Ooooo, it's jewel time!
Almost.
I am just finishing up taking hundreds of photos of jewels.
Earrings, bracelets, necklaces and all sorts of goodies I have been making.
I am adding a huge variety of new goods to my jewelry shop.
From pearls, chalcedony, golds, citrine, candy colors…
To delicious colorful gems like…
Rubies, amethyst, iolite, peridot, garnet – yumm!
Charms, dangles, beads, semi precious stones…
Antique elements.
Oxidized metals.
Crystals and more!
Such treasures I have searched high and low for to make lovely jewel treats.
I am so excited, I never make anything without trying it on several times.
If I would not wear it I don't make it.
I wish the camera would do a better job at showing how fun all of this is in person.
Alsoooo…
If you know me, then you know that I always wear a longish rosary pearl necklace with antique religious medals on it.
I first made mine 15 years ago from some broken pieces I had.
I have worn it nearly everyday since.
No matter what I am wearing, I always throw on my necklace.
Even if I have other necklaces on.
(I love layers of jewels)
It doesn't have a clasp, it just slips right over my head.
Often people come up to me and just touch the medals.
I know, could be awkward 🙂
But I guess they feel compelled?
Or, they ask me about it, or ask me where they can get one.
So, I went on a hunt for old medals and rosary pearls –
And….
I made a few to add to the jewelry shop as well.
So, they will be a part of this rather huge update coming in the next few days.
I just wanted to share a little peek.
Show you what I have been up to.
I got a little derailed by a bad eye allergy.
Don't mow strange dry grass in the dark okay?
🙂
Anywhooooo, I am sooooo excited about sharing these jewels in detail soon.
Are you into jewels?
What is your birthstone?
I have about 40 hours of photo editing to do.
A lot!
But scrumptious jewelry pics are coming, and then I will start the process of updating the jewelry shop.
Fun fun!
Loooove, V

Vanessa:
I adore your jewels. I am not a huge lover of commercial jewelry full of diamonds and predictable design. Your jewelry is unique and gorgeous.
I’m not Catholic, but I love the pearl rosary necklace. Hmmmm….I need to keep my eyes peeled for the day you list the new lovelies. I would absolutely wear a pearl rosary. As a reminder. Close to my heart.
I haven’t been commenting much lately. As you know, I’ve had some losses to work through, but I think I’m coming back. Bit by bit, I’m coming back.
So excited for the Halloween blog party.

They all look lovely! You sure have been a busy little bee!
Please send some warm air out here for me.
It’s supposed to be in the 30s tonight & tomorrow night. Only 40s for Sat.! Yikes!
They actually used the “S” word (snow) for the western suburbs!!!
Where is that LIKE button?
Splish splash, pop drop,

In the hood. Treasures
Traveling with memories raveling,
Glistening dreams in woods.
Wood boxes, glass boxes, ivory and more,
Dolls wearing, girls sharing, V.V.’s jewels store.
Mermaids swimming in kelp shade,
Wearing pearls oyster made.
That is where my birthstone lives,
Amongst the mighty sea wall shells.
Here’s a cheer to you and yours may the season bless you and your stores.
I’m loving the glistening and enchantment around garden life and woofy sounds.
To good and great cheer I love the flowers and your pumpkin patch,
The magic gate with the magic latch.

OOOh Vanessa….I adore Jewels, always have!! MY My you have been a very busy girl, it’s all so pretty 😉 I love the layered look, I find it more interesting and I also have a necklace that I always wear no matter what else I put on, as matter of fact I never take it off! ( OK, some of that might just be because I’m lazy, hee hee ) My birthstone is Emerald for the merry month of may, what’s yours?
Teresa,
sugar, spice and whatever’s nice
Ooooh, pretty! : ) Love all your jewels, Vanessa. I see a bracelet I like and I love those rosary necklaces. It has a delicate look to it that I love the look of and I like to just put something simply without fiddling with a clasp. I will have to watch your shop now to see when it is all listed!
Busy, as always, I see! Forty hours of photo editing?? Yikes! You will need lots of good music to get you through all that!
Sending hugs,
Betty
Well i’m sure you know that whats your birthstone is up for some discussion..lol As they always list several..Lets see mine is JUne so i’ve seen pearl listed for June but then also Alexanderite and Moonstone….. So i figure whichever one you are drawn to is the one…. I like moonstone even though i have yet to procure myself one…. I named my daughter Amber so i’am drawn to that one too and i LOVE the flashiness of a fire opal…… Do you have a favorite V? Hugs deb
Ooooo, emerald!! How wonderful! Mine is Turquoise for
December. I always hated that as a kid, but now I just adore it!!
ps: They used to say for December Turquoise and Aquamarine… but now
they say Turquoise, Tanzanite and Zircon, figure December would have a bunch of
wacky choices hee hee 😉
Miss Kathy, I will for sure let everyone know before listing 😉 I
love necklaces I can just put over my head too!
Hahahaha, photo editing is not always fun is it Miss Betty?? I took
me two days to take all the pics. Throw some extra time in there for
goofing off and baking a little. Then all day yesterday just to edit and
categorize the necklaces before putting them in my shop. Eeeeeeeee!
I was batty last night 😉
I LOVE them all Deb, I am just cant make up my mind. I cant say now
at all, as I kid I wanted everything red and ruby, but that faded at about
17. I have two fire opals still in the rocks in my case of rock
collections. I have to agree, delicious!!
Sorry for being so very late. Blame it on Michigan’s weather….Cool wet and rainy for 4 days in a row, plus working with the little ones and catching their colds and cough.. (cough cough)
It always goes to my chest…hack…hack..I am much better now and not coughing as much.
Your jewels are wonderful. I love them all…My favorite stone is…Turquoise (the rock) It is my birthstone and I love it. Unfortunately I am not finding much here.. I am desperately looking for Royston Turquoise. It is so beautiful…A robins egg blue with brown or copper matrix running through it. I’ve seen some but too large of a stone. Looking for one about an inch by an inch in a half. I know it is out there but where? Anyway I love all of your jewels. I hope all is well with your fury ones and you and Mister Lovee.
Miss Linda, take good care of you!! All is great here, just on my way
to turn on the Saturday irrigation system 😉
Dearest Vanessa…..Ugh, did you say mowing strange grass in the dark?????? What kind of “CRAZY” possessed you??? I’m just asking!!! Also, thinking YIKES, girlfriend!!!!
Well, I am glad you are recouping and busy with ALL your business that always entrances me! 😉
You make such lovely jewelry V, that would make any gal swoon!!!<3
Can’t wait to see the new necklaces, love the one you are wearing and also your top- it is so pretty!
Oh I am so excited, I just love your jewels!
My other friend said there’s a “THING” going on in the fashion world, especially New York and Chicago, called and *Arm Party* where ladies wear tons of jewelry especially bangles and bracelets. I can see you hosting one of those and sporting all of your handmade finery. 🙂
Wow, can you believe all these beautiful gems come from the earth…so amazing ! I have always had a fascination with gems in jewelry, loose gemstones, mineral specimens and cool looking rocks too 🙂
My favorite go-to piece is a very large faceted Black Spinel set in Italian gold for around the neck, however minerals ( more costly than some jewelry ) and a pretty rock make me very happy too !
I never really had a thing for my birthstone either, but after intense study of all gems I really love good peridot !
Can’t wait to see what you have in the jewelry store !
xxoo
There is? I have always been made fun of for the amount of bracelets
I wear at once. In my old job the women who sat next to me would say, you
jingle too much when you work 🙂 hee heee!!
