Am I right in saying that you very well might feel the sparkles and flurries of enchantment and imagination swirling around you every now and then? That you are aware of that other realm of existence, more beautiful and vast than words can describe…
Have you ever felt on a golden day, when the sun is setting, that there is a small window where you can taste and breathe that place?
Where time stands still. Where sprites dance around you… Where for that moment, you are in touch with that magical world, and you feel the person inside, the one that you feel when you are alone, your true self, bursts out of you. And for a moment in time you are floating in your very own bubble…
When I was a girl, I would watch Legend over and over again (the soundtrack is wonderful). I was mesmerized with it, and I was certain that world existed… I have always been obsessed with cinematography, and that movie, with its flurries in the air, and sparkles, and elfin, gnome, fantasy world quality, took my young senses over the edge…
I used to spend endless hours alone in the desert, playing by gold mines with their rickety vintage equipment and vintage cars left in the middle of a desert valley down on our property. No one comprehending how anyone 50+ years ago got cars and equipment into a hidden valley in the middle of nowhere…
I made fantastical worlds my reality. And, they truly were my reality. My Mother greatly reinforced this as she was and is a believer of all that is other worldly and fantastical in the most ardent of manners. Telling me of fairies in chimneys and all grand scale of tale. Only, to have the validity of all of my Mother's tales, reinforced and spiced up by my Grandmammie…
I knew then, exactly what I wanted my life to be like. I never wanted to lose the beauty of magical fantasy. I held on tight as I could. Never losing sight of the fairytales and dreams, and ideas that the women in my life instilled in me. The idea that we make our own magic. That we matter, that we are special, and that no one can take that away from us unless we willingly give it up. I got dragged around, and beat up by life here and there (and still might). But by golly, I held on, and I will continue to hold on…
I learned, and continue to learn about me. About what to let and not let into my life. About what could possibly taint the quality of the world I have created for myself. I lock all of that out as best as I can…
Of course, what I am sharing with you works for me, in my life. I don't mean to preach. But I do know one thing. Negativity and negative people are the worst things in the world. I work so hard at blocking that out, and still it sometimes finds its way in. But now I am aware of it, and nip it as quickly as possible…
The best part of the entire recipe to magic is that, it is all virtually free. Magic is all around us. Take a slice, let your teeth sink in slowly. I say, be open to it at any given moment…
I am in this place right now, where I can't get enough of nature and all it has to offer. I want to soak in it until my fingers are pruned by the beauty of it. (or sun burnt if I am not careful)
As you know, I am living in the garden these days.
I don't know how the Gypsy Garden happened really. I took a few things out there a couple of years ago, as did Mister Lovee, and it just turned into a magical gypsy land. And we continued to move out there, everytime the weather was kind to us.
But you know what it was like? It was like these two kids (he and me) building a little fortress. You know, like kids do with boxes and blankets. And it is like, the fortress becomes the best thing on the planet to those kids because it is made by them from simple things… And it is a little haven for imagination, and play. But for some reason, you also feel very safe in your little fortress…
This is what the Gypsy Garden is to me… A place to be. Full of things I love. Textiles, an antique quilt made from antique Indian sari's, a bed made from a giant industrial refrigerator door and vintage milk crates. White lights, lanterns, candles… All things that were tattered or broken. All things that were mostly found or thriftventured. But all things we already owned…
So you see, the recipe for magic, is simple. Your imagintaion, a few white lights, and a penchant for finding the greatest adventure right in your garden, inside the house (a gypsy tent can be inside to ya know), or in your apartment. Over your bed. In a corner of your home. The magic is yours for the taking...
The portal into that magical world awaits us all…
Although, something tells me, you already had this recipe all figured out, and that I might meet you through the portal ;) Or maybe, I already have…
Send me a postcard from your magical little world sometime ;)
If you get a moment, stop to read true tales of a remarkable adventure, at one of my fave spots… The Hermitage. If you visit them, make sure you look back at older posts, their home/wagon is incredible. I promise you will be amazed!!
