There's a little mama, all cozy today.
Happy as can be, in her tiny little nest, situated…
On top of a string light bulb, of course.
What could be cozier?
Imagine such tinyness?
There she sits, warming her tic tac size egglings.
Tiny babies growing.
We think she's hummingbird heart.
Wouldn't that be something?
What a sweetie, ain't she?
Tiny tiny, on a little string light.
How cute is that?
I hope she feels safe and super cozy in her tiny nest.
I can see her from my office desk, she's right under the office stoop.
Which Mister Lovee and I bicker about because I love its tattered paint state.
It's poitively Andrew Wyeth, me thinks.
He'd like to scrape and paint though, gasp!
(for 10 years now)
Imagine?
Isn't he aware of the value in peeling white paint?
Haha!
It seems, Hummingbird Mama likes it too 🙂
Can you spot her there in the upper right hand corner?
Lovely little things in life.
Love them so, don't you?
Hope you had a wonderful Mother's day if you are a mama yourself.
Love, V

How neat is that! I’ve seen hummingbird nests & they are very tiny!
I’ve never seen a nest while the hummingbird was still in it!
I’m spending Mother’s Day at home with my hubby & fur babies! We did a lot of yard work today & now we’re hiding indoors!
There is a bad thunderstorm blowing through right now! It’s raining so hard that I can barely see the houses right across the street from me!
Oh rain!! I can only wish the desert had rain today. But the wind is Wizard of Ozish indeed. I can’t even see the mountains the wind is dusting us about so hard.
Happy Mama’s day dear Laura!! xoxo
What a lovely and sweet gift your hummingbird mama has given you. And beautiful as well. I’m so glad I found you through Tara. I’m so very delighted right here!
First….Happy Mother’s Day to you as the mommy of those wonderful Fur Babies…
Second, so funny you posted this today. Just visited the “Humming Bird House” in Sedona. You would Love it!!!!!
xoxo
Oh how wonderful Vanessa!!! My little nest went empty last week. 🙁 I Hope that next year I may be blessed with another! I was lucky because the day my bird took flight I had just taken some pictures that morning.
What a great spot to view your nest and I do like the shabby chic digs. Sorry Mister Lovee, I think you have been out voted by several gals. TeHeHEE!<3
How lovely! Enjoy the view from your window (and I have to side with you about the paint – but just don’t tell him!) Have a great week, Chris x
Awww, how sweet is that!! I have two tiny little green ones after my purple petunias this year. They are shy babies right now, I am thinking about hanging a hummingbird feeder! 🙂 They come from Mexico into Sam Antonio.
I love it and can’t believe that a hummingbird built a nest so close to your home. Amazing! With all of your nature in the plants, flowers and gardens, she must feel very comfortable. Plus with your two dogs, you don’t have any predators slinking around, so that’s a +plus+.
In the 2.5 years I’ve lived in my home, I’ve only had one hummingbird visit, that I’m aware of. Guess I’m too far in the city-grid for them, and I’m not sure if I’m on a migratory path at all; but I try my best by planting hummingbird, bee and butterfly friendly plants/flowers. 🙂
How lovely! I’ve never seen a hummingbird nest! So tiny and cute! I’ve been away from the computer for a months and have so missed coming to visit your world. I’m back now though and have caught up in all things Fanciful that I missed. You are so fabulous! Happy Fur Mother’s Day! 🙂
love & blessings

Oh how wonderful… Amazing view you have and to be that close to her. Hope you capture more of her. I haven’t yet put out my humming bird feeder as yet. It is still a little cool out. I hope you had a wonderful Mothers Day. For you are the Mom to all things you do.
Catch my rainbow…Please

I have never seen a hummingbird in a nest. Thank you for that little gift. So sweet.
Isnt’ bird watching fun. We have bluebirds in a house by the pasture this year. Makes me so happy watching them.
I am in love with hummingbirds. We had a feeder during the winter and they came often for visits, now they are waiting for our flowers to bloom. Lucky you to be able to watch this sweet little bird from your window. Keep us posted on the goings on there in that little nest.
It would be amazing if it were the same hummingbird who was in the office/house? Awww…what a precious tiny bird. The nest is so tiny! Tic-tac size eggs…oh! my!
What a treat for you to see as the babies hatch. Definitely a video is forth coming!!!
I hope you had a lovely Mother’s Day with your furry boys and Mr Lovee.
My oldest son and his dear, darling wife, who is expecting brought came to our house, late afternoon and gave me ‘The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug’ as I didn’t have it on DVD yet. That was so sweet!
Otherwise, I cooked steak, white rice, and broccoli for our dinner. I had my fun outing last weekend with fish and chips for lunch in Morro Bay.
hugs,
Miss Teresa

Oooooooohhh… She’s so pretty! And her nest is so tiny & cute… I love hummingbirds… I mean, I love just about every kind of bird and animal, but hummingbirds can always make me smile, no matter what. And I love to hear them zipping by when I’m sitting on my porch. =D
