Hello friends!!
I've been a hostage to monsoon season, oh my!
Failing internets and no phone.
But glorious clouds and grey thick air days make up for it.
And now here I am again.
Hoping I don't lose this post as I've lost a couple in an attempt to visit this week.
I've been up to all sorts of fun things.
Lots of nature and visits with old friends.
Too much fun perhaps, haha!
I decorated a wooden post in the middle of nowhere.
There are so many wildflowers out in the green desert these days, I simply couldn't resist.
This weather has me in all sorts of scary movies and tea times.
I've taken everything out of my old trastero and am moving things here and there.
I think this will be the place for whimsical tea time, as opposed to fancy tea time in my other hutch.
Sip sip sip.
The autumn love is trickling in.
My delivery boy, who insists on carrying the mail, is making some mighty fun deliveries.
Early this morning the air was so different.
Normally it's warm all night.
But today…
It was pitch dark at 5 a.m.
And the air had a crisp tinge of cool before the sun came out.
Quite unlike last week, or even the day before.
The skies have been utterly magical.
Churning and turning in their own enchanted spell.
Phone pic sky from my backyard.
What an evening that was.
Perfect for inventing tales and hiding out in the tiny cottage loft.
I almost thought I could see Mister Darcy walking towards me through the green.
My Jane Austen dreams do overtake me from time to time.
I think autumn is really teasing its way in.
Sneaky curious little season indeed.
How are you out there?
Wells….
I best wrap up things and get ready for a movie and dinner date with my sister.
Also known as my sinister, haha!
Love, V
ps: I'm beyond adoring starting to send out witchy spell parcels from my shop.
Soooo much fun!!

Shame on those failing internets and rainstorm delays! Don’t they know we need our Vanessa fix?! 🙂 That sky pic though is seriously awesome! That must have been a great storm. I’m so ready for autumn!
love & blessings

ps…hugs & kisses to Matty and Miles! 🙂
I wish I had such a handsome delivery boy! Your photo of the night clouds is fabulous. I used to live in Prescott and I remember the monsoons every afternoon in August.
I admit it…I have been lazy and have not read many blogs recently…FB,Pinterest and Instagram has been taking up all my time. This has to change as I find blogs to still be my favorite…thanks to you and a few other favorite bloggers.
This post is enchanting…I love the idea of decorating a post in the middle of nowhere. Tea time…fancy or plain is my favorite pass time.
You and your live style is lovely xoxo
Love this post. Sorry you have had so much internet trouble but I bet all the wildflowers are beautiful.
Busy with cross stitch today. 🙂
Your posts just make me so happy!!! Thank you so much for sharing your magic 🙂
Magical images, I love the flowers on the fence, the bluish clouds, your funny doggy and the china collection!
My, what a handsome delivery man you have! I’ll bet he cuddles, too! Oh, such lovely things here. I hope the rains stop for you and onward to a lovely fall — not too soon, but soon, i think.
Wouldn’t it be extra special if all Autumn or Halloween magazines smelled of cinnamon and clove and the pages tasted like pumpkin pie when one licked them? That would make your mail carrier very happy indeed. ‘;) Which reminds me, my Madre – one of her cats likes to lick the pages of magazines. Wonder what it is that attracts it?
That sky is incredible! Definitely worth losing some internet. Whimsical Tea is the best tea. Looking forward to Autumn too, but winter comes too quick on it’s heels here in NY.
How cute, Vanessa….I need to visit your shop! LOVELY photo you captured with your phone….it does look like something out of a movie (or Jane Austen novel)….
The decorated fence post made me smile today. I’m still grinning….love that!
xo,
RJ
Witchy spell parcels sound magically delicious.
I can not get over how handsome and huge your delivery boy has grown!
Internet outages and weather can be a real pain but I know you well enough to know you found the silver linings.
Your photos are awesome!