PS – Little Update here. You see it seems our friend Maria Therese has been having a no good very bad, rotten time. So, I called upon my fairy friends to send her a little magic.
Fairy here, fairy there, a little magic fire flair. Through the trees visit us please, and send some magic across the seas…
She carries a wand, she made herself, filled with all sorts of endless magic.
A little parcel filled with magic, is what she conjures up. Hanging from a tree, it waits for the sparkles to wiggle around and find their way out, setting the magic free…
And just like that, the magic is set free. Who knows what the beautiful sparkly magic will bring…
There you go Miss Maria Therese. Magic for you!! Now, does anyone else need a magic parcel in the tree? ;) ;) I can't make any promises about what the outcome will be, but I am up for trying anything ;)
PSS: Mammie and I have been on the phone for hours sharing all the recipes you all shared with me for V-day. I made the outrageous Lemon Chicken last night (shared by Katlandia)…
I wasn't fibbing when I said I was going to try all the recipes. Me and Mammie really are!! I am convinced that the only wonderful recipes on earth, are the ones shared through blogging!!
Oh and get this – poor lovely Mombie has been trying to make bread for like, well, ever :) And nothing with yeast is her friend. Sooooo, today, she said she would try the Rosemary Focaccia Bread. She just called freakin' out because it rose and she was now baking it, and it worked. She was beyond delighted. Screaming on the phone!! Thank you Miss Lavender Dreamer!!! I will let you all know as I make each dish ;) xoxo, V

V~
Oh how I need a gypsy garden of my own. You have inspired me (as usual).
Oh and by the way, I highly recommend the movie “Stardust”. It has magical and enchanting written all over it. I would trade spots with Claire Danes in a heartbeat… 🙂
Have a lovely day!!
Kylee
Oh, I am SO thrilled that she tried the bread recipe! It is so easy and so delicious. It’s also good to slice in breadstick sizes, toast it lightly and dip in olive oil with spices or EVOO and balsamic vinegar! OH MY!
Well, I am so impressed with what you just wrote that I have had tears in my eyes. I have NOT figured things out and I am constantly learning about how to live my life and bring the quality of life higher.
You also made me think of the movie, the Holiday. Did you see it? (with Cameron Diaz). When she goes to Jude Law’s home, the girls take her into their room and it has a tent…a most GLORIOUS tent! And I WANT ONE! My husband is still pondering! lol Thanks for this beautiful post! You’re imagination helps me expand mine!
yes, magic!
I needed this post. Just recently learned to try to nip negativity in the bud myself.
I had not one, not two but THREE computer meltdowns last week. New computer #1 wasn’t working. New computer #2 stopped working but could be fixed. Three days of driving broken computers to another town because mine is tiny.
Lost 53 poems in the crash. The only ones I hadn’t printed out and didn’t have on backup, just super scribbly notes of some of them.
And that’s just part of what’s been going on. I need some magic now. I need to bring some good fortune into my life again and don’t invite any more trouble – a Trojan knocked on my door tonight while grapefruit splashed into my eye and all the desktop icons disappeared and the screen looked darker. Enough already. Magic, please!
Lavender Dreamer hit the nail right on the head……your magical place reminds me of the tent scene in The Holiday. If you haven’t seen that movie, you must. It’s a real “feel good” kind of movie. My daughter and I LOVE it.
On another note……I know this may be a “far off in left field” question….but….what do you do to protect your Gypsy Garden from the rain? Those are such beautiful things and harsh weather would seem to be “unfriendly” to your garden.
Thank you for bringing a little magic to my world today. 😀
~Allie
Peeps at work are always s-h-o-c-k-e-d that this girl doesnt watch the news or subscribe to the local paper. Believe me, enough people tell me about current evil events and whats wrong in the world-i prefer to do my part by sprinkling my version of rainbow kisses and fairy dust to counteract it. 😉 Magic is where you MAKE it-when you let the elderly lady get in front of you in line so she can get back home before sunset; when you tip extra $ at the coffee place and tell them to either pay it forward to the next in line or treat themselves to something special; even just acknowledging people you pass by with hellos and smiles and “have a lovely day”. During holidays I amass tiny treats for drive thru peeps and waiters/waitresses; they are working so hard, they need extra magic!
