Mega Bolt (I’m Back, Hoooray!)

I am writing to you from a foreign computer.  Well, Foreign to me at least.  I am at the home of a life long friend of Mister Lovee's and a dear friend of mine.  He is a Musician, kindest heart, and a lightning chaser + photographer…

So, telling you all about my kind friend Dick Arnold, who is letting me use his computer, has taken me away from whining about why I am not at my own computer.

Let's just say that, the frustration level of having your phone line fixed, only to have the fixer take out your internet line and not put it back in is, well, beyond annoying.

(oh and, they can't fix it for 2 days, thanks Century Link)

It is glitchville around here, so, I won't be skydiving any time soon, because we know what would happen with my parachute….

I am on a glitch roll my friends 🙂

Nothing major, nothing life changing, nothing that really matters, just glitchy.

But, I will tell you this, if you want to see my friend Dick in lightning action (and our friend Adam Graham too), click here, you won't be disappointed.

See you in a day, I hope!!

Love, Vanessa

🖤

ps:  Get if off your chest, share your glitch tales of late too, and we can burn the list 😉

No glitch, complaint, or annoyance will be turned away in this post, haha!

pss:  I am back from the unplugged world!  Hooray!

(My whole family says that, if I were a cat, this would be me)

Happiest cat in the world

The most lovely lad came over from Century Link, re-connected my Internet, which got turned off in order to fix the phone on Thursday, and never turned back on.  So, he turned back on my internet on Saturday, and went above and beyond with service and great attitude.  He even fixed some bad parts etc., which the last 3 techs (over the last 10 years) didn't bother fixing.  I am sooooo happy with the outcome.  Not that you care to hear all those details, tee hee 😉

And, it's funny you know….

All the little glitches I have faced over the last two weeks, have been super aggravating, and yet, turned out with pretty great outcomes.  Even better than one could hope.

So, once again, I am taught to just take a deep breathe, hope for the best, and good things will come.

  1. Well this morning was a ‘glitch’ crazy one…I woke up, loaded the dishes in the dish washer and had my sink flood over with disgusting water (garbage disposal went crazy)..broke a light bulb..spilled tea (which I didnt even get to drink because I was out of honey to sweeten the tea) and while loading my car trunk, it came down on my head…::sigh:: so now I am sitting in one place and debating on staying in this spot all day..haha

  2. Jenn says:

    Miss V,
My latest complaint? I asked a guy out to coffee and he wants me to go see him at work because that’s the only time he has free. WHAT ON EARTH!!!!!!!!
    HAHA!
    Lots of love,
    Jenn

  3. Cameron says:

I typed in my blog address…and it told me it was deleted!!! What!! Where did it go?? What do I do??
…after some time trying to find a place to contact Blogger…apparently they don’t want to be contacted. All their “Contact Us” buttons lead you to forums where other bloggers talk about fixes…
I tried one last time to get it again …just in desperation and denial really…and it’s back! Scary….that my whole online identity can disappear without a trace…just like that *snap*
    Aaaarggghh!
I would have to start a new Blog immediately (with a different service, of course)so as not to miss a single party of yours!!
    Happy Friday,
    Cameron

  4. Hmmmm where to start -lol-
My acient home computer took a grumpy dump and decided not to recognize my mouse and keyboard. Was there a falling out… Was someone unfaithful… Perhaps it was the cold shoulder, or a shunning from the remote right click… Who knows. Honey Man came to rescue and hopefully we can carry on this weekend… All fingers and toes crossed.
    Have a great… technology hopeful… day.
    Always, Queenie

  5. Kelly says:

Good friends, good times, to help Us get through the crazy stuff! Some day’s U just got to let it go and accept what comes. The older I get, the more I understand how we woman like to control things and when we can’t we feel lost, you know out of sorts. Am I crazy? The sun will come out tomorrow! Tomorrow is another day! Just keep swimming! Que Sera Sera! Remember the song by Journey, Don’t Stop Believing! Yup, and this one, I Am Woman by Helen Reddy <3 & 😉

  6. Linnea-maria says:

I share your annoyance over Phone companies. The picture is awesome! It looks like the cactus is giving the finger to the weather 😀

