I'm busily working on the final details to announce our annual mad tea party.
But, I thought I'd better stop in and say hello.
Such a crazy busy and hot June it's been.
And then the magic of summer solstice happened…
A little bit of rain on an unexpected hot day, and the sky turned utterly magical.
The moon danced at the mountain tops glowing up the clouds.
Then it burst forth like a glowing orb.
Such a beautiful thing, this sky of ours, isn't it?
Such a wonderful way to begin summer.

We're having some crazy heat wave, so to have surprise rain last night was nuts!
SO wonderful!
I've had the most busy June ever.
Visits and events and birthdays and projects and deadlines.
Phhhhew, it's been mad I tell ya.
But I'm close to sharing party details later this week for sure for sure.

Don’t you just love a full moon! We were at our cottage & got to see it rising over the lake. It’s so pretty when it’s reflecting off the water!
Such gorgeous photos! We understand heat! I am headed out to camp this weekend and highs are supposed to be over 100, NOT tpical for here in the midwest, with lots of lightning storms.

They full moon was amazing on the summer solstice. NASA said it was called a Strawberry Moon, when a full moon happens on the first day of summer. But, obviously it was not red or pink, like it is on a Blood Moon. A very fascinating subject, and your photos are glorious! It has been 49 years, in 1967, since the last time a full moon and solstice happened on the same day. That was the year I graduated from high school! And also the Six Day War in the Middle East. Times flies!
Can’t wait for the Mad Tea Party! I have been working on a mixed media Alice canvas since March. It’s been lots of fun doing the embellishments.