Here at home, my magic is our version of the gypsy garden…”Coon bottom heaven”-we have extra mattresses we drag onto the porch, with misquito nettings and crisp cool sheets, and ridiculous velvet and gold pillows, lotsa lanterns and wind chimes and fun stuff-as soon as its warm i WILL set it up and send you a pic! (How is it i am in Florida freezing and you’re in Arizona toasty? More twilite zone antics, hee!)
Or, I coulda not wrote all of the above and just said, no one will ever convince me trees dont speak and unicorns dont exist.
And Vanessa, you butterfly elf disguised as a princess artist you, you are our living proof!
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox Rhonda Roo
I always feel that I enter that magical world whenever I visit your blog! Thanks for keeping the enchantment alive!
I used to love to watch Legend over and over, too. But it could also be so SCARY!! 😉
Thank you for the magic today.
Because of some negativity in my work world, I have been seeing that magic slip through my fingers.
I am working harder to keep my fist clenched tightly around it. Close my eyes. Sift the negative out. Breathe. Let the magic flow through me.
Thanks for your little bit of sparkles in that breath today.
I’m just adoring the Gypsy Garden once again Miss V…it seems to be a very special place! I’m hoping someday soon, I can have a place like that again! My youngest took over the ‘relaxation room’ when she was born…and not too much relaxing goes on in there now, hehe. Okay, maybe a little. But a place outdoors like yours would be wonderful…inspiring as always! That chicken does look yummy too, mmm, I can just imagine the scent of lemon. I love that your Mombie and grandmammie encouraged you to be so creative and imaginitive, that’s what I aspire to be for my girls. Until next time…
Jamie 🙂
P.S. Hope that magic wand works and helps your friend out 😉 I know it will…coming from you and all!!
Aaahhh, my daily fix of magic and whimsy…I can continue on my way with a skip in my step now…..thank you, have a simply wonderful day,
Kiss Noises Linda
Well~again, my dear magical gypsy queen, you’ve mezmerized me!! I have been needing a magical escape and I counted on you for it! And as usual you’ve just made me forget about my “real world” problems and let me enter into a world of magic and endless possibilities! I too shall try my own indoor gypsy magic and see what I can conjure up… In the mean~time, I’d sure love a little magic hanging from your tree for me!!!!!!
~Fairy wishes~!!
Just perfect..
Anji
Please send a bit of Pixie dust to Queen Creek. It seems I have lost my creative mojo and good old fashioned Pixie dust sounds like the thing I just may need to get it back.
I love “Legend” and also the one with David Bowie as the evil prince … “Labyrinth”, that’s it!
I wish you could take a sort of ariel view of your Gypsy Garden!
oh my oh my oh my
that gypsy garden is truly enchanted – and enchanting
I’m so glad you discovered my blog so I could find my way here!
Miss V, I have to confess I live half of my life in my own dream world most of the time!! I don’t have a gypsy tent like you do. I do have a nook in my local park where I go and talk with my trees that is my secret place to go. When the weather is warm, I’ll go and take picture to share.
I just discovered Hermitage last night. A beautiful blog. And I love your wand, I feel the magic in it.
I went over to Marie-Therese’s blog and showed her some love.
And, may magic rule forever and we never let it die!!!
What a lovely place to dwell and dream beneath the moonlit sky
while faeries dance about your head
with a twinkle in their eye.
Alas for me I dare not say, but since you have asked so sweet. I would fear to sleep outdoors for fear of what might creep…eeeeekkkk!
Hee! Hee!
xoxo Cori
Your garden is a paradise no wonder you’ve made a bed out there under the twinkly stars!
Let us know the very best recipes you end up liking V, I am so stuck for what to prepare my people these days!!! LOL
xoxo
You are the magic portal Miss V!
