It's almost time for Mad Tea Party season, isn't it?
I just started getting those magical tugs of belly excitement.
Through the looking glass beckons.
Dreams and stories and other times swirl about.
Choosing porcelain and fancies for the occasion.
Sparkles and fairy tales galore.
Fortunes told in flower petal tea.
Stacking the cups, gathering tea party accoutrements.
It's almost time to chat about our yearly mad tea party.
Can you believe it?
Through the looking glass we go.
Imaginations and whimsies running free.
I'm plotting and planning times and dates.
Next post I'll have the plan set.

Each year I think . . . how can she top last year and somehow you do, and so do your participants. I love how the Mad Hatter’s face is always just hidden. Tea cups swirl in ‘once upon a thyme’,
Leaves trembling, with unfurling lines.
The heat is a simmer, the pot a stir,
The looking glass a shimmer just watching her.
Suddenly singing, the flower petals dance,
Across Earl Grey’s swirling spoon lance.
Diving in petal imaginations set free,
To send a whimsie to the Queen during tea.
Oh my goodness what does she see –
This years Mad Tea Party sailing across the tea seas.
Jolly good call -dearest Alice and her amazing fall,
Down to where short is not tall.
Sending fairies and butterflies across the trees,
Hoping the little flutters tickle your knees.
With love and hugs, birdies and bugs,
Look over head- magic carpets with fleeting rugs-
Persian rose crowns , patchwork quilt gowns,
All for sale, for a bucket and a rail.
