There are a few memorable…
Wonderful…
Delicious things in life.
One of them for me?
A simple one perhaps?
Warm spring days, windows wide open, and a nice breeze gently billowing curtains.
Back and forth, swaying around, glimpses of sun and porch.
I don't know why I adore it so much, but I do.
Do you?
Seems one of my littles does too.
Tail sticking out from behind the curtains.
I was dusting about.
Saying hello to Mrs. Mouse and her babies, who I have had since I was around 4 years old.
(I love them to pieces!)
When I noticed that perfect breeze, and Matty watching it so intensely.
So, I stopped what I was doing.
Just stopped everything, simply to enjoy it with him.
Rustling roses in the vase…
Fabric dancing about.
Quiet.
Peaceful.
Billowing.
Throw in some cuddling, and it's a pretty lovely afternoon, ain't it?
Tiny roses by our side…
Dropping petals…
With every breath of air that swirls in.
I remember one of my first times at the country house.
Almost 14 years ago (in a month).
Sleeping under a window, warm sun gently waking me.
I had slept in quite late.
I just kept falling fast asleep from the glorious warmth.
As curtains billowed in the breeze.
The sun so warm, almost hot, and the breeze fresh and cool.
It was a perfect balance.
I thought to myself at that time, that it was the best most wonderful sleep I had ever had.
I think about that time, that morning.
Everytime that spring breeze moves in and dances with my curtains.
Something simple.
But soooooo wonderful.
Are you a fellow billowing curtain breeze lover?
Happy Sunday evening!
Love, V

Dear Vanessa,
It has been too long! Life has been getting away from me and I have little time to myself these days. I loved finding your lovely comment. It put a smile on my face and brought sparkle to my day.
I am absolutely a billowing curtain breeze lover. Years ago, we lived in a home with windows that faced the late afternoon western sun, breezes and the last golden rays of sunlight flowed through those windows most days. I really miss that a lot. Love your beautiful photos. The whole setting is stunning!
Hugs,
Nancy
It is my most favorite….only I like the breeze to be slightly cool with sun coming in the windows on a Spring day. love it, love it, love it!
Yes I am and more so….I love wind ! I always have but ever since We moved to Rancho Cucamunga and next to the golf course that has 6 palm trees right near Us.The wind blows and sounds like waves.Rancho is known for the wind that comes over the Mt. pass right down to Us then the palm trees catch it.I listen to it while falling to sleep.
I love kite flying on these breezy March days! I remember always flying kites in the month of March with my grandpa, whom we called ‘Pa-pa’. He could get the kite ever so high in the sky where you could barely see it…us kids felt like the kite had almost reached the moon! He would tell us to lightly touch the kite string and the wind had the string so taut it was as though the kite had its own heartbeat.
Such a magical event are billowing curtains and breezes!
Thank you for this lovely Spring day post.
XO
Miss Teresa
P.S.
My Pa-pa would use fishing twine for the kite string and it was wound on a fishing pole reel, so the twine seemed to reel out forever!
;0) Fun! Memories!
I love a billowing breeze. Beautiful photographs.
Oh I do love the curtains billowing in the breeze too!!!! There is something so peacefully magical about it! Oh and the close up photo of Miles is so amazing!!!!
Love you,
~Dena
Oh so very elegant Miss Vanessa. A soft warm breeze sounds good right now. We are still dealing with dancing temperatures but Spring is defiantly coming fast. Can’t wait to feel it’s warmth. Lovely post.
Oh those white curtains just look dreamy! And the warm sunshine, it’s fast coming up here in the wild north. Sleeps out in the country are the best, they smell sweeter and feel more peaceful. That’s how I feel out at our lake cottage, there’s nothing to wake you in the morning but birds singing.
The stuff dreams are made of . . .
Lovely moment. Makes me want to go crawl back in bed until the singing birds and the sun gently wakes me, too. Sadly M-F, I am up at the crack of pre-dawn getting ready for work. LOL!
Me toooooo, I want to wake to gentle breeze, and maybe even some steel
drums….

Hi,
I adore this post and the memories you evoke with your wonderful way of writing and photographic visions.
The movie “Bright Star” had billowing curtains – you must see it, if you haven’t yet.
Thank you for your beautiful way of living and sharing it so freely with us.
May a spring breeze dance through your rooms*~*~*~*~*~*