Kisses to you! (And a hug to boot!)

I just LOVE< LOVE LOVE your photography..it really is magical!:) Although I can't make an outdoor gypsy garden you've inspired me to make one inside my house.:) I am not the best at decorating and organizing, so blogs such as yours are so helpful and encouraging! I just can't wait til I see you've created another magical post!:)
Your stories and your photos always brighten my day bringing that little bit of magic…
…yesterday late in the evening the sun shone through a little gap into my bedroom and bounced off the chandalier scattering rainbows all around the room…hundreds of them…and I knew that there was magic about…
Thank you sooooo much! I can’t believe you conjured up some magic just for me! You ARE magic!!!
this post is so timely! really I’ve been thinking about this all week … did you read my mind? 😉
I love the room (I almost typed womb!) you’ve set up ~ it’s just gorgeous
*twinkle twinkle*
ps ~ I love the hermitage too
Oh My! How I would LOVE to spend a week, a month……in your fairy tale world.
Your gypsy garden is soooooooo enchanting and magical – LOVE it! One of my dreams is to have a gypsy vardo in my backyard as a guest house, or even better, a studio (although I’d need a much larger backyard, hehe!)
Thanks for another delightful post!
~ Carolee
Oh what a wonderful adventure it is to have a gypsy garden!! I am terribly jealous. I have Legend on DVD and watch it all the time. That and The Princess Bride are my favorites. I know them both by heart. I used to have fancy dresses like the girls in the movies too… I wonder where they went? Maybe I should make a new one for myself?
OH… I used to be a terrible bread maker! Then, I found the book… Artisan Bread In 5 Minutes A Day and now I can make bread all the time. It really works. Get. The. Book.
Oh Miss Lovey Dovey New Age Hippie, what do YOU call the first picture on your post? Hope sprung to my mind, and yet the photo conveys so much more than hope…in my quest of a better word, I experienced a lovely accidental find…lyrics by Lee Ann Womack…
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder,
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger,
May you never take one single breath for granted,
GOD forbid love ever leave you empty handed,
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean,
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens,
Promise me that you’ll give faith a fighting chance,
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance.
I hope you dance….I hope you dance.
Awe, you always dance. **blows kisses**
Deborah
Oh Vanessa, I loved this post! I remember creating amazing forts in the backyard as a kid. I didn’t realize how much I needed one now until you reminded me. I’m going to make one, and sprinkle it with some magical mermaid sand I still have handy.
Take care,
Martha
Absolutely beautiful and such a magical place! I’ve been in the process of making a special pinata (you inspired me several entires ago) but it’s slow in coming. My muse must be on vacation? LOL
Miss Fanciful! You have outdone yourself there with a beautiful outdoor oasis. My kids are always building something like this in the backyard. I wish we lived in a more rural area to be able to leave their ‘castles’ up.
I guess I missed the ‘recipe sharing’ event but if you’re still looking for yummies I have a fairly new recipes blog. My family’s favorite is the fruity upside down cake (we use pears). You can’t go wrong with it.

Dear VV,
Don’t know why, but no photos are showing today? Will be back to view your Gypsie Garden later!
I too believe in magic!
Without magic life would be nothing!

Hello Miss Vanessa,
This is a fantastic recipe…but did you see mine? :o) Are you coming over?
~ Gabriela ~
I think the closest thing I had to a gypsy garden was a teepee tent I had when I was younger. (Though it doesn’t compare to your incredible magical haven) I used to sit outside at night and stare at the stars. There’s something so peaceful about being outside at night when the air is still warm…it really is magical. I used to watch Legend a lot too. It’s a great movie 😀
Dearest Little Miss V…
Truly enchanting once again!… My only “freak-out” in sleeping in the Gypsy Garden is that I would be so afraid of the “buggies” getting me, that I don’t think I could get any sleep… Have you had any creatures trying to share yours and Lovees abode?
Hola!!!
