Fresh Goodies!

I have been so entranced with flowing solder, counting holiday cards and cutting labels…

That all my days ran into one big spiral.

So, I fell of the planet a little.

But, there are fresh treats now in the shop.

So, that's extra fun stuff 😉

Pendants 4

I listen to movies, radio shows and audio-books when I work.

I rarely look up, so my mind is really accustomed to listening.

I find that thrillers can make me work more steadily and focused.

Pendants 6

I made a handful of fresh pendants.

Hung them on their ribbons…

Pendants 1

And polished them up.

I think they make scrumptious gifts for you or others.

They are a bit bigger in person than they seem onscreen.

They have a nice weight, and sparkle too.

Pendants 3

I loooove soldering.

Pendants 5

My very loud and active brain, I have learned, enjoys work where I zone out.

I wish it would go on vacation sometimes.

The only time it shuts up and gives me any peace is when I am painting, or soldering, and especially throwing on the wheel.  Goodness I love that zen space.

The bonus, treasures emerge.

Also, I did some inventory and stocked up the Christmas card section.

So, if anyone is in need of holiday cards, the shop is stocked.

If anyone would like a bigger assortment or amount for sending, let me know and I can make a card pack with many more, or a different variety.

I am beyond glad to do so.

Also, I have gotten oodles of requests for my funny holiday jar labels behind the scenes.

So, I made a bunch of them and put them in the shop as well.

They are so fun and giggle worthy.

Decorating your jars is extra fun.

I love that part.

So, there ya go, stocking up for the holidays, which are not far on the horizon.

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, gasp!!

My shop link is here.

Hooray!

Let's see…

On the home front news.

You won't believe this.

It has been 75' – 81'F the last few days.

(that is 24' – 27' C)

Can you believe it?

There are roses coming up everywhere.

But more importantly, yesterday I stood in a flurry of hundreds of butterflies.

Yellow, orange, white and blue ones.

I tried to take pictures, but they were so fast.

Incredibly fast.

I'll try again today.

Butterflies flutter around 1

Butterflies flutter around 2

At one point several yellow ones gathered together and flew around me in a circle.

Then some beautiful white butterflies chased each other endlessly.

It was so interesting.

The basil flowers were covered in a gazillion varieties of little blueish moths.

Moths that look more like butterflies, so I am not sure.

It's an extra spring for certain.

I think that is why the holidays are so odd here.

It stays warm so far into fall, that Halloween and Thanksgiving can be one big blur.

But if we don't plunge, then Christmas smacks us on the forehead, and before you know it, it's February.

Eeeeeek!

Life is a whirlwind I tell ya, a whirlwind.

Okay, off I go for now.

Clay calls.

What's happening in your world???

Tell me, I wanna know 🙂

Looove, V

Sparkly heart

Oh Miss Vanessa, Everything you make is wondrous…
As far as our weather goes…HaHahhaah! I laugh.. This morning I woke up to take my furry ones out and it was 24’F Way too cold for humans and furry ones, we both had to put coats on.

  3. Nif says:

Your pendants are just delightful. Gorgeous! Your art fits so perfectly into them.
We’re full-on into holiday prep here. Canadian Thanksgiving came and went before Hallowe’en so now our eyes are turned towards Yule! And with temperatures at -13C today (8F) with snow flurries, well, half of my brethren are annoyed and the other half are relishing in it.
I sit, cozy in my cottage, making modelling clay creatures with my preschooler.

  4. Oh, sounds wonderful!!! It is warm warm here. Snow flurries
    sounds so lovely 😉

Its incredibly warm here too… for November 77 degrees! Thankfully the rest of the week and into the weekend is more fall like…. Who likes to break a sweat in November? Not me! But on the upside my blue Plumbago bushes are just full of blooms . They have been that way since i planted them in the spring and show no sign of stopping…. I want to make sure they can handle the winters here then i am planting ever so much more! I saw a hummingbird on them this morning too!
I’ve been spreading my time between the art/craft room working on a friends belated bday present ( ah well the muse shows up when the muse shows up) and cleaning the house and taking walks and petting my furbaby cat Jinx…….. its a good life at the moment… and i’m never one to take that for granted.
Love all your pretties V. The pendants are gorgeous! Hugs! deb

  6. Lovely Deb, I am like you, never take the good for granted. I love
plumbago, is it from South Africa? I cant remember… I had 4 and
they didnt make it over a winter a few years ago. I wished they
had. Either that or the gophers got the roots. I had the HUGEST rose
of shanon bush, so beautiful. But the gophers got the roots and it was
    history.

  7. Queenie says:

Such wonderful and treasure to behold!!!
I too have one of those brains that goes and goes, jabbering away with this idea and that internal conversation. Focused work liberally sprinkled with wonderous silliness keeps things on an even path :o)
Also, dancing with the furry ones!
    Have a great day.
    Always, Queenie

  8. Theresa says:

I have missed you greatly, Vanessa. 🙂 I see that the holidays are blooming in your little corner of the world. Such lovely pendants – I am going to have to splurge soon, I think. 🙂 I love working to “noise,” as well – music, the television…it helps me concentrate! We were in a deep freeze for about two days – it was just 36 degrees yesterday!!!! I’m looking forward to the holidays. I have not been feeling well as of late, but I will be better soon. I have my furries to cuddle with me and help me get well. 🙂 Enjoy the weekend! xoxo

  9. Misha/DawaiOser says:

It’s cooooooold here the past few days with a high of 61. LOL – cold for me at least. I’m supposed to visit family soon and where they live it’s 18 degrees. Ack, nooooo! This hot-house flower won’t know what to do with herself. I’ll be bundled up constantly and shivering, lol.
Our yellow Cassia tree is blooming like crazy and all of the yellow sulfur butterflies are flocking to it like mad; since it’s a host and a nectar plant-in-one. The blooms of the flower look almost like the butterflies and when they take to the air, it looks like the tree is taking flight. It’s magical.

  10. Elie says:

So many goodies! I love the pendants, they are so beautiful…

  11. Oh VAnessa…….your spot here is truly a place of “magic”. When I read your comment about being lost in your “zen” spot….i truly believe that creative time is our time with “God” and he is just looking down on us with sheer pleasure!
    Have a beautiful day,
    xo
    Jo

  12. DogsMom says:

Your studio is both a fanciful and a magical place.
I am so glad you have your old energy back.
It has been WINDY here. I can take the 20 degree temps but the windchills closer to zero, I have had enough of for a lifetime. The dogs have delighted in playing in leaf piles. I need to get a video. Their other delight is munching on frozen leaves. They play keep away with them and guard them like golden treasures.

  13. Linnea-maria says:

I love your art and a soldered piece around the neck would be something wonderful.
I also love to solder, I solder pendants of porcelain pieces.

  14. I like the pendant. Looks so gorgeous and beautiful. 🙂
