I've been sent by the S.S.B.S. (Super Secret Bloomer Society) to make sure you have worn your bloomers this weekend (for at least 5 minutes). I assured them you had ~ You have, haven't you?
You mustn't forget how they add that Je ne sais quoi glow to your week! I shouldn't have to remind you 😉
You know which bloomers I am talking about, don't you? The chartreuse and teal striped ones of course!
Now now, don't act like you don't know what I am talking about…
You know, the ones you wear with your little black tap shoes and candy shop socks with lace??
I bet you thought I didn't know about said bloomers?? And how you frolic with Willy Wonka, whilst sipping chocolate from a stream – in your mind…
How could I possibly know this you ask?
Well, I saw you there, last night at a quarter past midnight, in my 3rd dream.
I was wearing the same exact bloomers! The ones from Cheeky Little Buns Bloomer Shop. I was told they were one of a kind – Then I saw you over the purple hill, in the glow of the pink sky, in the same bloomers!
I also saw that you were wearing that wonderful plump little fruit helmet on your head, just like mine.
Ahhh, we have good taste, don't we?
Only, I think your fruit helmet is plumper than mine! Let's trade 😉
I bet you are wondering if I have gone mad? Well, if you hadn't noticed, I was always mad – but the caramel sauce for my choco-flan cakes tipped me right over the edge of this planet…
Now, if you find yourself in the same predicament – you know, sugar rush land – you can always bring yourself back to earth with this amazing discovery I made…
In trying dozens of pizza dough recipes, I found a superb winner!
Here is the recipe right here – http://www.recipezaar.com/Easiest-Ever-Pizza-Dough-23137
It is so easy, I can't even tell you. I made a veggie pizza that was out of this world…
Pizza to faint over…

hi! yes i know you are mad because i’m mad too!!!!!!
your pizza looks so tasty!
i posted on my blog some paintings on fairytales!!!please take a look at them.i know you will like them!!!!
YAY veggie! Yay bloomers! Yay pink and furbaby and your Mr’s hair! Goodnight!
Yay first post! Yay sugar rush? Oh no, yay insomnia! Goodnight for real 😀
Looks delicious! Love that last picture-so sweet!
I made a lovely and very easy mushroom thingy today-large mushroms-the giant ones-a drizzle of olive oil, slices of halloumi cheese and slices of roast pepper(from a jar but delicious!) and parsley and baked for about ten minutes. Very tasty-and I am not the greatest cook so I was pleased with myself! I love mushrooms!
i love your posts- you are so very creative. I’m wishing I had a pair of those lovely bloomers.
It’s so hard to imagine that sweet face being mean! He looks so calm and sweet.
I’ve known people like that.
Delighful! Pizza and bloomers what a perfect combo! you are a wonder my dear!
Oh… those bloomers…. Yep. Got ’em on. Only mine are black with pink and white “Lips” all over them… Will that do?
Cute, I loved the last picture. And that pizza looks delicious!
What did you use to color the drawing from the top of the post?
Have a nice day,
Nicole
Oh dear! I was hoping you wouldn’t notice that my berry helmet was plumper then yours, but if you would like to trade, please, by all means, take mine. After all my hair is made from the same stuff of that as frogs (Frog hair I have, I do) so the plumpiness of my berry helmet would look better on your tousled thick curls. And I do believe twas the faeries who knitted my striped bloomers even though they told me they were uniquely made only for moi!!! But we do look cute in our matching outfits, don’t we? Let’s see…what should we wear next?
Such a darling post my beloved Fanciful Friendling ;-).
Much love!!!!!! Cori
Oh, so sorry, my delightful lil’ Cori distracted me. She is ever so cute. I LoVe this new piece of yours…so Delightful! And you are my favorite nut! The pizza looks so yummy…must check out your link. Thanks for taking time in your busy life~