La pelicula leyenda es magica…hace mucho que no la veo…
Todo magico y hermoso.
Besitos
Your recipe for magic has brightened my little corner of the world today….
sending sparkly joy right back atcha…

You are just so fun!! I love “Legend” and have not seen it in ages…time to add that to Netflik account!
Vanessa!
(shouts!)
I made the Sticky Lemon Chicken!!!!!
It is AMAZINGLY scrumptious. Beyond. I even used thyme and all the proper ingredients and I’m so thrilled.
Eating this one a couple of times a month now guaranteed. I’ll make my way over to Kat’s tonight to thank her personally. She’s a genius.
xoxo
Love you!
Gillian
Mmmmm…it smells good in here. To go with I did the fresh green beans and the baguette…a little cab sauv.
Ah, life is sweet. (It’s the simple things.)
Wonderful message and very well said! Thanks for the inspiration!
OH, if anyone had the receipe for magic it would be you! I love your gypsy hideaway, I want to come visit!
Your gypsy garden makes me so happy. Your photos are so beautiful! I have often dreamt of a similar outdoor bed and twinkle lights. You remind me that perhaps I really can do this in my backyard this summer. In fact, I will. When I do, I will let you know. Happy nights to you and Mr. Lovee.
Hola preciosa! Magic abounds in your world! I want a gypsy garden too! You sprinkle your magic everywhere you go. Wonderful little oasis you’ve created! xoxox
Its just so easy to let yourself be swept up with a bad attitude, seemingly from nowhere, and adopt that for yourself. I’m 7 1/2 months pregnant now, so we have a strict No Bad JuJu policy. That means an almost permanently unplugged t.v. and less time in front of the computer.
Your photo makes that chicken look DIVINE, I’m going to try it tonight, but on the grill.
And, I’m lazy when it comes to bread, I just make loaves of No Knead Bread. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/11/08/dining/081mrex.html?ref=dining
if you ever have children, they will have a blast growing up in such a fantasy world. wish i could blink my eyes and be in your world right now (and talk my lovely family too) i love afiori too, one of my birdies flew away to live with her. her photography is quite amazing.
have a great weekend
%^_^% rosey
beautiful beautiful post! thank u!!
What delicate, golden finger garden gypsies have!!
Oh Vanessa, those sun dripping photographs are so gloriously beautiful! I want to melt away!! SO lovely!!
And ‘Legend’….that was my most favorite thing to pretend when I was little! 🙂
Miss Lady Vanessa…I truely needed to read this post this morning when I came into to work and turned on my computer! I thought to myself…that pile of paperwork can wait until I get my fix! LOL I so need a gypsy garden…it’s looks, feels, smells magical…I close my eyes and can float off into that dreamy place! If only I could keep that sense of being while I’m here…LOL Thank you for sharing your magical world with all of us. You always amaze me and I so love your style! Thank you for helping me get through my day a little easier!
Cheers!
Are you sleeping out in the gypsy garden as well? I am gearing up for camping this weekend…something that I truly love and haven’t done in so very long, so I am quite excited indeed! I’m not sure it will quite look like your corner of the world, but I am bringing my own magic with me, so we’ll see…
Let me take this time to say “thank you” for this post. I have found my whimsy and magic put on the back burner far too often over the course of the last year. Sometimes, you need to see someone else’s magic to reclaim your own. After reading this post, I feel a little sparkle in my heart. Maybe, just maybe, I am getting ahold of this terrible depression and, maybe, just maybe, I’m about ready to give it a big swift kick in the behind.
Thank you for sharing your colorful and magical world with all of us. You may not realize it, but your words and photos can touch deeply.
I woke up yesterday feeling a bit more positive and decided to have a give-away on my little blog. If you’d like to swing by, you can have a look at the art print I’m giving away. It’s a print of my original collage/watercolor called “Rabbit’s Curious Day”.
Again, thank you so very much for sharing your light!

Vanessa, you beautiful young lady!!!!!!
