door open so that I can see my shoes (well, and block the light from the neighbors…but whatever!)
Olive loves napping on the shoes too!
but, sadly…we have had to build raised shoe shelves because she became a shoe eater.
anyway, your Miles is just the sweetest!!
x..x
With all the beautiful shoes you have I really REALLY hope cute little Miles doesn`t become a shoeeater….. that would be horrible.
be careful with that little furball, he might be the type to roll in poo or over dead fish, hee hee! Doggies do love the weirdest smells! He’s a cutie pie!
I will never forget the time my little Billie came home slathered in poo and with a giant smile on her face like MOM is going to LOVE this! Mom did not love that. ugh!
so cute and your gum boots are almost as cute. where are those from I could use those on the rainey westcoast?
I must say, they are mighty fine shoes to be hanging with! Baby Miles looks like a little Easter Lamby. We need to make bunny ears for him, like the ones I added to SPC Ryan’s knit white hooded onesie when he was 9 months old. Oh yes I did. Even put him in an Easter basket for a photo op. Yep, I was THAT mom. Now on to your day…if you are having the same beautiful sunshine that we are, I would suggest a blanket, 2 fur babies, and the new Romantic Homes magazine. Just sayin. **blows kisses** Deb
Miles is so unbelievably adorable! He likes your shoes because he picks up your scent (not to say that you are stinky…that is not what I mean! LOL). My baby boy is always with me and his older sister is always nearby. She loves to sleep with toys. Baby boy likes to snuggle up to me when he sleeps. Treasure your little baby always! xoxo Theresa
He is so cute, I can’t even handle it!
I just want to scoop that little baby up and hug and hug him. A few wet kisses would be most welcome too. I think baby Miles sleeps by the shoes because that makes him feel like he is near his Mama and that makes him feel secure. Sue
I think he feels secure with the scent of the new people in his life. He is so adorable.
~elaine~
I love the boots in the picture. Miles is the cutest of course. Is Mattie jealous or are they having too much fun to be jealous?
OK, puppy love. He’s still so fluffy cute! And I completely understand his napping location becuase I also adore those gold flats! You have the MOST amazing shoe collection. Where do you shoe shop? Please, please share!
The other night we looked over near our couch on the rug and our Shadow had his head on a pair of Jack’s underwear LOL Dogs are so weird. Your new one is precious!
That is adorable! I bet he loves the smell. The smell of all of you, the outdoor grass smell, etc. besides being an appreciator of the latest shoe trends! Last night I posted how our kitty led me to the shoemaker elves bounty! Pets and shoes, such fun!
Oh, such a precious new puppy, he is adorable..and the pictures are fabulous!
