I'm concocting a recipe of sorts…
Letting baubles tumble around as I add a pinch of glitter, small and large.
Or, maybe teaspoons.
No no, tablespoons.
Yes.
That's more like it.
And stars for good measure.
Tinsel for luck.
Rose petals for a little garden magic.
Pink and gold, cause they're pretty.
Sheet music for dance & frolic.
Snowflakes for hope.
And then…
Swizzle it all together.
Turning off the lights and seeing if it takes.
I think it did!
Thanks goodness because the calendar says December 5th.
My tan says July 13th.
The sun says September 1st.
And my mind says…
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!
What the heck is going on?
Hahaha!
I'm literally lost in a strange bubble in time.
I worked on Christmas things all summer.
Watched The Nutcraker 2,000 times in May.
(more details in next post about that)
Now I'm not sure if I'm coming or going.
The weather says, please make a piña colada and work on your tan.
My friends say, are you wearing sunscreen?
My brain says, should I decorate for Christmas?
So, I do the most reasonable thing.
I toss glitter about madly and hope for the best 🙂
It's all you can do sometimes it seems.
This warm delicious weather has bewitched me.
Foggy from the sun.
Hiking up hills with great music every day.
But somehow, at some moment in time, in the very (very very) near future…
I'll plunge.
I will.
I must!
Mustn't I?
How about you?
Have you plunged?
Is it wonderfully wintery where you are?
I'm still getting roses even though the wildflowers are pretty well asleep for now.
Thanks for playing in the giveaway fun!!
Love, V

Vanessa:
There’s something magical about the pink and gold together. I love it so much.
I’m all decorated here, but I wish I had some of your sunshine. It’s warm today, but sort of icky and hazy. I crave sunshine.
Everything’s asleep in my yard except for my roses and nasturtiums. OH…..and I have one single purple clematis flower in bloom. I think it’s confused! My nectarine tree is golden yellow!
I am already ready for spring. Winter makes me nervous and sad. 🙁
Is it almost spring?

Congrats to the lucky winner!
Oh what a BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL post! I love all the sparkles and glass balls! How perfectly delightful! This post makes me want to get up and dance all around the room!
Hugs! 🙂
Vanessa, this is sooo pretty!!!<3<3<3
I'm continuing to decorate here as I just packed up all my fall decor Friday!
The Nutcracker.....2,000 times??? Do tell!!!
Congrats to the winner!!!! 😉
Seriously enchanted, Vanessa! Sigh!
Those colors are so pretty, and yes, I’m in agreement with the *GLITTER* theory. Add it to everything and it’s instantly better.
Florida: we’ve had a bit of “cold” here and things got into the 60’s here. Hahaha. We don’t truly get chilly until Valentines Day and then that’s just weird and annoying. I’ve put up the new Xmas tree and it’s an all white tree with colors of emerald green, gold, shimmering silver, and loads of sparkly angel wings and fairies. The glow is lovely. I crank-down the AC and pretend about winter and drink hot chocolate laced with liqueurs. ‘;)
Congratulations to the lucky winner. Love the beautiful pink and gold combination.
Congrats to the lucky lady.Yes,today it’s Summer here in Southern Calif.but I’m still decorating for Christmas and wrapping gifts.I suppose We here in the Western States can pretend We’re celebrating Christmas in Australia. Love all Your pretties. Denise
Thanks for the congratulations!!! I feel so blessed to be part of the Fanciful Twist community. The magic that is created here is a constant reminder to pause and celebrate the beauty that surrounds us. Merci!!!
Your pink and gold embellishments look glorious together! I walked around in my backyard today, soaking up the sunshine and breathing in the comparatively fresh air as we could see our High Sierra Mountains with the snow-capped peaks full of deep snow. The air was crisp and refreshing.
I am trying to think positively and keep my mind on lovely thoughts, yet praying for those who are in dire circumstances around the world.
A little bit of sparkle helps the mind stay at peace.
love,
Miss Teresa
Nah it isn’t wonderfully wintery here. Just annoyingly overcast and makes the evenings seem so long and dark. Chilly enough that the heat is on.
I’ve been decorating. I have 2 trees up and all kinds of doodads, baubles etc stuffed here and there. Even some snowman stuff and Christmas towels in the bathroom 🙂
Glitter is good
Such holiday delights, indeed!! Merry little Christmas-times to You and Yours!! ~
Weather wise it is an unusual year. Normally I would be up to my knees in snow and wearing as many layers as I could and still be able to walk.
Sunday I was playing on the beach of Lake Michigan, skipping stones, without a jacket!
Decorating this year is kind of catch as catch can since no one will be around to appreciate it. Still, the feel of the season creeps into each room.
Happy Holidays!
