Dear Halloween loving friends,
I invite you back in time this All Hallows’ Eve…
To the curious visitor under the trees.
Would you dare enter a place of spell books…
Fortunes and incantations?
Pumpkin magic fills the air…
With glowing candlelight under star kissed skies.
What could this place be?
You tell me?
Would you like to have your fortune told?
Or do you prefer to never know?
A cloaked figure appears as you look around.
Hello my pretty, says a crackly voice.
Enticing you in with perhaps, a spell for love?
Your friends hide behind the bushes, wondering what one earth you are getting yourself into?
She beckons them in with a finger…
“Do take one of my caramel apples or magical cakes.”
Will you?
Shall you?
Then it is time for fortunes to be told, as her crystal ball shows her a message.
Do you dare take a peek?
Do you really want to see?
The woman is deep in thought.
Breathing slowly as messages come her way.
Do you run or do you stay?
Curiosity will always get the cat.
Or will it?
Is this a game of chance?
As you sit across from her, all caution thrown to the wind…
She tells you your deepest darkest secrets of things to come.
All I can ask is, what did she say?
Bwahahahahaaa!
Magical wonderful October wishes and happy Halloweeeeen!
I do hope you enjoyed your visit to our wagon under the trees at the country house.
I have to thank Mister Lovee and his scary mask (as well as his wonderful acting skills} for telling us such a spooky Hallows’ Eve tale.
I went back into the archives to find the original photos of this magical night.
I thought I’d upload larger photos without the editing I had done years ago.
If you fancy a peek at the original post with this story, it is right here.
Thank you for meeting us where the desert meets the forest.
Thank goodness for autumn and all the magic it brings out way.
Happiest Halloween wishes.
Love,
Vanessa

Happy Halloween dearest Veevala! And the same to your witch 🙂 I hope this night of magic and frivolity finds you casting a spell of only good happenings! (And maybe a creepy movie or two muhahahahahahaha) xoxoviiRoostah
Yes, please tell my fortune! How I could get lost in the surroundings. So very enchanting.
I’m so glad I visited your blog again, it never disappoints for Halloween magical yumminess and a feast for my eyes. I thought that witch looked familiar 😉 I’ve missed your stories.
What a cool place for such an ugly ole witch.
I would most definitely stay to see what my fortune would have been! :o) Mister Lovee certainly does make a delightfully scary witch! :o))))) xo, Jen
