Mad Tea Party Prep Swirls

I am back from a quick little voyage out of town, with my brain all a buzz.  I all of a sudden have a feeling of excitement dancing through me, as I prepare for the Mad Tea Party 2010.  (Oh and, it is not too late to sign up, as many have asked that question.  You have ooooodles of time to decide if you are going to join in 😉

My little apothecary shop, with a Witch's Potions and Spells Shoppe twist, has become one of my favorite places to hide-out in, and conjure tea party ideas.  After our last Halloween party, I decided I had to keep it, and not put it back in its gallery state…

It sort of told me it wants to stay as such.  What with its sprouting heart shaped vines, right out of the window sill, how could I say no?

The vine drops little seeds, and I let them stay there.  I can't help but notice that, both the leaves and the seeds, are heart shaped…

I am drying many of the fruits of the garden, with grand hopes to create some wonderful little teas.  Lavender and chamomile, with sweet scents, do inspire…

I stop to play a tune, on my old German pump organ…

I watch tender rose buds dry in shades that quite influence the eye.  For reds and fuchsias and purples from nature, do blow away the mind.  Don't you think?

Its just the place I need to be, to dream up ideas for this Mad Tea Party

I don't like to stress out about party planning and art making.  I just leave the door open, and let them come find me 😉

And up until now, they show up with good timing…  (thank heavens and goodness me!)

But I dare say, I dare say, this tea party feels like it will be so full of magic and fun, and just the thing my year needed.  Clanking of tea cups, and striped stockings galore.  Mushrooms for seating and grass carpeted floors…

Oh Mad Tea Party, bring with you a spark, that all shall twirl and sway, and dance the evening away.  And perhaps, all shall be left forever with an extra dash of creativity, that will dangle from our hair, and sparkle each day at a quarter past three…

Oh yes!!  Let the madnesssssssssss boil and bubble!!!

And let the whimsy of it all, wash away our troubles…

I am excited about such fun, so I have to go run and make, and paint, and sprinkle glitter around today 😉

I hope you have such fun planning your tea party. Oh how fun it will be to see what you come up with! Thank you for sharing yourself with us in the “Art Saves” article. I found it very interesting that there are styles of art you haven’t included in your online world–as well as jewelry! Oooh, would love to see those someday if you feel led to share them with us. : ) I noticed you have multiple “Lindas” who comment, so I will now become Linda Diane to help you tell us apart!
