Hello Octoberđź–¤

It’s here!

October 2a

The magical month of auburn light and cooler nights.

October 1a

Herbs and petals come back to life.

October 8a

And so I happily gather.

The beautiful scent of English lavender, basil and rosemary swirled together is just too good.

October 3a

The Hatter left us some warty pumpkins, just perfect for today.

October 5a

A celebration of seasons and colors explodes.

October 9a

Oh how I love you October.

Perfect time to make another huge batch of pesto.

I make a sweet lemon pesto, without cheese or garlic.

It’s divine.

I’ll have to share my recipe some time.

October 4a

But for now it’s just a quick hello.

October 7a

To say yippeee and hoooooray!

Our favorite month is here.

Wait, is it your favorite month as well?

It’s one of mine for certain.

You might have already guessed that.

October 6a

Thank you garden for all the beautiful flowers.

I just looove these days.

They seem to flow so quickly, so I want to immerse in every second of the day.

The zinnias and cosmos are ever so tall.

Swaying happily in the early autumn breeze.

Warm days and cool nights.

Sleeping with windows open and needing a thicker quilt at 3 a.m.

Bliss I tell ya, bliss.

To turn the sound of the air conditioner off makes me so overjoyed.

Happy October my friends.

I think we will have a Halloween party this year.

It would be our 10th annual.

I will let you know very soon.

Enjoy these beautiful days!

Love, V

See you soon a fanciful twist 300px

The brown hills that surround me take on an enchanting peachy glow on October mornings. I’m putting my gardens to bed today. I’ll miss the flowers. Thank you for the lovely post. I love the warty pumpkins.

October is my favorite, most magical time of year! Your warty pumpkins and herbs are lovely; here in Iowa the outdoor herbs have nearly given their last hurrah and the ground is carpeted by crunchy leaves. There will be a bonfire here Friday night so I’m piling the branches and logs high in the fire circle! Time to put out the skeleton family on the porch, set out the lanterns and of course, put pumpkins everywhere. Have a wonderful Autumn season, Vanessa!

  6. The photos are so beautiful!

  7. Yes it is my Favorite Month and Holiday Season as well, I Love everything about it! Your Imagery, as always, is Divine…

Hi Vanessa, I was wondering if you’ve ever heard of the sea-side town of Cambria in California? Every year the town holds a Scarecrow festival in October where you’ll find 100’s of scarecrows lining the streets and everywhere in town. They are all made by the locals. I looked up the festival and it said ” Where whimsy runs rampant” anyway I thought of you. I’m going up to celebrate my 50th Birthday this weekend Yay. Tuttles~

  10. Jen says:
