Madness is a Flutter…

I am going mad, yes positively mad.  Making this, and painting that.  Baking this, and stitching that.  But, I have help you see…

Magical Concoctions 9

If you can crawl past the giant sunflowers, and their Jack and the Bean Stalk ways, you can get a peek at my helper.

Through the cottage window, a sparkle and a twinkle…

Why, it's Magic.

Magical Concoctions 5

I am talking real magic, of the most fantastically imagined variety.  Magic that lives where spider webs hold secrets…

Magical Concoctions 6

In the little silver building, that used to be used for canning (many many years ago)…

Magical Concoctions 10

But now holds, skin tingling goosebump magic galore.

If you believe, that is.

Magical Concoctions 7

Through the Mystical Peacock door, is where you will find me.

Magical Concoctions 11

Up to my eyeballs in orbs, preparing for mad tea, which is on its way in only one week, meeeeeep!

Magical Concoctions 1

I know just what mixture I need…

Magical Concoctions 3

To help make enchanted madness, out of weeds…

Magical Concoctions 2

Oh, and did I mention that the flamingos have arrived, just in time for croquet?

Magical Concoctions 4

Time does fly, but I just can't wait, Mad Tea, Mad Tea, in less days than 8.

Are you ready, to play & dance the night away?

Magical Concoctions 8

Just remember, try not to be late, late, for a very important date 😉

I am up to all sorts of nonsense, and don't tell Mombie, but I have been sleeping with all sorts of things in my bed (fabric, dolls, paper etc.), and paint dripping down my arm…

Magical Concoctions 12

All for the love of a Mad Tea Party!!

Off to prepare, and skip to my lou, I am so excited, zip-a-dee, do!

🖤 ,V

ps:  This year's party feels very enchanted forest to me, and this video I happened upon, inspires that feeling- don't you think?

  4. Ohhh how odd that you should be thinking enchanted forest…our little mad tea event is looking very much like a enchanted rainforest or garden…I am beyond excited as are the invited guests and they don’t even know where we are going….
I do so love this enchanted time of year you have created…the inspiration you give to me has a knock on effect that makes others around me remember to have fun and embrace the madness in their lives….you are a star!

  5. Linda Diane says:

So excited for The Party! Don’t have a blog myself to participate, but will so love being a guest of others, and especially you!
Hee hee, Vanessa! Couldn’t help but smile at the “don’t tell Mombie, but I have been sleeping with all sorts of things in my bed (fabric, dolls, paper etc.)” I myself have been known to assort my bed with various and sundry items whilst in the midst of various and sundry projects. Why, I have even been known to fall into bed with full make-up still adorning my face, too exhausted to remove it. Ooooh, please don’t tell . . .

  6. Cori. G says:

Ooohhhhh!!!! Loveliness is in every little nook and cranny of your enchanted garden. While I too am running late I most definitely will not be late for this very important date. See you then, or maybe before…tee hee!! Now off I must be for party preparing.
    xoxo Cori

Oh yes yes yes!!! Flamingos! I need some! Ooooo wait, will they eat my koi? Beautiful photos my beloved Magical Muse. You DO live in Wonderland. Three of my garden fairies are missing … are they visiting their cousins again? I am up to my ears in lace and mushrooms, sewing sewing sewing madly.
    **blows kisses** Deb

  9. Mary Lou says:

I love your magic shed and all that goes on in there! Can’t wait to see more..

  18. Juliet says:

I am looking forward to The Tea Party But I will be at the We Make London Summer Fair on the 26th so I will have to set my post on auto and catch up when I get back. I do hope everyone won’t mind me being a little late in person 🙂 I have been busy making special things just for the Tea Party.

  19. Vickie says:

I tried email but I appear to be having problems being rejected, oh sigh, the story of my life 😉 Anyway, I need to be taken of the roll for the 26th. Life has vastly gotten in the way I won’t be ready for a proper tea. I’m sure the queen would be saying off with her head! I’m vastly feeling like the white rabbit pulling out my pocket watch. I don’t want to disappoint any party goers. I do plan to blog hop though as soon as I find my way out of these crocodile tears.

  20. Theresa says:

I am sure what you have planned for your Mad Tea Party will be absolutely divine, Miss Vanessa! I cannot wait!!!! 🙂 I have been busy working on mine…the excitement is building. Hurray! Theresa xoxo
