Mad Tea Party prep is in full swing!!
I have been going absolutely bonkers over here.
I had no phone or internet for 3 days.
Then got it back for a little while, then nothing all day yesterday.
With MTP looming, that’s a perfectly good way to make me lose my mind, haha!
It’s back now.
Phewey!
And if the crazy monsoon rains don’t turn up today all should be okay.
Anything for rain in the desert.
If I do lose power again, I will go to the library or beg my friend to let me use his computer.
This could get hairy my friends!!
Eeeeee!
Also, guests are already turning up.
In red striped stockings!!
And black and white tailored suits.
How fancy schmancy the buglings are getting, don’t you think?
The desert is turning bright green everywhere.
Not just where I water.
Frogs everywhere.
And pools of water here and there.
With no snow this winter and no rain for months and months and months.
This rain is a gift.
Glorious rain and sparkly puddles!
Now, if only we can keep my internet on…
I won’t have a mad tea party heart attack.
Somehow, someway, I will be here with my own post.
Floods of rain or not.
Reminds me of this…..
Alice’s Pool of Tears….
See you soooooooon!!
Mad Tea Party fun, oh my!!
I am so excited now!!

Oh rain –we’ve been getting some decent thunder boomers at the end of the afternoon. I love rain; and if I’m safely tucked away at home the lightning and thunder’s good too. 🙂
YAY MTP!! I am trying like a madwoman <---hahahaha to conjure up a post in between work and pup demands and remodeling jobs and vacation planning !! EEKS! its the good kind of cray cray. 😉
I’ve been working on my post today, as well. I was hoping for some outside photos but there’s rain here in Arkansas today too! It might end up being an indoor party but, either way, it will be lovely!
Oh! My! And I thought my one hour power outage was bad! You poor, poor dear! That means air conditioning too. Ugh! No air! I guess running through the rain was a must!
I do hope it all works out for you for the MTP and you have no more power outages.
But the rain! The lovely rain! How awesome!
Looks like those bugs went to a very special Tailor for their one-of-a-kind MTP suits.
…and I always love watching those vintage Alice movies, what an awesome water scene of Alice’s tears!

Hoping you get needed rain (we have terrible drought where I am in CA too) and strong internet! Ready for the MTP! And wow, what gorgeous bugs! I have never seen anything like them! What are they? ~Tricia.

We’ve had two lovely storms the past two days and might get more tonight! I have frogs in my new place! Frogs!!! I’ve been working on my MTP – so excited for Saturday!
love & blessings

ps…hugs & kisses to Matty and Miles!
Wow, looks like rain all over! I was also prepping for MTP here in North Carolina and had planned on an outside affair BUT it started pouring at 6:00am and then was off and on all day! So my daughter and I set up inside and had a good time anyway! The clean up was easier for sure!
Only 1 more day!! MTP, here we come!
Excited for the event.
I will post on Friday.
I think my party is ready
and I am ready to play.
So glad you are getting rain
and will hope the internet
cooperates.
Those bugs are really neat! Send some of that rain out west, please. 🙂
I, too, am excited about the Mad Tea Party! It’s the perfect mid-summer diversion. I hope your internet cooperates.

I hope you likes it. I had to post early as I’ll be on the road to North Dakota where I work when the party begins. Perhaps you can mention it during the funfest? I hope to get in on the fun sometime this weekend, but who can tell? Certainly not me~
So sorry Vanessa, to hear about the mischievous weather. Looks like there will be some new characters joining you, from your garden, along with the white rabbit. ; )
At least they have proper attire for a Mad Tea!!! I am happy to be joining in on the fun! Won’t be long now! Good luck my friend and I shall see you on Saturday! <3
I have no idea what the bug is, but I would like to know 🙂 too

I love it when I can unplug from all social media and online situations, but during a special event like the MTP — aaaaaaack, indeed! Haha. I’d lose my mind. I’ve been talking about it to everyone for the past 1.5 months since you made the announcement. Yay! ONE MORE DAY. FUN IS ON THE WAY!
wow! amazing close ups…I love them.
I am all ready for the party and I am jumping for joy. See you soon….
Dear Desert Rain… We love you, but please don’t spoil the tea party! -xo
I can’t wait for the tea party! I love that green dish with the sugar cubes, very pretty! It’s funny, I never put sugar in my coffee unless we are in some nice victorian B & B and there are sugar cubes in a fancy silver server with little tongs! :0)
We were out at our lake house over the fourth & had my husband’s family over. When we got there, the power had just gotten back on after being off for 3 days! We had some bad storms & high winds. Some piers & boats were flipped but we were lucky! I had to throw out all the food that was in the fridge & freezer but I can live with that. How long does your monsoon season last?
We are supposed to have fall-like temps. next week around Chicago. Luckily the humidity hasn’t been too bad this summer. Unfortunately, the mosquitos are quite another story! I got eaten alive the other day while working in my garden!
(tea) Party on!
I am sooo happy there are no mosquitos here yet, and when we do get them
they are nothing like moist places. Thats a plus I suppose, hahaha!
I think it is supposed to last 2.5 months or so. But usually it only
last from July to end of August from my memory :))) I am sooo glad your
weekend place was safe, oh my!! You all do have quite a lot of weather
dont you? It rained last night, but I didnt care, we moved quick and
made sure the things that could not get wet were removed quickly. It is
soooo humid here its bizarre. Sucks the life out of you doesnt it?
And 105 plus temps, eeeeeeeeee!!
I adore your take on bugs… my reaction is screaming and running 🙂 LOVE summer rain, we never got it in SoCal, but here in Raleigh, every day is full of gorgeous fluffy clouds and pink sunsets 🙂
Sending you wishes for the internet gods to be bountiful for you, let their blesings rain down upon you.
I am still in prep mode myself.
My post is ready! I can’t wait!
Is the monsoon season upon you already! I guess it’s that time of year!
See you tomorrow!
xo,
RJ
So excited for tomorrow! I do hope The Internet Fairies are granting your wishes for all to be well tomorrow, Dear Miss Vanessa!
With hugs and best wishes!
Betty
No, it lasts until the end of August I think 🙂
