I just couldn't help myself, you see. The cool breezes brought with them cackles, broomsticks, magic spiders and well, what can I say?
I plunged.
Wickedly.
Happily.
Merrily.
Witch-ily…
Halloween witch is my favorite sort of costume. I have so much fun putting on black with glitter. Don't you? Don't lie now, I know you love putting glitter on your face π
I ran around cackling (in costume) as the witches flew in, with spells and tales of a year gone by, and a year to come. Mister Lovee didn't even flinch at my antics. Which tells me, he must be a warlock, and such behavior is simply quite common to him, haha!
So, as I cackled and sang haunting tunes, I set up my witch's apothecary shop, where Spells, Herbs, Miracles and Magic do flutter…
I know, it's early to plunge, but the most festive magical spooky time of year comes and goes so quickly. I have to start early. You don't mind too much, I know it. If you do, just let me believe you don't π
Sooooo…….
To celebrate something wicked drifting in…
I have packed my online shop with oodles of Halloween treats. Including my – spells poster in these photos. I worked so hard to perfect it. My Mom and Dad visited, and Mombie went bonkers over the poster. The colors are really delicious in person…
So, you can now find a large 11" x 14" spells poster (for the first time), on canvas, in my shop.
Oh and, I have stocked more of my Spell and Potion jar labels, in my shop as well.
I am already enjoying mine madly.
You can find the tips and tutorial, for using these labels to make your own jars, right here….
I also restocked all of my Halloween card line, which is making me so excited. Don't you love getting Halloween treats in the mail?? I do. I must get busy sending some of these out myself…
Yay! Fanciful Halloween goodness is the best sort of Halloween goodness!
ps. you are really good at putting on eyeliner. When I try to do it, it looks like I put it on in the dark!
You look spooktacularly lovely, Miss Vanessa! Did Mr. Matty see you in your eerie splendor? Just wondered what his reaction was. Did he bark or simply say, “Oh that’s just Mom. She’s at it again!” : D
Looking forward to more fun!
I’m with ya! Already plotting for pumpkins and Halloween enchantments! (My eldest daughter, who will be turning 6 on Oct 15th has requested a Halloween birthday party to the joy of her mama’s heart!) And can you believe, that this is the first year in all of my 31…that I will be dressing as a witch! Bring on the black and sparkles! (And some hot pink thrown in for good measure!)
Oooh you know I love me some glitter…and usually have it all over me and any given time π I love this time of year too…wonderful you have sprouts already! I spent the morning planting colorful Mums and picking weeds and filling bird feeders…now it’s time for some glittering fun (I’ve been adding cute Halloween goods to my shop too and one made it to the front page of Etsy last night, yippee π Love the new Halloween treats! Happy day dear friend,

Ooooh – Halloween is such fun and friends say that it’s *my Christmas*. I love this time of the year! In fact, some of my decorations stay up all the time as they have an old-world folk or gypsy elegance.
Since the first of this month I’ve been mulling over anywhere from 3-6 costume ideas for all of the various events; in fact one is at the end of this week. Plus the stores have been putting all of their cool stuff on the shelves and that makes me so happy. I’ve been taking photo’s of all the goodies I can’t afford to buy as it’s my form of therapy/window shopping. ‘;^)
Oooooooooooooohhhh….Missy Vanessa. It’s sneaking up on us, isn’t it? What a wonderful, wonderful teaser you’ve given us. Have a delightfully witchy week! ;o) Kathy

I’m guessing all of us who read A Fanciful Twist are into glitter! Jo-Ann has crystals you can put on w/eyelash glue for even more blingaliciousness…….
Love the crunching leaf sounds in your video……
I swear! When I was very young, a friend and I were walking home from school and it was Halloween. We looked at the clouds in the sky and there was a huge cloud, shaped just like a witch on her broom. And it was a full moon too. There used to be oodles and oodles of kids going around for Halloween. The last Halloween I went around to, I was dressed in a real Japanese kimono and my mother did my hair up in a French roll and she put black lacquered chop sticks in my hair and painted my lips red and I had mascara on…I was ten years old. We used to take pillow cases around and they would be a fourth of the way full of candy…that was a LOT of candy…and I think every kid in school had a belly ache the next day in school from eating so much candy the night before.
I love the photos of yourself, you make a very charming witch, and I love the spell poster and your lovely cards. Can’t wait for your Halloween Party!

You make pretty witchy make-up look so effortless! I love that I’m not the only one that’s broken out the spooky goodies… my witches and grinning pumpkins started popping up around the house a few weeks ago and were met by my love’s chuckles.
I can’t wait for Hallowe’en, especially if there’s to be a party here!
I am soo in the mood for witchies and cotton candy sunsets like tonight’s. This was so serendipitous. I love coming by friend. It is a joy to know it. Lovely shop goodies!!!
