Psssst, Guess Who’s Back? {With a Few Silly Stories}

I am done, Yippppeeeee YAY!!  The hugest part of my deadline is complete, and on an airplane.  I just have a few loose ends to wrap up.  But, I am basically done, and sooo happy to be making my way back through the looking glass

Through the looking glass 1

I have made more art in two months, than I have in two years.  I have packaged, stepped out, organized and sorted through bits and pieces, until all I could do was stare into space…

Through the looking glass 2

I challenged myself with this project (which I will reveal in detail, as soon as I know that a peek will be possible).  I am sooo happy that it is on its voyage, and I can finally breathe a sigh of relief…

Through the looking glass 5

Through the looking glass 3

You can only imagine what my work spaces look like.  Oh heck, who am I kidding?  The whole house looks like an explosion went off… ;)

I am not joking…

So many funny things happened over this last incredibly intense week.  I started going a bit mad. Or perhaps, a lot mad.  Mister Lovee truly deserves some sort of huge award.  Although he gets lots of massages, even when I need one myself, so maybe that is good payment?

He was on hand, working from his home office all week, so that he could make sure I didn't get lost under piles of paint and paper.

One day this past week, a storm blew in.  It has been 80'F +, for two weeks, and then it dropped to 50' with rain, for two days.  A huge treat.

Through the looking glass 8

So, I decided we needed to bake a pumpkin pie…

Bfeedme dot com image

And cover it with whipped cream from the can 🙂

Through the looking glass 6

I frankly, don't think I have even had whipped cream from the can in my home, ever…

So Mister went to the store.

Through the looking glass 12

We baked our pie, and it was yummy.  It made the house smell like fall, and stirred such wonderful feelings in my heart.

Then I pulled an all nighter.

In the morning, as I was having my daily grapefruit and making coffee, I decided that I need to shake the Reddi Whip can, open my mouth, and press that magic Reddi Whip button nozzle thingamajig

So, I did.

Through the looking glass 13

Because really, I had wanted to do that my whole life, or at least ever since watching Goonies 500 times, in junior high…

As I did this, I made sure Mister got a good look at my antics.

He looked up from his newspaper, saw me shooting Reddi Whip into my mouth from the can, and then kept reading.

Through the looking glass 14

He totally blew me off.  He really didn't care, and/or wasn't amused.

So, I shrugged and went on with my day.

In the afternoon, we were set to have steamed healthy tacos for dinner.  But, I decided I needed a pizza.  And, most of you know, I don't even like pizza that much.  Because, I don't really like cheese, and red sauce is only growing on me as I get older and make it from scratch…

Anyhow, I wanted Pizza and wings 🙂

So, Mister said, place the order and I will go get it.

I proceeded to call the pizza place down the road, 3 times, and no one answered.

Mister Lovee then goes looking for me and asks, "how much time before the pizza is done?"

And I tell him—-  with quite a somber look on my face…

"No one answered…and I called three times…"

Sigh… (we both agreed that, that was quite strange)

Now, keep in mind that Mister Lovee is of the Mother Nature, health food, Yoga Master persuasion, born Jewish.  And, I am of the Loud Latino Catholic upbringing (with a bit of French swirled in).

So, I jokingly (with a quirky smile on my face) say-

"I think God doesn't want me to eat pizza…."

And Mister Lovee says – (in his hilariously cheeky way)

"Oh ya?  And where was God this morning when you were shooting Whipped Cream straight out of the can, right down your throat?"

Hahhaaaaaaaa!!!  I laughed and laughed and laughed…..  Isn't he funny?

I love You

(Oh and, that night we had healthy steamed tacos, as originally planned :)

And with that hearty laugh, I was catapulted straight back here, through the looking glass…

Through the looking glass 4

Done with my project deadline, and ready for some serious fun!!

It's time to play.

I mean, really play.

The creatures are already showing up…

Through the looking glass 11

Stay tuned, won't you?  We are finally mere moments away, from revealing the madness, I promise.

I'll be back ever so soooooooon ~

🖤 ,V

ps:  Baby is doing well, she seems comfortable, but may have to go back to the vet for some other weird thing her meds may be causing.  I made Mister cry this morning by telling him that your prayers seem to be doing wonders for her.  I am not kidding.  She has moments where she is so herself, that I forget about that retched thing in her head.  I wish it would disappear.

