The last few days have been just torture. I have had the worst cold of my adult life. It crept up one week ago with the loss of my voice and a sore throat. I thought that was it, but then Thursday it pounced on me full force.
And, here I am, Monday, with what I hope is the last day of this awfulness…My days have consisted of this:
Thank God For movies(although I ran out of dvd's and had to break into an old video stash). I decided to brave my cold and stay at the loftish space where Mr. Lovee could look after me. As he is only 35 steps and 3 stairs away from my space. I think I have been quite the Medusa Spinning head Exorcist. But after a couple of days of trying everything and still not being able to breathe, a girl can go evil, ya know?
I got to see my Momm-bee on Thursday. She gave me my outrageous wonderful goody Easter basket, which held, lobster flip-flops from J.Crew, perfume(the only one I have worn for 16 years), and charms for my Juicy bracelet. Along with oodles of Candies and cuties….Although, I am barely getting to enjoy it today…
I had a great view from my bed all these sick days – My little Black Apple tribute wall. I was super amuzed with how all the framed goodies have gone crooked. I thought it was quite appropriate for how I feel…
When I tip-toed outside to photograph my Easter basket, I felt like I had been away for ages…As the whole yard is in full bloom! It must have happened over the last couple of days, because the trees were bare on Thursday and the rose bush was just dreaming of coming alive…..
I am nursing a very swollen over blown nose and still the lingering cold. But, I hope to see you in a few days! Or sooner! Thank you to all those kind tips and words on my cold. And thank you to Cally for sharing her Lindt Bunny with me(okay, virtually as she is a world away)…She ate it, seeing as how she says I am not to eat dairy while ill..She is a wise wise health girl…I must say! Okay, off to get well, as there is much more fun to talk about than sickness……xxo,Vanessa

Oh, poor dear… bless your heart, or rather, your nose! I do hope that your sickness is almost over as well. Thank goodness that Mr. Lovee was around to care for you. And hooray for Easter goodies. That basket looks divine!
xo,
Karen Beth 🙂
Dear Vanessa,
I am so sorry you’ve been sick! Your roses are lovely. I hope you’ll be up and around and really enjoying life very soon. 🙂
i forgot to comment on this from your last post…”i have a really self-centered blog”…isn’t that what they are for? it’s something in the world that is all about us! ;] those roses are bee-yoo-ti-fool! i just bought a pink rose bush, and a red climbing one…i hope mine look that great when they bloom! that is if i ever around to getting them planted in the ground! LOL!
What kind of juicy charms did you get??? I didn’t get charms, BUT I got a fabulous fairy doll in blue and green to match the red and black one I have and a Strawberry Shortcake doll!!! I want flip flops. Doood, it is so obvious that you are the more grown up of me and you, I am 26 and still getting dolls, hahaha! Hope you feel better soon!
Oh my love, please feel better, I have been worrying, I could sense something was not right…we are connected you and I…
I had to laugh at seeing “Beaches” you can only watch that when you are sick.
xoxoxoxoxo
Oh sweetie,so sorry about your health, but there just is something about surrendering to the swoon of sickness for a good rest, and you certainly deserved one(the rest, that is). My girls baskets were full of supercalifragilistic treats of the uncommon kind as well, tiny fairy lipgloss dolls and mermaids to bathe with, and grey skinny jeans(for the big one, your right growing up too fast, make her stop!),and ofcourse the ubiquitous Cadbarry eggs. Get well soon!
I hope you don’t have the same thing that we had around here. That lasted for like 3 weeks. It was awful! I hope you feel better soon, my dear!
Ok! I was wondering where you’d hidden off to. Being sick is such a pisser. I see you’re drinking your Yogi though and popping some C. Good girl. Hey, I hear liquor kills everything – how about a few very soothing egg shaped watermelon flavored jello shots?
Hope you feel better soon!
oh sweet Vanessa…hope you are feeling better!!!
Probably the change in season…
dose up on the VitaminC! and echinatea for your immune system…take time out to chill…
So sorry to hear you’ve been ill. Hope the spring weather boosts your recovery. xo
Don’t you hate it when your nightstand starts to look like a senior citizen’s? Oh feel better soon.
oh dearest sweet Vanessa! you were sick and i just found out now??? i’ve been so busy with my family, i had to skip my blogging world for 3 days which i missed terribly, and feel out of the loop!
well, feel better NOW!! that should cure it, hee!
love the Black Apple wall tribute – how delightful and the roses! such beauty! i adore them so! and the pink basket with goodies – Mombee is the best!! I love it!!
and what perfume have you been lovin’ for the past 16 years?
Hi there…….just stumbled upon your blog…I love it! I love all the art you have collected, I’ve just started my etsy obsession as well. So many good things there!
