There is someone on my roof plucking fluffy clouds out of the sky.
Taking huge chunks, really.
What should I do?
🙂
ps: Best part of being friends with neighbors down the lane?
One of your favorites, most beloved one (and her little grandot, who I adore), share a plate full of beignets (which they made from scratch) on a Saturday morning.
Miam miam!!!
I gave them homemade pesto yesterday.
Neighbor love.
Oh and, my other neighbor down the bend brought us a huge confetti cake yesterday.
For no reason!
Sharing fun. I love sharing.

Send him my way. Make sure he brings the clouds with him, because there isn’t a single could in the sky here today!

Go Pick some too and send me a fluff piece!!!
Hey, what do YOU use in that pesto? Walnuts or pine nuts I haven’t heard of!! and what kind of cheese? Romano or Parmesan? I’ve never planted basil before and it is thick! I want to use it and not waste such yumminess! LOVE the pics of those 2 furries on your previous post!!! They make me chuckle!!!
It’s good to do nice things for your neighbors..Yesterday, when it was so very hot (it still is 100) I saw my neighbor walking…I stopped and drove him the rest of the way home. His car broke down. Then I got im some lemonade.
Lovely cloud photos..I would like some clouds here..
I think I’d join him. I imagine clouds taste a bit like cotton candy.
Will do Miss Kim, over and out 😉 xoxo
Miss Cinda,
Make sure that you cut the flowering tops off as you see them, so that you
will keep having basil all summer 🙂
I use either pine nuts or walnuts, either taste good. Once I roasted
the pine nuts and I didnt like it, so just you a raw unsalted nut.
Also, take the leaves off the stems of the basil.
For pesto you will need…..about 4 cups of basil leaves, one cup
nuts, the juice of a lemon, one little tub of parmesan pieces(about a cup
or a hair more), and pinch of salt, 2 cloves of garlic, 1 cup or more
ofolive oil (I like light olive oil), and a food processor.
Put the basil in first and pulse, then the nuts and pulse a couple times,
then the garlic and pulse a couple times… Then the cheese, pulse.
Then turn your food processor on, and while it runs, slowly pour in the olive
oil, about a cup or more depending on how strong you like your pesto, more oil
equals less strong. Then lemon juice, then salt…
Then add more stuff depending on how it tastes, or leave it alone if it
tastes good. I serve mine on French bread… but you can put it on pasta
or homemade pizza, or dip veggie sticks into it…
Love, V
Vanessa

Would you mind sharing a piece? 🙂
We would love a fluffy cloud! Oh, but would you could you stuff it with a little rain before you send it to us?
How very nice to exchange goodies with neighbors!
Oooo! A cloud picking man! He sounds kind of intriguing, actually. Maybe he is just trying to cool down as clouds do hold lots of water. And it kind of reminds me of Judy Collins song about clouds… ‘I’ve looked at clouds from both sides now and still somehow…its clouds illusions I recall…I really don’t know clouds…at all.’
Your pesto recipe looks wonderful!
hugs and stars (((((((****))))))
Miss Teresa
Jessica, he said, sure thing ;))) You can bounce around all over
Disneyland on it. When is the date? Or did you go already??
Oh, yes, if there is rain in mine, I will surely share with theeeeee
;)) Miss Linda Dianeeee 🙂

Oh how I love that magical shot! Delightful! The baked goods look beyond drool-worthy. Please excuse my absence…family camping in wee home makes for BUSY! What a JoY to visit my most beloved muse. **blows kisses** Deb
There are plenty of clouds to go around?? My neighbors feed me all the time but not quite so elegantly..They know that I don’t cook..I guess they feel badly for me….
Can you send some of those clouds our way? It is still so hot and dry here. We were nearly blown away by a freak wind storm on Thursday, shingles off the roof, tree on hubby’s truck, power off for hours.
I tried those donuts once with a mix given to us by a neighbor, mine were tasty but no where near as nice to look at:)
Dear Vanessa…what a fabulous photo…reaching for the clouds (and stars!)…
And beignets…those looks fantastic!
We are in an apartment building, but blessed with the dearest neighbors as well…
I have to tell you, I just saw your lovely feature today in “Somerset Life”…I admire your work and style very much!
Blessings and sparkling light,
– Irina 🙂
CUTEEE! What a life and an imagination you two have together. The best home in the universe. Like Wonderland.
You always have great recipes. Have you ever done anything gluten free?
Ask him to make you a bouquet of clouds! 🙂 Those beignets look sooo good! 🙂