Thank you soooo much for being so kind to us, truly…

  1. Oh I wish I could have seen you slurping whipped cream from a can…I bet it was stylish..heehee hee hee.
Looking forward to the excitement ahead and glad you are ready to play some more.
Look at all those packages…can’t wait to hear about those as well.
    Have a truly scrumptious day,
    Kiss Noises Linda

  3. Hi V,
I love reading your stories..you are such a whimsical spirit full of good energy. 🖤 Don’t ever grow up nor lose that magical spirit.
    Hugs,
    Stephanie 🖤

  4. Shooting that canned whipped cream directly into the mouth is one of the true guilty pleasures of life. LOL And it’s so hard to hide that darned can in the fridge so nobody accidentally finds it and I have to admit that I bought the stuff!
Your project sounds quite intriguing – I’ll look forward to hearing more about it.
I’m not a huge fan of pizza either – I don’t hate it – but I haven’t had it in over two years!

  5. Hahaha, you and that Mister are just the two cutest people ever 😉 I am laughing because my mister has taught all three girls to shoot whipped cream into their mouths from the can (this can’t be good…right?!) Anyway, I’m so glad you can have some mad fun now that that crazy deadline has been met…now I’ve got soooo much to do, ugh 😉 I think we are trading places V! Aaaaaand, we are on the verge of FINALLY buying our dream house (although ours is still on the market, oh no 😉 So, I’m stressin,’ but it’s all good! Now, I’m glad that baby is seeming to be herself and feeling good…always thinking about her! Big hugs to you all, chat soooooon…..
    Jamie 🙂

  6. Miss Linda says:

I am so happy for Baby that she is doing well. I have included her in my prayers, you see I still pray for my dearly departed fury friends. I think of them everyday as if they were still here. Somedays I know that they are. I also include my Bella who sleeps with me each night.
I can’t wait for your magical announcement. I am ready for business, I never leave a stone unturned…there is always things to add.
Thank you so much for all your wonderous magic. Thank you also for giving me my new title, Miss Linda. My students also call me by that name. You have made it official.

  7. Pat says:

It just makes me smile so BIG when I read your posts! Love the idea of pumpkin pie & whipped cream…the stuff in the can that you can squirt into your mouth. So fun! 🙂
There is much power in collective prayer and we will all continue these prayers for Baby…and for you & Mr Lovee as you walk this path.
Can’t wait to see what you’ve been creating!
    xoxo
    Pat

  8. Haha! Awesome. If it wasn’t nearly 11 PM – I’d go out and get a can of the Whipped Creme right now.

  15. Coppelia says:

J’adore le charme, la poésie, la magie, la douceur, la tendresse, la folie qu’exprime votre blog même si je ne comprends pas toujours tout, les images sont belles.

    Dearest Miss Vanessa!
YAY to you for getting your project done! We cannot wait to know more about it!
It makes my heart glad to know that Baby is comfortable and that you, Mr. Lovey and Matty are all hanging in there. Mr. V’s and my hearts are with yours. I brought you a new reader yesterday and so now there is one more kind heart to help you all.
(And about that thing that we are being so patient about…I cannot wait to know when!!!!!)

And could I have been MORE wrong about your project? Silly me, but really the Hotel Congress should feature your art work and VERY soon if they haven’t already…tee hee!
I’m glad Baby is having moments of being herself and I do believe pray works and that the Lord cares deeply for little animals. Oh and could you let Mister know that He’s not concerned if we squeeze whipping cream from bottles into our mouths…tee hee! It’s our hearts that concern Him most…silly Mister. Has he ever tried squeezing whipped cream into his mouth? I bet he did as soon as you left the room ;-O.
Much love to you my sweet delightful friendling ;-).
    xoxo Cori

  19. Mo'a says:

I have been thinking a lot about Baby…give her kisses from me.
I have never seen the movie with the Reddi Whip tutorial 🙂 it sounds like a hoot…perhaps I should buy one of those cans. Please, please tell me you don’t buy your cheese in cans…Ooooooo!!!forgot you are not a cheese lover…so it seems a safe bet that you won’t be up to any, cheese in a can antics.
xoxo to you and your family…extra for Baby xoxo

