I have something to tell you…
I have a crush on my newspaper delivery boy.
He is dashing, lovely, sweet – and he goes out of his way to deliver the newspaper, right to the front door, everyday.
You can imagine our delightment at such service, can't you?
It was a curiously wonderful gesture for his furry little self to begin making such deliveries…
I am smitten.
I am also reduced to a cheering clapping fur baby mama as Mister Lovee's newspaper makes its way to the front door…
I am so amazed he is doing this.
He started this on his own almost two weeks ago, taking me by such surprise, I tell ya!
And, he does it for zero pay.
Although, I insisted that he simply must accept a tip.
He lives to eat, so of course, he accepted.
Although, in the last week my baby went from plump and fluffy, to tall and skinny.
Growing waaaaay too fast!
Every time he goes to sleep, he wakes up a little big bigger, eeeks!
Now, isn't that a good reason (plus many more) for me to have a crush on my newspaper delivery boy?
🙂
As for daily human life…
I am baking two more loaves of challah as I type.
(one is getting walked down the street to my friend)
I am trying to squeeze in the last of the baking, before the heat arrives to stay in late April.
I gifted a HUGE loaf on Friday, to a birthday boy who loves baked goods.
Well, I better go feed my family, furry and human.
Love, V

Oh my, oh my….I can’t believe how tall and lanky Miles looks already! He’s going to give Matty a run for his money (or doggy treats)!!
Your bread looks heavenly. I wish so deeply that we were neighbors. I’m afraid I would have my nose through your door every time you baked a loaf of delicious bread!

Oh! Your paper boy has such adorable, twinkling eyes! No wonder you are in love with him! What a sweetie he is!!!
He was born to please the King and Queen of the castle! And to get lots of hugs and kisses in return! How is Matty handling all of this? It’s a dogs life…and he probably doesn’t mind. ^..^
That is so amazing!! I so want to add another baby to our home, but the right one hasn’t arrived!
i love your sweet blog. I can’t believe how your fur baby is growing and what a smart boy he is…delivering the paper. I want to reach in there and snuggle him.
Those first two pictures are so adorable. Love them!
Fondly,
Suz
Ha ha! I had no idea you were about to tell us that Miles was the paperboy with whom you are smitten! What a sweetie pie. Oh, and he IS getting more lanky, isn’t he, BUT still adorable supreme!
Oh, I love the color on what I’m thinking is your front porch. Beautiful!
I think it is so nice of you to gift some of your bread. I think there is not a much more heartwarming gift than one of home-baked goodies.
Have a wonderful week! I look forward to hearing more about it as the week goes on. : )
What a delightful little tale today!
🙂 🙂 🙂
What a wonderful paperboy.
And your bread looks wonderful
Oh me oh my!!! My first thought was, “does Mister Lovee know about your secret crush and will he be jealous?” OF COURSE HE’D BE JEALOUS!!! But then as the pictures scrolled down my screen and I saw who this dashing little paper beau was I became smitten too. And I’m sure Mister Lovee’s heart swoons ;-).
My Beloved Fanciful Friendling, your little Miles is too too sweet and they do grow up too fast!!!! Cherish each day with your little fur babies…but then I know you do “-).

Your newspaper boy is gorgeous. Wish I had one just like him!
Your bread looks fantastic! I just baked a loaf that didn’t turn out unfortunately, it was intended for Olivia’s grade 5 class and their Feast of the Ancient Civilizations. I suppose I’ll have to hit the bakery in the morning instead. Too bad I couldn’t recruit you to help me!
Enjoy your week-xo
Gillybean!
Cousin Douglas wants to come over and play…
Miss V! I haven’t visited your blog for a shamefully long time (work and study swallowed my life). But I just dropped in and this entry made me smile. And it also made me puppy clucky. Your newspaper boy is adorable!
You do indeed have THE cutest newspaper boy ever! What a super sweetie Miles is – and so smart! I’ll bet he loves getting those treats for a job well done. He’s getting so so big! Enjoy his puppyhood while you can! 🙂 And give him a big old squeeze, too! xoxo Theresa
Aww… reminds me of our only dog as kids…..his name was Rex…an Irish Water Spaniel… big…. and so friendly. He brought papers, mail…and even tried to get the glass milk bottles one day. Lifting them carefully by the top…carrying them around to the back door..hahahha….
Hi V
Due to lack of Internet connection I’ve been gone for awhile. I’m so pleased that you have another darling. I’m sure your Beloved had a paw in bringing the wee little one to your heart.
Do you make your own doggie treats?
Stay cool
Tina over on the East side of town
I hope you don’t mind Vanessa, but I think I have a crush on your newspaper boy too (can you give him a smooch for me 😉
