Exciting tid-bits are being wrapped up in our neck of the woods, as an official party announcement will be here in mere moments (a couple of days). So much to do, so much going on, so many squeal worthy happenings to share.

However, the grandest news is that YOU GUESSED!
Yes, the Mad Tea Party is about a month away.
I can't wait, can't wait I say.
Treats and sparkles and wonderland, who can resist?
It beckons me, it beckons you!
Every year, about a month before the party, all manner of characters show up. There must have been a memo posted in a mushroom meadow or something, because oodles of gnomes are turning up. And even better, they are building wee chalets, with plans to stay!
They said they will protect me too, so that's good news!
Secretly, I can't resist, I must reveal that the white rabbit has come to visit me…
And just yesterday, Alice saw me frantic trying to save my computer from a virus disaster, and turned up with cupped delights. Of course, she asked me not to utter a word…
Okay okay, I know what you are wondering.
What of the Mad Hatter?
Well.
Um.
Ahem.
Yes, he too.
He has so much to tell you in days, less than a few.
Let's just say, we danced under the full moon, ducked in bushes from passersby, ran around the street, in full costume. Yes yes.
But wait.
I must save some for later.
What about your secrets?
Are your Mad Tea Party gears churning and turning?
So much to do, so much to do!
The flamingos are eager as eager can be, for proper croquet in the garden…
They are borderline threatening, with their partyness excitement overload…
Things can get kooky with 6 flamingos living in our garden areas 😉
Oh oh, and I almost forgot.
Gus, the hugeish gnome, got lost between here and Michigan, twice.
But finally, he is here, just in time.
He is the party bouncer, butler and valet, for those of you arriving on tricycles and in pumpkin carriages. And, when he is not doing those things, he runs the karaoke machine and makes fluffy paper flowers.
I don't know how to tell that mad hatter that I am in love with Gus.
Gus.
Be still me heart.
Oh Gus.
Gnome of me wee hearrt (roll your r's there).
I think he won me over with his total belief that he is Gnomey Bennett.
I mean Tony.
So, I must skedaddle and finish up the last bits and bobs of planning, so that I can properly invite you, for the maddest most wonderlandest tea we can conjure up.
Oh my, oh me!
Love, V
ps: The first tall sunflower of the season has bloomed, and guess what? It is a conjoined twin!
Two flower heads, on one stalk.

Vanessa:
How exciting….so many of your plans are in place and the gnomes are arriving! Be careful, those flamingos can bite if you rile them enough!!
Your garden is splendid and coming along so nicely already.
Ooops….I keep meaning to send you 2 of my secret vintage images in an email. I have a huge collection of vintage photos and I’ve been going through them to sell some of them as digital downloads…but many of them will never be offered to the public. Going through all my old photos, I remembered that I have 2 very special photos…one is a little girl that looks just like my idea of Alice in Wonderland…and another of a Victorian era woman actually dressed as “The Queen of Hearts”. I will send them to you this weekend…as I know you’ll enjoy seeing them!

Oh, that Gus must be put to work immediately as chief gopher buster. How have those rascals been treating you, V.? We haven’t heard tell of them lately. Love the garden views and the promises of mad things to come! Have a weekend splendiferous. : )
Oh my beloved Enchantress, me loves the shot of your garden with the two flamingos in their respective gardens! Pure delight. I have but to gaze upon your glorious photos to restore peace to my somewhat battered heart 🖤 Thank you for knowing the song of my heart and singing it to me when I forgot. All is well now. I remember who I am. **blows kisses** Deb
Ooooo! Miss Vanessa…
I love your sketch of Alice…she is so sweet!
I love this time of year when everything is blooming and all things are green and lovely.
Must be off to do some Mad Tea Party planning.
I have lots of ideas…so little time…and so much to do!!!
Cheers!

The Cheshire Cat
Your garden looks so lush!!
……don’t mess with the gnomey boys!…..Gus sounds like an all time partier & loved Gnomey Bennet’s Fly Me to The Moon……
I am sitting in my office tonight just squealing with delight! =D
The only thing that has got me through this past year (since last year’s party) is the promise of THIS year’s party! I can hardly wait! I simply CANNOT wait!
I’m sure the Mad Hatter will understand your love for Gus… Perhaps he might have a soft spot for the Gnome as well?
Well then… Off to begin plotting & planning… and excitedly awaiting for your party announcement post!
Love & Gnome kisses! =D
XOXO
Omg gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i LOOOOVE flamingos!!!!!!!! i’m painting one at the moment <3 <3 <3
Oh, Vanessa! Your sketches and drawings are every bit as enchanting as your gardens!!
I’ve been so immersed in Wonderland lately, my head is absolutely spinning with Tea Party possibilities, hehe…er, MAD Tea Party possibilities I should say. (Unfortunately feel the need to make that distinction these days, lol.)
I’ll keep checking back for buttons and banners and such…
Can’t wait!!

How magical is your garden that even the flowers go above and beyond to be one of a kind.
Loving the Guster Miss V! He DOES looks like the guy in charge of your WHOLE garden world operationS! Under your direction of course!
I too have collected some garden gnomes through the years. I also have some smaller ones in my house plants. Funny thing though, lately they have been chattering about a white rabbit. Oh My! 😉
Oh, my garden Gnome, Oregognome, is so excited he can barely stand still. Actually he is out dancing with the turtles. The white rabbot stopped by with a blue suit on..well. ..I will just have to save allof this for the tea party!
Excitement, excitemment!

I think I need to go back to last year so I can preview & plan…. LOVE GUS! Charlene
Hurray hurray…the Mad Tea Party is on the way! I see you are in the throes of planning – your Alice sketch is beyond lovely! 🙂 I need to start thinking….hmmmmmmmm Your garden is as lovely as can be. I love gnomes, too. They make me smile. We have a bunch of them in our yard – and they live happily amongst the flowers. Every time I see a gnome, I think of the film “Amelie.” Hope you are having a lovely weekend! xoxo Theresa
Crazy, crazy.
And utterly
MAD.

Beautiful!
WOO! When is the party, when, when???? I want to do something here this year and I need to know how long I have to plan 🙂
I love your gnome. Now I want one too. But, I’ll have to get my gardens in order a bit more, or no one will be able to see it, LOL!
Hope you’re well 🙂
Did anyone else notice that your conjoined twin sunflower looks more like one heart-shaped sunflower!! You are indeed magical.
This is great!
Really adore the photos, and the sketch is fantastic :]
Take care.
Oh can’t wait for the craziness of the tea party Ms. V! Your Gus is just darling and your pink flamingos too 😉
Hugs,
Jamie 🙂
I can’t wait for the madness to begin. Oops…it already has!I have my camera in my pocket ready to snap a few photos while I am waiting. So much to do,so little time. let the party begin…
I do believe flamingos sound even more dangerous than emus, which until now have held the place of “most dangerous awkward-looking bird.”
I love the White Rabbit’s little sneakers! But then, I guess it would make sense for him to wear those, with all the running about he does…
Your garden looks great, Vanessa! Oh, and so are the gnomes and the flamingos you placed in there. Nice work on the pictures! I’d like to point out what Andrea said about those sunflowers again. They do look like a heart when they’re together.
Dearest Miss Vanessa,
I am so, so excited about the party!!! I’m still working on coming up with ideas, but I received the little giveaway present for my party in the mail today! Now, back to the thinking…*think, think, think*!