My package from the OWOH give away arrived today! It is amazing and opening it was like a fanciful treat!!!!!!!!!! Just perfect and wonderful! I thank you sooooooooo much! Your blog inspires me and your creativity is magical!
:0) Hugs,Patti
Hello,
Could you place a magical spell in the tree for me (shall I do one for you also ???)
I have a wish. Could you turn one of your images into a postcard or print ??? I would dearly love to purchase Gypsy Life 12.
It would be a wonderful reminder to keep the magic in daily life.
As always, please continue with your wonderful site. In todays world it so nice to find a quiet place filled with peace, warmth and dreaming. I for one need more of that.
*sending you smiles and sparkles*
Hello, Fanciful you!
When the dough rises it really is exciting! I find it quite a challenge. I tend to kill the yeast!
I have been hearing a lot of negativity lately, and that is a bigger challenge. To keep it from becoming personal, that’s the challenge. Some people don’t take it on, and some people do, and I have to fight against it a lot. But one thing your post reminded me is that, as long as we are open to magic, it can happen. If someone doesn’t believe in other-worldly magic, that isn’t a problem. Being open brings synchronicity, which is like magic. Like, if you get a certain rental car, you suddenly notice those kinds of cars more often. Or, if someone tells you about a scarf they like, you start seeing it everywhere! And when you give to others, you end up getting more even if you don’t ask. You make your own magic!
That’s a very cool gypsy garden. It reminds me of what I LOVED about camping… not the RV type of camping, but the tents or sleeping bags, or even the sleeping outside and watching the stars until I fall asleep. It’s like a secret you share with the universe.
I’m not sure you will read this because it is way down here, but what a beautiful inspirational blog post. I love blogging and ending up on a road untraveled and I am so glad I found your road and your blog as it is so very inspirational.
Vanessa you are my fairy gateway. I could read you all day and then some.
Thank you for the video it was magic.
I would love a fairy package in your fairy tree. I am having a bunch of tests and scans in March for my cancer. I know it can’t be cured I am stage 4, but magic fairies, just help it to if not shrink then stay stable.
Vanessa I always tell you how much your writing means to me, and I want you to know once again that you are the fairiest fairy of them all.
Love Renee
The portal opened ever so quickly. I could scarce believe my eyes. There you were, asleep on your gypsy bed and such wonderful music filled the air. Ahhhhh!!!! So nice to see you dear maiden…with sun-drenched hair and covered in the most delicate laces. Beautiful! Me thinks I will keep this side of the portal open forever…we all need to share our magical sightings and dreams!!
I am going to spend my day gathering silks to fashion my own gypsy bed. My twinkling lights are ready to glow. I am ready to be transformed and transported.
Thank you dear one
Hugs
SueAnn
Your posts are always so magical. The magic you are speeking of is the magic My mother and I try to pass on to my 3 little ones. The oldest is at the age of questioning that magic, so now we have the task of teaching her to make her own magic for herself and others.
Hello Vanessa:
I so enjoy reading your blog and check it every couple of days. Would you be interested in exchanging blogs links?

Thank you for sharing such wonderful and positive creativeness with all of us. When ever I see your lovely gypsy tent I think of my mother in law. She is french Moroccan and has told me wonderful stories of living in Morocco. The tales she has about her parents and grandparents…right out of Arabian Nights…
can i move into your hideaway? i need to escape 😉
you’ve inspired me to build one of my own… though it’ll have to be inside (my yard isn’t private enough)
i was so in love with Legend when i was a kid, wanting to wander through woods filled with wonderment (still do)… looking up the soundtrack right NOW!
