Golden twinkles, a flurry of activity…
It's a little bit like a real toy workshop around here these days…
I am bound and determined that there will be elves and wee faces in this shop this very week!
Maybe not the huge bevy I had planned, but a healthy handful…
It is so cozy and warm inside, with a BBC mini series playing, and plenty of orange spice tea…
Whilst outside, it rains and rains, without a break.
How I love the few times we get rain, especially the winter rains.
Today it is watery and cold out.
Big fluffy clouds, snow capped mountains, flannel ruffled nightgowns…
And lots of sprouts, from all the seeds I have tossed about, peek out, letting me know that they will be big and tall in spring if all works out.
But for now, there is paint + me working double time –
Unless the earth swallows me up, there will be wee faces this week, in my online shop.
I can't say what day (as I don't know myself, what with photo taking etc), but I will come here and post photos, and let'cha know when the adoption doors are open.
Finishing touches continue…
Random Chatter Alert -
Ages ago Mister Lovee bought me a CD on one of his many thriftventures. But the funny thing was, the CD he thought he bought (the CD was taped shut so he could not check), was not the CD in the case. Even funnier is that, the CD in the case, is even better than what he thought he had purchased.
Boy, that was a mouthful 🙂
The CD in the case is a menagerie of songs on harp, which I adore, and am just now getting to listen to in full. The Godfather, on harp, ha! My Favorite Things, on harp, swoon! And more. So, between the smell of my spicy citrus tea, and the music and the painting, I am in heaven.
No to mention that Mister Lovee peeked his head into the studio to say that his signature French Toast was made and ready for me. I should let him cook more often 😉
Although, this morning was a total surprise.
I love surprises, do you?
He is a good gnome.
Well, back to my elfin workshop I go!
Love, Vanessa
ps: I posted this a couple of years ago, but I just love it. It makes my whole face smile. Have you ever seen so many beautiful complexions in your life? Not counting children and babies?
I love that I understand two things.
"I need a snow dream under the sky"
&
"Sha-na-na-na-na"
haha!
Wait, I think there was a third & 4th thing I understood…?
Anyhow, smilesville!

Ah bliss. I hope I will be able to snatch up one of the wee elfin babes when you pop them into the shop! I’ve wanted one forever! I will have to keep my eye on it. Which BBC miniseries’ have you been watching? I need a good one to dig into.
Lots of love,
Jenn
I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU LIKE THAT SONG!
ITS ONE OF MY FAVORITES,SMTOWN<33333
They just released a new Christmas song this year!
Darling Vanessa, I am late in wishing you a most magically wonderful birthday! You see, I am away on a travelling adventure…satisfying my gypsy yearning. I have woken today to the sound of birds outside my little travelling home on wheels. It is my birthday today and what better gift to myself than sharing the birthday love xxx
Oooh I love that song!It really made my smile!
That happy video left me thinking that *I* just might need a snow dream under the sky myself! : )
Oh, your wonderful creations! Keeping us all in suspense as to when they will pop in your shop!!! Last year I managed to snatch an elfin cottage when almost everything was gone!
We have had such dreary, cloudy days lately, some cold, some just chilly, some pretty pleasant temp wise. Some rain off and on as well. I am ready to see Mr. Golden Sun, though!!!
Oh, French toast sounds so mmmmmmmmmmm!
I just love your elfin creatures! What kind of clay are they made from? You inspired me to make some clay figures to use as Christmas ornaments (little people, tiny houses, and a big caterpillar). I don’t have a kiln and I wanted something homemade, so I used a cornstarch & salt clay recipe I found online. I’m so looking forward to painting them tomorrow. I’d love to know what material you use and if it requires a kiln or if it is air-dried.
Can’t wait to see your new creations!
Melanie 🙂
I spy tea pots! <3
ps. your little gift is on the way.
Oh…what sweet little treats I see there! Perhaps I shall be lucky enough to adopt one…I will keep my eyes open. 🙂 We have been hard at work making little holiday gifts for our family. It’s been a lot of fun. I needed to print out mailing labels for our Christmas cards today, only to discover that my laptop was not linked to the laser printer so that i could do so. As Winnie the Pooh would say “Oh bother.” Waiting for hubby to do the legwork to find the shy printer to link it up. How sweet of your Mister to prepare you such a divine treat…I am sure you enjoyed!!!! xoxo
Oh me…I can’t wait for your gnomes to pop in the shop…I hope I’m at the computer and able to snag one!! So sweet of Mr. Lovee to buy you random CD’s, tee hee and make french toast…surprises are great!!
Hugs,
Jamie 🙂

I can’t wait to see your new elfin magic.
It looks like it is going to rain all week… Crazy Arizona :o) My fur babies went out into their backyard kingdom last night just as another downpour unleashed itself… Ahhh the smell of wet dog and puppy paw prints across the tile…. We’ll call it performance art -lol-
Have a great day.
Always, Queenie
Looks like true magic happening in your shop…manifestations of all the wee parts of your ageless soul 🙂
