Hi there friends!!
Happy summer, boy has it been hot?!
I thought I'd bring you something wonderfully lovely for the weekend.
My friend Nathalie at Beauty Counter sent me the most glorious rose water mist.
The company is amazing, no animal testing, no bad chemicals.
It's really music to my ears.
Check it out here, Beauty Counter.
It smells so lovely and is a wonderful way to keep your skin hydrated.
I took some time to read about their philosophy and I was really impressed.
No animal testing is very important to me, as I'm sure you would agree.
Guess what?!
Nathalie was kind enough to send me one to share with you.
How fun is that?
What a super snazzy way to start off summer I think, don't you?
Just leave a hello in comments to enter.
I'll come back and let you know who the winner is in a couple of days.
So, make sure to check back in to see if you won so I can send it your way.
As for life around here…
There have been beautiful clouds as we wait for monsoon season.
I caught a weird bug so I took some time to just feel good and relax.
And, it's been crazzzzy hot in Arizona.
So, I've been working to keep my garden happy.
The sun is just burning everything but I think it's hanging in there.
The Hatter, aka Mister Lovee is building a new shed cottage for more storage.
Can't wait!
Hope you're doing great out there!
Make sure you enter to win this.
It's so lovely and the spray bottle is glass, which I love.
You can easily reuse it.
Thank you Beauty Counter and lovely Nathalie Gagnon!
Peek in on their products, so wonderful.
I'll see you soon friends, I promise!
Love,
Vanessa
And the winner is!
By way of random number generator, lucky winning number is… 29!

Thank you all for playing, that was so much fun!
I'll be back super soon with a new post and lots of fun.
<3
ps: I'll also send the winner the dried rose petals & roses from my garden used in this post.

Wish there was a scratch and sniff feature here! It looks heavenly, especially with your beautiful flowers! ðŸ˜

Ooooooooh! That last photo of the clouds is so amazing! It has been H.O.T. these last several days. That rose water would be so refreshing! I have some rose geraniums that I love to rub the leaves for their wonderful scent every time I walk by them.
Good Morning Vanessa
I have never used Rose Water, it sounds dreamy* I also love that they don’t use animals to test. Oh those clouds are must beautiful. So glad you are feeling better. How exciting to be getting a new shed space for storage. Hope your day is wonderful Vanessa, stay cool
deezie
That sounds wonderful, and just perfect for the heat we’ve been having as well. Thank you Vanessa!
Would you send this Rose Water to France if my name is taken out of the hat?
First of all, glad you are feeling better. I’ve heard about the heat in Arizona and it sounds awful. I just don’t know how you keep up with all the watering in your gardens. Full time job, hahaha.
I would love to receive the Rosewater mist. Sounds so refreshing.
What your offerring sounds so lovely V..So good to see you pop in for a visit. i’ve missed your lovely presence around here… Fingers crossed… hugs! deb
Have missed your posts Vanessa, but glad you’re taking time to do what needs to be done for you – how quickly we forget to do just that and judge others who do! Always love a good rosewater mist, but frankly might be more excited to receive rose petals from your garden 🙂
Lauren
I try to plant fragrantly (made up word??) in my small garden…lilies, allyssum, tall phlox, lilacs, lavender, mock orange, Cleveland sage (my maiden name), and, of course, roses, roses, roses. One might say that I’m flagrantly fragrant.
Hi!!! I can’t wait to see pictures of your new shed!
Hi!
That sounds so wonderful! Your blog is always so inspiring to me.
My husband and I are looking for a house to buy, and my biggest requirement is for a yard to have the rose garden I’ve been dreaming of for years! I adore roses and would love some rosewater. 🙂
It looks wonderful – will definitely check it out, as I adore the scent of roses (yes, I am becoming my grandmother, hehe)… Now that I’ve moved house, I’ve been spending far too much time out in my own garden, instead of working, but just can’t help it when I catch the scent of all the old fashioned roses climbing the trellises out there.
Glad to hear you’re feeling better, and sending you wishes for a bit of a respite from all that heat. I really do need to visit your blog more often, it’s so beautiful and uplifting. Thank you for that.
🖤 Carolee
OH MY!!! That sounds absolutely lovely. Simple, fresh rose water. And….no animal testing, which is so very important to me too.
You are so kind to offer such a beautiful give-away. xoxo