You are a magician and I believe in magic. It is all around us in the air we breath and the beauty we see daily. Lovely post, you always remind me of the endless possibilities life has to offer! Thank you! Suzy
You..missy…are magic. Each visit here is filled with your magic. I always leave feeling like I have been blessed by your sweet inspiration. I love, love this time of year. Everywhere I look seems to hold some magic. I’m going to go outside this weekend and work on my own gypsy garden room.
i have only just found your blog, and i am completely and totally in love with it.
everything you post and do is magical. i really don’t have the words.
you are an unbelivable inspiration, really! you are charming and creative and oh i really do not have the words!
you are whimsical and magical and beautiful and i will be frequenting your blog a lot a lot <3
take care
xx
That bedroom in the garden is beautiful!! I hope you don’t have lots of bugs or scorpions down there though. And camping out isn’t complete with out smores and dont forget the ghost stories:)
Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!
Oh my gosh, Legend is one of my all-time fave movies!! Soooo good! I totally recognized the scene from the movie without having to watch the clip…haha. I actually wanted to go as “evil-Lily” for Halloween, but didnt have time to design/make the costume. Maybe this year? 🙂
Where for art thou O Fanciful One? Probably creating magic somewhere.
I’ve been perusing your archives, what a treat…you are ToO DaRlInG!!!
xoxo Cori
I think tonight I understand why I feel connected to you. It is the spirit of the gypsies. My grandmother always told me that if I was naughty, she would give me to the gypsies when they were in town. I really wasn’t afraid, I knew she loved me beyond reason. But it did awaken the sense of adventure, a type of restless romance, that has continuted throughout my life. Thanks for sharing. I should just take time to create that for myself if only for a moment.
Be still my heart! This is fabulous. I’m so happy I stumbled into your world.
xo Isa
Oh my goodness. I have fallen in love with The Hermitage. I’ve read all of the entries I could find, plus her dissertation.
I also love your gypsy bower. I am trying to talk my hubby into building me a structure back by my pond in which we can sleep and eat in the summer. A sort of summer house. Of course our house will require a screen to keep the mosquitos at bay.
Erin 🙂
Dearest Vanessa,
I was feeling so frustrated when I got online. I came here to see what was new. I’m glad I did. My heart feels a bit lighter.
I have been trying for the past year to unpack my room. Being stack high from floor to ceiling with my personal things, which need to be unwrapped and placed in the new home.It seems every time I go in my room I’m met with a new obstacle, which stops my progress. I Desperately need to be settled and calm again.
Your magical wand and sparkles is a Poetic Dream. I long for my magic to reappear and settle upon my soul again. The past two years have been most difficult for me since the loss of my Mamma (mother in law). She was so dear to me,and I’m at a loss without her.
I am in awe of the beauty ya bestow upon ya page and allowing me to come and take part in. I want to thank ya hun. I appreciate it so much. I do wonder how ya able to keep the beauty of ya magic from the effects of nature?
Wishing ya a wonderful Magical night.
Big Hugs~
No way!!! You love Legend too? OH MY GOSH! That was and still is to this day one of my all time favorite movies EVER! I know exactly what you are talking about….the little faerie flurries in the air. They come every year here in early summer. PURE MAGIC! And of course, they always remind me of Legend.
The scene you posted is my favorite scene…
The soundtrack!! It is THE BEST movie soundtrack, IMO. I actually have the UK score by Jerry Goldsmith too, but I like the Tangerine Dream soundtrack the best.🖤 It provokes such a magical feeling. I love what Oona says at the end of “Loved by the Sun”…
“Sweet songs of youth, the wise, the meeting of all wisdom…
…to believe in the good in man.”
Your gypsy garden has inspired me to create one for my children and I in our backyard. Thank you! 🖤
My coven is celebrating all things faerie during the month of June, everyday we do something special, but I always go all out and crave for more.. I stumbled across this post in a round about way.. but oh how I thank you, and may you always be blessed for giving back the simple pleasures and joys, of nature and magick that always surrounds!
Hiii Veevalalalala! Did you hear something skittering around in the back pages of your blog? It’s just Roostah, looking for some inspiration for a gypsy garden! There are these pallets, see, that I think, if I put them together, in a square, would hold at least a queen mattress – and we just happen to be getting a new mattress/boxspring set and the old one is a queen and we have thousand year old oak trees and lots of twinkly lights and…well, YOU know 🙂
xoxovii