I love how you say he is “very smool”, I imagine it in a British accent. I could talk like that for days.
I must confess, I’m rather grateful for the invention of panties…do “capri” length pajama bottoms count as bloomers?
I simply adore you and your magical posts! By the way, I mentioned on my blog but I tried the sweet saltines recipe and it…is…AMAZING! I want to make them all the time and eat nothing but them. If I wouldn’t grow ten sizes that is. 😛
thank goodness for fur babies they make the world better. my big boy is not so nice to anyone but me, my love and my family except my poor sister he doesnt like her. but he is the biggest big o’l love ball to me. thanks for your wonderful tales…
Oh, mushrooms are my favorite! That pizza looks wonderful – did you save a bit to send to me? LOL I love homemade pizza – I think I shall try your little recipe. My eldest dog, Willow, looks sweet and lovely – until you get her riled up. Most of the time, she is protecting me (I think). Thanks again for sharing a beautiful bit of your world…Theresa
As the HUGE bright moon shone in my window last night I remembered that I had visited in you your midnight garden and did not say Halllooooo!
now I am back and see this wonderful pizza recipe that I will have to try!
x…x
V…you absolutely make me giggle…that you’ve tried so many pizza dough recipes and you don’t even really like pizza that much. (giggle) But honestly? It shows a side of your multifaceted personality that you would need to master the perfect pizza recipe…I just adore you! (I think you may have already known that however)
We’re all mad here 😉 And that meany puppy of yours sure is the cutest!
Jamie 🙂
I have joined you in the sugar rush. It is the Fruity Pebble Treats I made for my son and keep sneaking a nip or two here and there. Your puppy is sure cute for a mean guy. I have a little girl who is the same. She sure has a snarl, but is a cuddly little lovey dove with our family. She has sneaked up on my husband’s chair right now playing lap dog, even though they both know she is not allowed on the chairs.
Ooh, that pizza looks so good. I would add some sweet onions and artichoke hearts. I’m not a pizza girl, either, but I love a good vegetable pizza.
~elaine~
I did not wear my bloomers this last week, but I can wear some this week. My orange and black striped ones? Or the black and white striped ones with the black lace on the bottom? Or my new black and white tie-dyed ones! Oh, decisions, decisions!
Gotta be a wee bit mad to make it through this wonderland, I think.
And don’t know if you knit, but these are the sweetest little knickers/bloomers ever:
http://www.ravelry.com/projects/tinyowlknits/unmentionables
– must make me some asap!
Blessings,
G
You also were wearing those wonderful garments: bloomers and plump fruit helmet and black tap shoes?? I thought they were French only, but apparently not!!! I am going to try the pizza recipe.
Bien amicalement.
Hi Vanessa! I cannot wait to try this pizza recipe. You are so FUNNY, hee hee.
By the way I love the color of Mister’s Shirt.
Take care,
Wade
Pizza looks oh so yummmmy Vanessa!
And the BLOOMERS…well now…I have always been a BLOOMER girl! And do you know how much I adore YOUR LOVE and ADORATION of your fur babies!
The way you capture the truest sense of their personalities is just so sweet. Doogan would surely love to come and romp with your babies in your fun and magical yard!
Happy Easter Sweet Vanessa!
Can’t imagine how adorable you must look on Easter!
xxooxx
You may inform the S.S.B.S. that I have, indeed, donned my bloomers this week! tee hee…..they do go so nicely with 1940’s cotton frocks, black stockings and moccasins! tee hee! 🙂 I think I must look quite a funny fright on my way up the hill to the post box each day!!
Just stopped by to enjoy the smell of your pizza…me wittle nose is twitching wiff delightment ;-).
”’He makes me feel safe. I love him.”’
hummmm…
would that be the furry one
or the one holding
the furry one?
🙂
{{ i am guessing BOTH }}
Oh I LOVE Super Secret Bloomers! I wear them everyday!
And that pizza…oh it looks Heavenly.
I’ve been meaning to tell you lately that Mr. Lovee reminds me so much of a character in a book I’ve just finished. Well, a series of two books actually…by Marisa De Los Santos. “Belong to Me” and “Love Walked In”. The character is named Mateo Sandoval and when I read him, I imagine he looks like my idea of Mr. Lovee. Isn’t that interesting? I mean, really, I have no idea what Mr. Lovee actually looks like. But…I think all of your blog readers have their own romanticized idea of Mr. Lovee! Anyway..that’s all!

what kind of dog is he? He looks like a cattle dog of some kind. Does he herd your other animals around the house? or even humans?
The only way that Daisy makes me feel safe (my cat) is that if someone were in the house, I know she would be hiding from them and me. So, if she is plain view, I know all is well in our home.
Ooooooh – that pizza looks amazing, and Matty is just soooooo sweet. My Cosmo is the same – loves his own people, but strangers, not so much.
I giggled at the title of your post – I just wrote a post last night titled “Sketches and Paintings and Projects, Oh My!” Great minds and all that, teehee!!
🖤 Carolee
I love bloomers, wish more wore them! Love bloomers from magnolia pearl! This drawing is sooo delightful! Enjoy the day dear! Blessings.
Ooopsie…meant to say that the pizza looks simply delicious. I adore vegetable pizza. Don’t like sausage at all..icky

Thank you V for the pizza dough recipe…I made it last night..it was terrific and easy! We love pizza here at my house. I usually buy Trader Joe’s pizza dough…but I don’t always have it on hand…this was so much better and I can make batches to freeze! Awesome. Thanks.
HELLO , WONDERFUL POST !! IT REMINDS ME OF THE KIND OF DAY I HAD LAST WEEK ….. ONE WHERE I WORE MY PRETTY PINK AND GREEN BLOOMERS WHILE I FED MY VEGGIE PIZZA TO THE MEANEST AND STRONGEST DOG ON OUR BLOCK ….. P.S. HIS NAME IS TINY !!
I was wearing the same exact bloomers! The ones from Cheeky Little Buns Bloomer Shop. I was told they were one of a kind – Then I saw you over the purple hill, in the glow of the pink sky, in the same bloomers!