Can’t wait to see who the winner is! Good luck to all,
Nathalie

I have seen on the news you are expieriencing unusual hot weather, so sorry, glad you are on the mend, the rose water sounds delightful !!! Take care in the drought/heat !
Celeste
Oooohhhhhh. I would LOVE to hydrate! 🙂
I’m always thrilled to see I have mail from you, thank you,
Barb
Hi, please do include me in the Beauty Counter “rose water mist give-a-way.”
So sorry to hear you have been under the weather–here in Georgia we are building our arks, as the rain has bedeviled us for too long. Rain is wonderful, until one becomes waterlogged and gets cabin fever. Summer is officially here and we can’t leave home without an umbrella. But this too shall pass.
Take care and keep those lovely cloud pictures coming–I needed that!
Happy Summer. I love Rose Water. I am sure the one you have smells like Rose Heaven. I was gifted a rose plant a few months ago. I have a kitchen garden since I don’t have a backyard. That little rose plant has already bloomed three beautiful scented roses. I just saw today, two new roses are coming soon. Gives me such pleasure.
Thank you, it sounds heavenly! Shirley
Looking forward to the new shed and glad your feeling better so you can post! The rose water sounds divine!
Hello, Vanessa! The Rose water mist sounds lovely–Just an hour ago I was watching a highlights video from a friend’s son’s wedding and Beauty Counter tint skin foundation was in the photo! I recognized the branding immediately when I saw your post!!! Uncanny. And glad you have recovered and are enjoying the (hot) summer–hot here in Florida too (but muggy!). Sandy
Hello Vanessa,
This looks like just what is needed to beat the summer heat! LOVE your blog! Vicki
Ooooh, rose water is divine and it’s also nice to use in desserts. Speaking of, I’d love to have some petals from your garden (since everything is organic and pesticide free,) because I want to make the “Confetti Cake” that you baked a few years ago.
Glad you are feeling better! ((HUGS))
I’ve been busy with a new job (finally) and I haven’t been online much, so it’s always lovely to pop-around here and see you have new blog posts.
Hello! You can see how many of us read you! I hope you’re on the mend….roses remind me of my Mom ~ when I was about 15, I forgot to spray myself with my Avon roses perfume on the way to dinner w/ my parents and my Mom made my Dad turn the car around so I could…funny the things you remember….XoXo to you Vanessa
What a sweet giveaway! It just captures your beautiful posts — thank you so much for sharing you beautiful garden and art with us. It is enchanting and brings delight to my day. I always am excited when I see you have a new post!
Happy Summer. Roses and rose water mist. what could be better?
Oh lovely, I’d love to win! Thank you, Vanessa!
Oh I adore a good rose water!! And so I say Hello, Heyla and Bonjour!
That sounds so lovely!!! Maybe I am too late for the drawing, but maybe not? :)It has actually been like fall here in Massachusetts. We had a few days of super hot, but then the rain came and cooled it down and took the humidity too. Hooray! I just love watching big storms rolling in. When it gets real dark, like the night, feeling the wind blow through the house, sending the curtains flapping. What a beautiful thing!
Hello Vanessa …..its too darn hot!!! Waiting and hoping for some monsoon relief….I think you had a bit of rain your way this past weekend…NiCe! I’ve been up early every morning watering my garden and yet my trumpet vines just try to hang on. Your flowers look lovely as always.<3<3<3 Wishing you all good health! Be Well and Keep smiling! 🙂
The Rose Water sounds oh so lovely, Miss V! Count me in for the drawing.
I have stepped up the watering around here too. My succulents can’t make up their mind to thrive in the heat, and over-watering them doesn’t seem to work either. It’s a Catch 22 sometimes.
Our two neighborhood cats come into our yard to lie in the cool grass. One of the cats, whom I call Stretch, lies on his back with his legs stretched out, and his paws over his head…such a character! Their outside water bowl gets refilled often, as they get so thirsty in this triplet digit heat.
With all of the roses you grow you could almost make your own Rose water! 🙂 🙂 🙂
love with a sprinkling of fairy dust,
Miss Teresa
Hello from across the sea! I love seeing your dreamy posts. It is winter on my side of the world and your summery summerness warms and inspires me 😉 Please enter me for the chance to win some rose mist, I need some flowery love during this chilly weather. Thank you, big smiles from Oz xx
I miss the smell of my roses when none are blooming. The rose water would be wonderful in between times. So lovely for you to share. Thank you for sharing your life and wonder always. Judes
Thanks for the lovely giveaway, even though I didn’t win. I want you to know how much I look forward to your inspiring posts and their positive messages. From reading the comments, I can see that others feel the same. A new posting from you always elevates my day. Blessings to you.
I love rosewater. Congrats on your new shed. I don’t always comment that much but I love reading your posts.
Vanessa, I heard about the Burro fire… hopeful you are All safe! My sis in Law moved to Sahuarita and we are headed up to see her and while there will do some sight seeing in Tucson. I plan to visit that Antique store Christine’s you have mentioned! I also want to go to the mini time machine museum as well and a few other places! Just a mini vacation outing ….sure wish it would be cooler there….LOL!!! Bee well! ….<3
Congratulations Sandra!!! I am so thrilled you won the Beautycounter Rosewater Mist!! You will be able to keep the summer with you all year long. Thank you Vanessa for this giveaway!!!
I remember those days when we lived in Arizona….the monsoon season would usually begin right after the Fourth of July. I would watch the wind and dust approach first and then the rain! The rosewater sounds so refreshing for this time of year. Lovely! I need to find some here in Alabama!
That sounds like a wonderful product, a light rose water scent.