And good for you for playing…whipped cream from a can is delightful, especially when enjoyed directly from the nozzle! I think any time of year is perfect for pumpkin pie (one of my favorites!). Your pizza story is so funny! I’ve had those sort of instances here, as well. I think the hubby probably imagines my head to be on cloud 9 somewhere! LOL I am thrilled to hear that Baby is doing well. Pleas give a few more hugs and kisses for her, please, from me. Enjoy your day, and I’m so happy you are back!!!
    xoxo Theresa

  24. kandes says:

Goonies? What a silly movie. My aunt took my cousin, little brother and I to that movie a few times a week the summer it came out. We were planning to find a hidden treasure when my cousin, the oldest of us, turned 16 and could drive.

  25. Yay!
I look forward to hearing more about this mysterious deadline of yours! I want to be super duper busy too in the good way – I hope to get there very soon! 🙂
Spring is finally near. I found a flower bed full of little rainbows which I didn’t see until I looked at the photos later (and they were taken in different directions)!

  26. Nicole says:

It feels so good when you finish all your work!
I always wanted to try whipped cream (or maybe cheese) from a can in that same way. I haven’t tried it yet, but I will some day. 😉 What does it feel like?
I am SO GLAD Baby feels better!
Have a nice weekend, full of play and fun.
    Nicole

Well, I have been one who has been praying those puppy dog prayers along with everybody else, and maybe we will just pray that tumor away in Baby’s head. Miracles can happen. I am happy Baby is feeling more like herself.
You sound like you have been working with adrenalin rush to meet your deadlines…you deserve some serious play time girl!
Cheers and hugs and looking forward to some ‘MADNESS’ in the way of a radical, whimsical TEA PARTY!!!!!

  30. SueAnn says:

I thought of you as I was making handmade paper outside on my patio. The sun was ever so warm and the breezes gentle. The paper sheet was huge! ( 4 feet by 8 feet )!! And it just glistened in the sun! Then the heavens opened up and it rained!! Oh dear! I had to rush to cover it up..hehehehheehe!! Actually, I wasn’t too pleased though we need the rain. It ended up raining off and on all week. But the paper eventually dried and I was able to get it into my studio. It looks so beautiful. You can see it on my blog.
Baby is on my mind and in my prayers so often. I am glad she is so loved and treasured. And she lives in such a magical place! ‘Tis wonderful!
Take care dear one…can’t wait to see the unveiling of your newest projects!
    Hugging you
    SueAnn

Your pie looks divine, indeed!! What a treat for cooler weather amongst all the heat!
I’m so glad to hear Baby has been feeling more herself lately!
Sending you all the warmest wishes for this new week!! 🙂
    🖤

  32. Sending Sweet prayers just for Baby although I pray for all the animals about every night!!! Haven’t been here for a while, keep that whipped cream on hand, I LOVE it!!! I grew up with milk thistle on our hill where I grew up and it has followed me here even to the city popping up and surprising me in my yard!!! Hurray for Mother Nature!!

  33. sadira says:

My father used to squirt whipped cream in my mouth and my mother would roll her eyes and make us think we were really getting away with something! Come to think of it, my parents were hippies and very into natural foods, so I am really wondering WHY we would have even had whipped cream in a can in the house?! LOL!! I’m so happy Baby is having good moments in her days…she is so loved still. Give Mister a big hug!

  34. Ahh… the suspense, who needs Sherlock Holmes or the Lace Reader, when I have V dishing out teasings like this. Love the idea of your art going all over the place and a fest on the horizon! I send blessings dear. Pizza from the gods will come your way, hee hee.

  35. devil mood says:

Oh the pleasure of finishing a job well done! And being a little bit more free to put your feet up and eat pizza. Did you manage to eat some? Hope so 🙂

  36. karen cox says:

    C
p.s. he didn’t even stop reading? as you were opening your mouth for whipped cream?
has he been to the vet lately…?

  41. waterrose says:

You reminded me of the day that I walked into my kitchen and found my daughter (ms. healthy) spraying whipped topping from the can straight into her mouth as well. I was in shock and then we both cracked up…unfortunately her cracking up created a huge mess… Glad you got thru your deadline and can play again!