  7. Jessica says:

    Dear V,
Well, let’s see…our faucet is leaking underneath the sink, so we can’t move the faucet without it spewing water everywhere. My sink is so clogged with something that every time I turn it on, even when the little plugger thingy is not down, it still plugs up. Oh, and my cat threw up on the carpet when he could have just moved over two inches and done it on the tile. And we had no food for lunches today and no cash to buy lunch at school.
Is that good enough for ya? 🙂
Just whistle while you work, everything will be fine! Think Snow White!
    xx Jessica

  8. I thought the same thing as Linnea-maria about the cactus giving the finger, which is probably about the way you feel right now…Oh,gosh! Did I really say that! Oh, well, life can suck at times…this is the ‘Grrr~!’ side of me talking.
    Ha!
But seriously, the videos of the lightening was amazing. My dear darling daughter has a few awesome lightening random shots, and someone asked her if she had ‘set-up’ for it, and she said ‘No’. We had a very freaky storm a couple of years ago, flash upon flash every 30 seconds and she just ‘snapped’ a few at the perfect moment…lucky girl!!!
I do hope your computer problems get straightened out…what a bummer!
What a blest friend you have to let you borrow his computer~

  9. That’s good that it wasn’t the actual computer and it’s just the internet line. It’s nice of Dick to lend you his compu.
Sis, can I just tell you, this whole week has been a week of mishaps for me.

  10. LuLu Kellogg says:

Hope your internet will be back soon!
I just came off a 3 week on/off bout with Vertigo so I feel your pain dear one. I am so glad you are better!
Glitchville….hmmmmm, well I guess I could complain that I stepped in doggie poo a while back. Barefooted. YIKES!!!
    Love,
    LuLu~*xoxo
p.s. We adopted two more furry ones…now we are up to 7 pups. 7 Pups = Goat Rodeo 🙂

  11. Miss Linda says:

My latest glitch. I just found a ladybug in our bathroom..She has no spots!
I love the photos that your friend takes. Great newsworthy story.

  12. Jackie says:

There are worse things in life, like getting old and decrepit! Hang in there sweetpea, unfortunately life will have a of years filled with frustration just waiting for you! Life’s a bitch and you know the rest. Keep the attitude of the smiley cat and you’ll muddle through. Fondly, TPL

  13. Jackie, Boy, do I know it 😉 You have to remind yourself to keep
smiling when little annoying things happen. When all these minor life
altering things happen, I remind myself of the big things we have faced, car
accidents etc, and the little things are so pointless compared. So, you are right,
smile if you can, and all will be grand 😉
But, the little things irk, and it is good to get them off our chests
sometimes, I know you agree 😉 Off to shovel goat manure for spring’s
garden. YAY!! No really, YAY! ;))) Hope it works good.
    Wish me luck!

  14. Chris says:

A glitch is the fastest way to find out what kind of person we are under stress. And aren’t we all about the same?! Change is hard. The unexpected is hard.
I’m so glad you’re back with your kitty smile!

  15. Annalee says:

First of all, you’d be the most adorable cat ever. XD
I’m glad your internet is back. Yay!
Last night I had some glitchy stuff at work. I work in the Staffing office at our local hospital. I make sure we have enough staff for the amount of patients we have. I somehow miscounted things & ended up short 2 RNs, but luckily was able to call them back in. Phew! I’m blaming this on my impending head cold… o_O
Also, the software we use (Kronos) is possessed by demons. Seriously. It’s one big glitch in & of itself… lolz.
Anywho… Here’s to an end to your glitchyness! I’m glad that everything that’s glitched out on you lately has turned out better than you hoped. Yay!!!
    Love & hugs!
    XOXO

  16. DogsMom says:

Glad to hear things are looking up for you.
I am grateful that my son gave me a “newer” and improved computer but with a different OS than I had before. So now I am relearning things all over from the beginning (even blogging is different on a new machine) but my biggest complaint is that I can not open many of the wonderful things I saved on my decrepit, misbehaving old computer. Perhaps I will keep it around, not hooked up to the internet and try to print out 5 years if saved goodies? Don’t get me started on printers with minds of their own…
And I disconnected phone service last night as I was just sick of them.

  17. Theresa says:

I hear you about being without a computer…during the October snowstorm, we were without cable/phone/internet for twelve days. It made maintaining my shop, blog, and email rather painful (to say the very least). I was more than delighted when it came back. xoxo
